Yes, it was disappointing at the end. I suppose look at the Maccabee. They are a very good team.
They went down, obviously, and won the county afterwards. On the day we were short to or to treat you to injuries.
But again, you would have to say that the Maccabee was just possibly the better team on the day.
I think it was Ian Jennings, what it's called for, two pointers in the second half, which was definitely a big tournament point and a big difference in the game.
But yeah, we were really disappointed. The lads put in a very strong year, trained well, had some very good games.
You might remember back to the semi-final. We came back against Taimakarig, went extra time and won that game in the end.
So yeah, it was in one way great to get to a final, but yeah, you'd like to be finished in a row, and I hope you didn't as well by winning this.
But look, unfortunately, threatened to be on the day. So yeah, we look forward to 2026 again.
I suppose the one thing that I really noticed as a person who drives through the village quite often, maybe sometimes twice a day, the way the whole community bought into e-being involved in the final, the place was festooned in flags.
Yeah, I suppose. Yeah, there was once we got into the final, there was just a general feeling.
There are how to get into and everyone said to win them as we found out.
Yeah, we decided we'd celebrate the occasion and in fairness, everyone bought interest and the flags and the Buntons win top.
And it was great, especially for the youngsters to get involved in this as well, you know, by having the same areas, all of the two villages.
Let's turn our thoughts to 2026 here in the Carvey division.
The Band and Co-op Carvey January Football Championship, 12 teams involved. The jaws have just been made.
In group 1, it's St Mary's, Argonine Rangers, Castle Haven, and Newscestown in group 2.
It's Kilbritten Carvey Rangers, Kilmean, and Rand Logs in group 3. It's Tyge McCarty's, Diermaid Amahona, St. Oliver Plunkins and St. James's.
And finally in group 4, it's Barry Rowle, Goline, Bannescarty, and St. Columns Markier, John in a group involving Argonine Rangers.
Castle Haven, and Newscestown, nothing easy there.
No, Dr. Talmoitler, he's posting any of the four groups first in our own group.
Obviously, very strong teams involved in this. Argonine Rangers have proven their off the last couple years.
How strong they are. Castle Haven, he calls it out saying, even though it's their second team, but yes, they will have a very good side out.
As producers on a second team, both, again, both us teams have seen a football team.
So yes, they will have strength in depth as well for the Junior Championship.
As all the groups, as I said, there's some very strong teams there that will all fancy their chances of bringing home to make McCarty Cop in 2026.
But I presume that I know the Lads are back training now with probably a month or six weeks.
They'd be hoping that they can put the disappointment of Laster behind them and maybe build on the fact that they got to the final Laster.
Yeah, definitely at the start of the year, as you said, as you said, they're back training.
At the start of the year, they would have possibly laid out their goals and their aims for the year.
Definitely, yes, the Junior Football Championship is one of the day.
They would be gone after in a big way this year, after the disappointment of Laster.
And again, of a couple of years back, we were beaten in a final as well.
So yeah, it's their training has commenced.
They have a big number of training and very committed to it this year.
Yeah, again, as a couple of tough games, they're under group stages.
But look, hopefully take a game by game and it will work out for us, you know.
