Cowboys' Schottenheimer Dives Deep in Pro Day Scouting

On March 26th, the Dallas Cowboys are deep into the college pro-day circuit, as NFL teams

scout prospects for the 2026 draft.

Head coach Brian Shottenheimer led the staff at the University of Texas in Austin, on

Tuesday, right after stopping at the University of Miami on Monday.

With two first round picks on the horizon, the Cowboys are ramping up their evaluations

to nail those high selections.

Shottenheimer is more hands-on this year, diving into full-game film on every position after

relying on highlights last time.

He praised the team's free-agency moves, like resigning key offensive players such as

George and Javante and adding talents including Rashan Garry, Jalen Thompson, and Kobe Durant.

Those steps have them set up to pick the best player available without forcing needs.

The coach stressed getting to know prospects personally during these visits, through early

dinners and watching how they compete and follow.
