Cowboys Sign 3 Veterans for Roster Boost

On April 27, Dallas Cowboys wasted no time after the 2026 NFL draft, scooping up three

veteran-free agents on one-year deals to beef up their roster.

Leading the pack is wide receiver Marquez Valdez Scanling, a 31-year-old journeyman,

along with Tyler Johnson at Whiteout and Linebacker, Curtis Robinson.

Valdez Scanling brings serious mileage, starting as a fifth-round pick with the Green Bay

Packers back in 2018.

He played 59 games there, 39 starts, then bounced to the Kansas City Chiefs in 2022, and

last year suited up for the sand.

Doos got two Super Bowl rings and slots and perfect behind CD-LAM, George Pickens, and

Ryan Flernoy.

Meanwhile, Tyler Johnson, another fifth-round guy with his own Super Bowl hardware, comes

over from the New York Jets to battle for receiver spots.

On defense, Curtis Robinson, an undrafted free agent out of Stanford, links back up with

Cowboys' defensive coordinator Christian Parker, who first spotted him with the Denver Broncos.

Robinson spent most of his time with the 49ers, reuniting there with new Cowboy D-Winters.

These moves are part of the Cowboys' plan to add 10-12 players total, filling out their

90-man roster for the voluntary offseason.
