Cowboys-Eagles Trade: Regret or Win?

On April 24th, Round 1 of the 2026 NFL Draft dropped some wild picks and were sizing up

true or false on a few big ones, starting with whether the Cowboys were regret trading spots with

the Eagles. Dallas slid from No. 20 to No. 23, grabbing two fourth rounders while Philly jumped

up for wire receiver McCoy Lemon, ESPN's No. 10. Overall prospect and a perfect replacement for

AJ Brown if he gets dealt. Earlier this week, the New York Giants and Jets cleaned up with five

first round selections, adding immediate starters like Texas Tech Edge R Usher. David Bailey,

for the Jets' pass rush and Lyman Francis Mauigua, to protect the Giants' rookie quarterback.

That's straight true. They both look like winners right out the game. Meanwhile, Arizona Cardinals

grabbing running back Jeremiah Love at No. 3. Nah, that's false. He's a top prospect,

but with shaky quarterbacks like Jacobi Berset and Gardner Menshu, plus a weak line,

he might not shine like past busts such, as Marvin Harrison Jr. for them. Over in LA,

the end is in near for Ram's quarterback, Matthew Stafford at age 38. Their GM says progress

on an extension, no drama expected, and even with a new first round pick, Stafford stays starter

as long as he's elite. Think. Aaron Rogers sitting years behind Farve. That Cowboys Eagles deal

could sting Dallas long term, especially needing a quarterback on day two, while Philly boosted
