You know, we're disappointed, you're always disappointed to lose and that's, you know, we're not different today.
You know, I tell you we played very well at times and other times didn't meet show their class, they're a good team.
Probably midway through the second half, we lost our way as small, but they had their proper patched in.
And probably, look, we just couldn't, we couldn't clap back in the end, we were very close.
We were trying to set up a two-pointer, you know, or even one-pointers.
But we just didn't get the break and, you know, me just maybe more slightly, more composed there, particularly in the middle of the second half and just a look at it over the line.
Yeah, that 15-minute period there in the second half when you were out scored 8-0, that was costly.
It was, yeah, but in this game now, you're going to have swings and roundabouts.
You know, we had a couple of good chances, the first half and, you know, if we had even got one of those goals,
it might have given us a bigger cushion, but when you're in top, you have to take, you know, take your chances.
And that's what made it midway through the second half.
But look, overall, you know, the lads died with their boots on.
You know, we, you know, they fought and fought.
Didn't think we got a whole lot of breaks from the referee on the day.
There were times there, you know, when we were going through, we seemed to be forward.
And we didn't seem to get them.
And then in the other side, they seemed to get easier freeze than we did.
But look, you know, that's, that's, that's the way it goes.
And we just brought ourselves down.
I'll take the learnings on the league and quick turnaround two weeks time against them, like in the championship.
I don't know what you were thinking at halftime.
You were on two ahead, had missed a couple of goals.
And the kickouts were a massive problem.
Yeah, well, at the beginning, they were.
And, you know, I felt in coming in the last quarter.
We got to grips with the, with the kickouts, but that's the way the games were going.
Even me at times, we upset their kickouts as well, you know.
So, but midway through the second half, then it cropped up again that they began to win ball around the middle of the field.
And, and that's when they got their scores.
So it's, yeah, it's, it's, it's, it's a game who contaminated the kickouts and probably at the vital periods.
They immediately that and, you know, maybe that's why they picked us.
As you say, the lads died with their boots on like when, when Brian got the goal near the end, they are certainly there was a lifeline.
Yeah, absolutely.
Look, we know they are in this game that, you know, goal, couple of two pointers can you bring a, you know, I never felt we were completely out of it.
I knew we'd come again.
And, you know, that's, that's, that's what we did.
And as I said, look, we were sizing up to try and take a two pointer in the last minute.
And we were coming out of defense and we got a free and next thing, then we were, I was pulled on and I taught the new rules at the 50 meters, but we didn't get it.
And, you know, so we were, we were very, very close and another day we might have leaked out a draw and be playing extra time.
But look, again, I even all complaints, you know, the way the lads fought played excellent football at times and just felt a bit chartered there.
And obviously you are and the lads are incredibly disappointed.
They have a lot to be proud of, like they're in division one in 2027 and facing into the monster championship in a couple of weeks time against Limrick, probably in a lot better position than they were 12 months ago.
Yeah, you look absolutely when we look at the league overall, it has been, it has been, you know, very productive.
We knew it was, you know, a difficult design and this was near meets home venue for their league matches coming up here today.
And we just felt a bit chart and look how we can do is take the learnings from it. We'd have loved to win here today.
We didn't, but I felt the effort, that's how we could have asked for us 100% and we got that today.
