Colton Joseph Brings BYU Magic to Wisconsin

On April 8th, the Wisconsin Badges quarterback room got a major upgrade this spring and

transfer Colton Joseph is stealing the spotlight.

He's the new dual threat guy brought in to shake things up and what sealed the deal for him was

a film session with offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes. Grimes showed him plays from Zach Wilson

back when he was lighting it up at BYU, dropping 33 passing touchdowns and 10 rushing ones on the

day. Way to being the number two overall NFL draft pick. Grimes coached Wilson that explosive

2020 season and Joseph saw himself in those cut-ups mobile making plays off schedule using his legs

to create big gains. It was an eye opener for Joseph who said he could thrive in that same system

here in Madison. Joseph knows the badges have struggled with off-script magic lately so he's

ready to bring that point guard vibe, dishing to receivers like he's. Running the break in

basketball. Whether scrambling out of the pocket or tucking and running his athleticism could

add serious pop to the offense. He's also laser focused on team chemistry hitting the field early

to pump up the squad and fight those slow starts and practice. Off the field they're building bonds,

grabbing food, chilling at houses to build trust for game time. With spring camp rolling on,

Joseph looks locked in and bought into Grimes vision, setting the stage for a fresh offensive

attack come fall.
