We have some very exciting things happening starting next week on the Spiegel and Holmes show or the Herb and Wendell show, which is the alternate as both of our middle names. I love that. 4:05Jory Paris from CBS Sports. I want to hear about your excursion to the sphere where you saw the future of the concert industry. Amazing. And you need to hear about that. We need to commiserate a little bit about that. And we'll talk about the thieves that are sports owners. The three o'clock hour is going to be largely in fact entirely bears. Dan Weeterer will join us. Some of those Dave Wons did thoughts from yesterday that you might have missed because it came so late. We will hit in the three o'clock hour as well. But we start right now with the festivities there last night at Riggly as Pete Crore Armstrong hit the two run homer off of Logan Henderson Kevin Goswin goes seven strong for the win Cubs bullpen does its thing. But I think the story was the dudes in the first row behind the dugout. What didn't I just had serious formal. I'm like, man, to be 24, a superstar in the city top of my game. So much money just hanging out with the boys that are also superstars 24 years old watching your friend hit home runs like it's just so unique and so special because the pure joy on all of their faces.

5:11Yeah. It was like what I made me cheese and smile. I was like, this is fun. Look how fun. What's fun they're having. Yeah, they seem to like each other. Yeah, genuinely. Like Caleb and Pete really seem to genuinely like each other. And there's Caleb Wilson just kind of hanging out. His vibe was interesting. He's got something to prove to feel like he belongs there. And he's got a little bit of an edge to him as well. But Modus is very chill hanging out. Modus is home, right? He's from here like this is his comfort zone. And he's also a star here. Same age group. It's just it's a unique timing for all of them, I think at the same time. And yeah, Caleb Wilson's got to like fill out the waters a little bit and see like how do I fit into this piece? And hopefully he's a superstar for the Bulls. I've always been a sucker for like one team going to see the other and celebrating them. It feels like that high school thing where you know the football team would show up for the women's basketball game on the Friday before their game on the Friday night.

6:11Did you add their letterman jacket? Yeah, that's nice. Yeah, guys are here. That's exactly what it's like. I mean, they had PCA jerseys on yesterday. And I mean, the amount of times that I saw PCA on the sideline pregame last year at cold, very cold bears games was just cool to see. And he's there enjoying every second of it is like a genuine sports fan. Like let's not forget. Once you become an athlete, that doesn't mean you're not a sports fan anymore. For some guys, it does. It changes things. No doubt. But like when you're 24 years old, you're in you're coming off of like the peak of like the joy of sports. And you're not a business, right? So when you're that young, you're like leaning into like, they're just sports fans. Like how much fun is it just to go to the ballpark on a Thursday night and cheer on your friend? Well, and there's like a video of them hanging where Caleb's got the Madden football. He's got the Madden game that Caleb's signed for. Oh, here's those two. Yeah, listen to Pete talk about all the superstars hanging out last. They pulled up. We've been trying to get him out here.

7:11But tonight was the first night they could all make it. So you know, Caleb getting done with camp and modest and Caleb, you know, just getting ready to start his exciting stuff. So nice to take their time. But those are good people. Those are my people. Those are great representatives of Chicago. You know, they wanted to sit behind home plate. But maybe we get there one day. I also want to apologize to the people who had to sit behind Buma, our security guard tonight. His big ass. But awesome having him here. I felt the energy from the crowd when they got put on the board. Yeah, Chicago's got a lot to look forward to with those three. So, you know, just like modest going to throw the first pitch out of the White Sox game even. Like I think. And on the White Sox note, like when you guys asked about that rivalry, I, I, it's good for people to play into that and believe in that rivalry. But at the same time for us, like I think it's just such a good opportunity to showcase what the city has to offer athletically and on the baseball field specifically.

8:19But I think it's just huge having guys show up and support each other. And then I think what everybody doesn't see is that we are genuinely like each other as well, you know. So I think just that in itself, just the friendship alone is great. And I'm lucky to have that. But to be able to show the city that, you know, we're all pulling for each other and we all believe in each other is this huge. This goes back a long time in Chicago lineage, like this kind of feeling and getting a chance to see it. In fact, when we were talking to Matt Armstrong, whose Pete's dad right after PCA signed the long term deal, we talked to Matt Armstrong. And Matt Armstrong grew up, was it Naperville? Were Matt grew up with Walter Peyton posters on the wall. He was an all-state linebacker. And right at Naperville High School. The movie script. Yeah, it really is. And we got a chance to like talk to him and explain to him what Pete and Caleb were kind of representing for a new generation.

9:21So when Pete has a feeling for this town as a sports town. He comes by naturally. He comes by naturally. And it's like, I'll tell you Matt, we talked to Rick Sutcliffe a couple of weeks ago. And Rick Sutcliffe told us stories of hanging out in the 80s with Keith Van Horn and Jim McMan and others. So Cubs and Bears hanging out and they would call Jordan and say, hey, we want to come to the game and Jordan be like court side. I got you. I got you. All right. And now we see that happening with Pete and Caleb and modest Muzeleys who's from Naperville by the way. So I know that. Yes, so now you can vouch for him. Hensdale. Sorry, same thing. Modest is for Hensdale. Yeah, but but yes, this is so your son is gets to be part of this new connective tissue between all the different sports. I can't even wrap my head around that. Still, I can't wrap my head around that. That's PCA's dad. Unable to wrap his head around it. And here we are several months later. So good.

10:21Son is having an MVP season and it's happening. He and all those guys are pals. Yeah. And I think, you know, I think it's special to because given how the first half of the season went for PCA, it was kind of dodgy there. It was a little, he was not making friends across the city with his, the things that happened with the socks fan and he wasn't playing well. And to like ride that wave at such a young age and then now like peak, you know, he's not even at his peak. He's 24 years old, but to do it with the support of your friends in this time, unique time in Chicago sports where your friends are also superstars in the same city. It's just special. All right. So if we were to power rank all of the current athletes and or coaches in terms of like curating and, you know, talkability from our perspective, like interest level. Okay. Like if we were to sit here and open the phone lines and go Caleb Williams, your thoughts and just let people call and text, right?

11:25Phone lines light up to talk about Caleb. I think he's number one. Has to be. I think he's a clear cut winner. I think he's a clear cut winner. Why? Because the bears. The bears because they again, it's different when you're not, you know, then that's not a knock on PCA, but one half of the city is not a fan of your baseball team. So that's tough. Caleb is everyone loves Caleb Williams. If you love football and you love the Chicago Bears in the city of Chicago, Caleb Williams is your superstar. I think it's also some players are just special and they have that it factor. Caleb Williams knows how to be a superstar. He knows which things to get involved with, how to brand himself, how to be involved in certain projects, how to present himself, how to show up at these sporting events because there are talented athletes that we've covered that we've seen come through cities that they don't want to do that, right? They don't want to go to the Bulls game. They don't want to go to the Hawks game. They don't want to bang on the glass. They don't want to they don't want to be part of that embrace of the city. And that would be talent aside.

12:26That's all of the things that they do on the field aside. Caleb embraces it. He wants to like dive headfirst into it. That's what makes you a superstar. So I think Caleb is number one. Nothing unifies the city like the bears. I think PCA is probably number two in this town right now. Right now he's definitely power ranking like the Q rating of the sports players and coaches. Who's three? Like all those guys were there last night. You got Madison Caleb there last night, but who's three? I don't think they're up there yet. I think they have a little bit Caleb certainly had Caleb Wilson has more to prove he hasn't even played. I would agree. Let's see if we can round out our top five here. Okay. I think three might be Ben Johnson superstar. And not often do we hear about head coaches being a star, but good, better best. You see it on t-shirts everywhere. I mean, I will open my phone and scroll tiktok or whatever. And there are videos of just Ben Johnson being a coach or just him being out in public. And like people like they love that.

13:27They've embraced him. So star status, which is unique for a head coach. It's a different kind of startup. Well, it is. But look, there was a time in this town where LuPanela and Ozzy Gian were in this top five. I mean, there was like an Aussie like. So, you know, it can't happen. So, yeah, I think Caleb is one thing. PCA is two. I think Ben Johnson is three. This is where it gets hard. Four and five. Help us flesh out four and five of our initial power rankings of. What about now? Oh, I got one of sports of athlete and coach Q ratings in Chicago. Cussies back. Patrick Kane. Let's discuss where does Patrick Kane fall? Is he ahead of Connor Bidard?
