Cowboys Sign Vet DL Jonathan Bullard

On March 28, Dallas Cowboys just dropped a surprise move, signing veteran defensive

lineman Jonathan Bullard to bolster their line.

Heading into his 11th season, this guy is a perfect fit as a 3-4 defensive end in their

new scheme under coordinator Christian Parker.

Bullard comes over from the Saints, but he's bounced around the NFC with stops at the

Vikings, Falcons, Seahawks, and Cardinals.

Drafted in the third round by the Bears back in 2016, he's been versatile across 3-4

3 setups, starting 44, games over the last 4 years alone.

That early stint in Chicago?

It was under Vic Fangio as defensive coordinator, and since Parker draws heavy influence from

Fangio's tree, Bullard could slide right into the system without missing a beat.

This feels like a straight swap for Solomon Thomas, who the Cowboys shipped to the Titans

for 7th round pick earlier this month, linking him back up with his old coaches there.

Their death play for Dallas as they tweaked the defense, keeps the vets flowing in free

agency.
