We had indeed, it was great to win the June 8th, the 4th and 9th again last year.
Unlocking the previous two years and two-minute last year was a great achievement for the boys.
They were deserved it.
Yeah, he would have been probably one of the favorites last year having been successful in previous years.
But being favorites is one thing, but to lift the cup at the end of the day was another thing.
It was, and it was great achievement for that group of players who have done so well in previous championships.
Unlocking the previous two years, I mean, to lose in the replay against Mahunas was so disappointing for them.
And they were not going to repeat that again in 2025.
So the determination was there right on the start and they achieved that.
Their plan was to do well in the county series, but unfortunately, they met with the eventual winners in the first round.
Great game, but beaten by the better team on the day.
Yeah, I like to be fair.
I just say, Kyl Channing, where one of those teams, that's probably one of those generational teams that probably no one was going to beat them.
And that's what happened at the end of the day.
True, because we had met them also four years ago at semi-finalist stage.
And they, to the narrow defeat then, they were beaten themselves in the final, which went to a replay against Aaron's home.
They were a very good team and have been in the past few years, achieving well.
And they got their rewards this last year in 2025, winning the county final.
In 2006 now, the Carbrier draws have just been made here in Dunman, where the RCM town of Calum,
Carbrier, January, Harling Championship, three groups in group one.
It's Kilbrie, Newstown, San Mary's and San James's.
Group two is Dihamadamahona's, Randlogues, Clannicilti and Banden.
Group three is the reigning champions, Balinese Guarti, Donnis, San Colombs and Kilbritten.
Orsala, you're in a tough group.
And we're playing Kilbritten again as we did last year.
They are formidable opponents always.
Donnis is very strong.
We played them in the league last year.
Actually, second team and we found them very formidable opponents.
Colombs are always strong.
And, finally, you know, we're meeting them as well in football championship.
We're in the same group, very strong group.
All teams, very strong.
When you look at all the groups, which group is the easier group, there's no easy group.
And of course, when you are the reigning champions, everyone wants to knock you down a peg or two.
And that's the hardest route to go along.
When you are the reigning champions, there's a lot of expectation with you.
And you as a group want to go step further again.
You want to win the Westcork and it's very hard to move.
We have found ourselves to go that next level up again to win the county.
It's so hard to do so.
But that's their aim.
And that's the dream they would like to achieve if at all possible in 2026.
And that's what we will aim for.
And of course, I know you're back training now with the last month or six weeks.
Just one change to the management team for 2026.
Jason Flynn is back again as the manager and he brought in an additional selector Derek,
who's originally from Russell Rovers.
So it's new face, new voice.
