The Dallas Cowboys entered the offseason with a glaring need at inside linebacker after

missing out on top free agents.

Heading into 2026, that spot remains a major weakness on defense, forcing the team to

get creative beyond just the draft.

Reports indicate the Cowboys for an office is still hunting for veteran help through trades.

After eyeing a couple of solid options currently on other rosters, both in the final year of

their deals.

Jordan Brooks, a 28 year old with the Miami Doffins, stands out after earning a strong grade

last season.

Trading him post June 1st, could save Miami more than $8 million, making him an affordable

upgrade for Dallas.

Meanwhile, Aziz Alshayir has been a standout for the Houston Texans over the past five years.

At 28, he's thriving, but Houston's contract commitments might open the door if his next

deal gets too pricey.

These moves could bring instant stability without breaking the bank, maybe just a top 100

draft pick.

Even as long shots, they give the Cowboys flexibility heading into and beyond the draft.
