Welcome in.
This is New York Mets News today, where Team Coverage meets AI.
Christian Scott made his return to the majors with the Mets after a long rehab from Tommy
John's surgery, but his first start didn't go smooth at all.
He'd been sharp and sure belay-layly, giving up just two runs and striking out 12 overtain
in a third innings in his last two outings there, so the team called him up when their
rotation needed help.
The 26-year-old Wrighty got overwhelmed quick, lasting only one in a third innings while
walking five and hitting a batter, which spiraled out of control for him.
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza had high hopes, saying Scott earned the shot with his recent
form, but they sent him right back to Syracuse the next day to regroup.
Now with Cody Senga hitting the injured list this week, Scott gets another crack at it,
Friday night against the Angels, and he's fired up to prove he belongs up here long
in terms.
