The Dallas Cowboys need help at linebacker and have shown interest in trading for Pittsburgh

Steelers standout, Patrick Queen.

At 26 years old he brings solid experience, but some around the league question if he's

the right fix for Dallas's then group.

Scouts recently pointed out that Queen's play dropped off last season.

His team ranked 26th in the yards allowed and he missed the pro bowl after making it

the two prior years.

Insider Adam Schefter described the trade talk as unusual.

He noted the Steelers insist they want to keep Queen, and any snag might come down to contract

money or a requested pay cut.

The Cowboys let three linebackers hit free agency with our replacement so far.

Options like Bobby Wagner and Lavante David are in their mid-30s, while Dre Greenlaw is

still recovering from an Achilles tear.

Queen's current deal carries a $17.2 million cap hit and expires soon.
