The case came from two guys Joshua Frostro and Miguel Aguilar who said her track enough Miami ripped off their song Greasy Freibred

They claimed they made Greasy Freibred for rapper Stan Joddy and it blew up later on the FX show reservation dogs and YouTube

According to them Cardi copied it straight up and dropped her version in March 2024 hurting their rep in the industry

Cardi's team fought back hard arguing the original track wasn't even protected by copyright

The plaintiffs tried to pull Texas law into place and she performs there

But the judge shut that down quick

Turns out the accusers only got their copyright registration on October 31st

2025 way after filing suit the judge called any more changes to the complaint pointless and dismissed without prejudice
