Colts Target Cameron Jordan, Veteran Linebackers

0:00On March 27th, the Indianapolis Colt have been busy in free agency, landing nine outside players and resigning some of their own. Even so, key roster spots remain open, especially on defense. With plenty of salary cap room but limited draft picks, General Manager Chris Ballard still has options to strengthen the team. One smart target could be defensive end, Cameron Jordan. Now entering his 16th season, the long-time New Orleans star brings proven past rush skills. Last year alone, he notched 36 pressures and 10-secs, perfect for third down situations alongside Rookie Layatu, Latu. Meanwhile, the linebacker group lacks experience, leaving it shaky and full of unknowns. Adding veterans here would raise the unit's reliability and help young players develop. Reuniting with Bobby Oka-Rakey makes sense. He had two interceptions and four pass breakups last season, or bringing back Jermaine Pratt, who tallied one, 101 tackles, one pick, and three pass breakups while stabilizing the
