Canadiens' Demidov Scores Game-Winner in Comeback Win

The Montreal Canadiens picked up their third straight win with a 3-2 comeback victory over

the Ottawa Senators at Canadian Tire Center.

Ivan Demidov delivered the game winner at 1240 in the third period by bearing a rebound,

and he also notched an assist earlier.

Jerosh Lufkowski opened the scoring on the power play, while Alexandra Texier tied things up

in the second with a wraparound goal. The Canadiens are now 8 wins,

one loss and three overtime losses in their last 12 games,

staying hot after beating the Maple Leafs the night.

Before, for Ottawa, Drake Bayverson scored both goals,

including one that put them ahead late in the first.

Tim Stutzle picked up two assists to extend his point streak to 14 games.

Their seven game points run came to an end, despite out shooting Montreal in the third.

Jacob Fowler shown in his first start since mid-January, stopping 32 shots after a call-up

from the minors. He stood tall in the final minutes to seal the win for the Habs.

The Canadiens improved to 36 wins, 18 losses, and 10 overtime losses,

keeping pace in a tight race. Ottawa sits at 32, 23, and 9 as they look to bounce back.
