Cowboys Draft Picks, Kicker Extension, Giants Defense Boost

On May 1st, Cowboys made ways in the draft, with eyes on some key prospects early on day 2.

They pushed hard for fourth round offensive tackle Drew Shelton, with coaches raving.

He's one of the rare athletes who can lock down tackle in the lead.

They also liked wide receiver Jordan Tyson, who went 8th to the Saints, and that buzz might have nudged George Pickens to ink his franchise tag.

No truth to rumors they eyed defensive end Keldrick Falk at 23rd overall, and when they traded the 20th pick to the Eagles for Whiteout,

McCuy Limon, the Steelers never called. They planned to grab him at 21 anyway.

Kicker Brandon Aubrey locked in a big 4-year $28 million extension, packing 20 million guaranteed, including a fat 8.2, 5 million signing bonus.

His base salaries for 2026 and 2027 are fully guaranteed, with more vesting later if he sticks around.

Shifting to the Giants, they're bulking up the defensive tackle spot after grabbing Bobby Jamison, Travis in the sixth round, a guy they graded way, higher and were shocked last of that long.

Coach praised his fundamentals, saying he plays square, sheds blocks like a pro.

They already signed vet Shelby Harris from the Browns and GM. Joe Schoen says, talks with other free agent detacles are ongoing, so expect more moves.
