Right now, FANDUEL is giving you a way to turn that energy into an even bigger potential
1:22
win with a college basketball parlay profit boost to head to FANDUEL.com to get started.
1:29
We're going to be discussing two things today, specifically quarterback recruiting a little
1:33
bit later on in the show.
1:35
And in particular, my opinion on the entirety of the champ moms recruitment.
1:40
And we're also going to talk about a variety of players that either saw this weekend or
1:44
got some intel on this weekend at the seven's tournament in Atlanta.
1:48
And with that, I start with the following, and I've talked about him before, and I'm going
1:51
to talk about him about a thousand more times between now and national sunny day.
1:55
That is Jamaran Simmons, wide receiver, God be high school in Tallahassee, Florida.
2:00
I get the opportunity to work with him.
2:01
I saw my shirt on and even got my wristband here on YouTube.
2:06
From the seven's tournament in Atlanta, Jamaran is him, if you will.
2:10
We have six minutes from Florida State's campus.
2:13
Florida State is in a battle, and I asked Jamaran Saturday, hey, anything new with the recruitment
2:21
And to be honest with you, it was pretty interesting to talk to him because I don't remember him
2:26
bringing up Georgia before Tennessee's involved, et cetera.
2:29
Some of these other schools are starting to try to get their visits lined up.
2:33
He's got Clemson the last weekend in May, Florida State, the very first weekend in June
2:37
for official visits.
2:39
But this looks like this could be a four or five, six visit kind of deal.
2:42
So Florida State is definitely in the mix, but it's going to be a long, drawn out recruitment
2:49
and the way he's playing.
2:51
He gets to set the tone of who, when, where, why, and how.
2:54
He is absolutely unequivocally elite.
2:57
I think he's a national top 50 player, possibly top 25.
3:01
He dominates just about in every way possible and to give you an example of what I mean.
3:06
He's a wide receiver and he scored several touchdowns.
3:09
We have a really good offense, Teddy Jargs or quarterback, Keon standing for somebody else.
3:13
I'll talk about a second one of our other receivers who's also going to visit Florida State.
3:17
We've got guys all over the place on offense, but we got into a battle day two and defense
3:25
They threw Jamaran into the mix and it went into OT.
3:29
You get one play, the score that it goes back and forth.
3:32
Jamaran ended the game with a pick.
3:36
He was just put in there and he made a play and he just keeps doing it.
3:40
He scores the touchdowns that get us ahead.
3:42
He scores the interception to close out games.
3:47
Florida State, like every other school once players like this and his offer list is grotesque.
3:54
You can't lose kids in your backyard, like Jamaran Simmons.
3:58
I've said that before and as I noted a minute ago about talking about him between now and
4:02
sunny day a thousand times, I'm going to say that a thousand times.
4:06
I don't know where he's going.
4:07
I don't think Jamaran knows where he's going, but he is literally from his own lips to my
4:13
ears, six minutes from Florida State's campus.
4:18
That's how far he lives away.
4:19
Again, Jamaran Simmons lives six minutes from FSU.
4:26
If he doesn't go to FSU, his other schools, it would be pretty hard pill to swallow.
4:31
Miami, Clemson, Georgia, possibly Florida or Tennessee, like it's all the schools
4:38
FSU either is arrival with, recruits directly with in the league with, et cetera, like it's
4:46
So this recruitment to me will tell the tale in a lot of ways between now and the end
4:52
How much faith he has in FSU or not, what his relationships are and all that, those will
4:58
be exposed one way or the other.
5:00
Right now, Florida State is doing a good job with him and there's a long way to go.
5:05
But again, as I noted, Georgia being in the mix, some of these other schools with these
5:09
OBS, it tells me that, you know, why he would like to get it done this summer.
5:14
He's taking his time.
5:15
He knows he's a wheat.
5:17
He's earned the right to think that way to be quite frank.
5:21
Florida State is going to have to be insanely patient as well all the other schools and that
5:25
could actually end up helping Florida State because they're going to recruit him until
5:29
he signs, regardless, again, because he's right down the street.
5:32
But will Georgia, I don't know, Kirby may or may not, Kirby is really a wolf with recruiting.
5:38
He's hard to predict.
5:40
But as it relates to the other schools in the mix, like Miami, I mean, Mario is pretty
5:46
He's going to recruit all the way through.
5:48
I would be surprised if Florida is not in that same boat.
5:51
I mean, there are only two hours away, two and a half hours away from Tauhassy.
5:55
They will definitely be in the mix.
5:57
And then finally, there's always a wildcard, somebody that is in the mix yet might, could
6:01
be an organ or an LSU or something, you never know.
6:04
But he is the kid that is absolutely him.
6:08
I don't care if they recruit him a free safety.
6:10
I don't care if they're recruiting a corner, nickel, and a special way receiver.
6:14
Jamaran Simmons is absolutely any wheat player.
6:17
Now on down the list, and I want to mention Keon Stannifer because he's buddies with
6:21
He plays with us at Coastline Stars.
6:25
Those of you who don't know, Keon is a pure swat.
6:28
He was at Athens Academy right there at the next University of Georgia, basically.
6:32
But I forget the school.
6:33
I think he's transferring to Covington, but it's one of the other schools in the greater
6:41
He made some incredible plays.
6:44
I got to go through my film over the next couple of days and I'll put up some shorts.
6:48
But he had one where God was like seemingly right in his face when he turned around to
6:53
Now I got to do it seven on seven to touch the guy and he's down.
6:58
He made the guy grasp an air and they were practically face to face.
7:03
His side to side, lateral movement skills are bananas.
7:08
He said, I can't remember the date Brian, but I'm visiting Florida State the same weekend
7:15
Well, that knows it out because Jamaran's visiting Florida State the first weekend in
7:19
So this is a kid that Florida State is doing a pretty good job with Tennessee and several
7:23
other schools are involved.
7:24
Georgia Tech is going to get an OB.
7:27
We'll see where he ends up, but that's a really good football player.
7:31
Well about another kid, Balladade, another kid that is on coastline.
7:35
He recently got a Florida State visit or excuse me, offer.
7:39
He's thinking about a visit and he probably will take it OB to FSU.
7:42
He's originally from Canada.
7:46
He ran 10, 8, 10, 9 last year.
7:47
In the first year he did it.
7:49
He could take it serious.
7:50
He said no idea what he's doing.
7:51
He didn't even go to track practice every day.
7:54
He told me his goal was to at least get a 10-5 this year.
7:58
He's going to take track more serious and he's a kid that is jacked up.
8:02
He's six foot, 185 pounds.
8:04
I'd guess something like that.
8:06
He's built like a boxer really put together kind of his build the way he's growing.
8:11
He could end up being a safety, but the way he runs, he can play corner.
8:16
We've got a lot to learn, but he's very talented.
8:19
He lives in Knoxville, Tennessee now.
8:21
He goes to Catholic College, one of the better programs in the state of Tennessee.
8:25
Kentucky, four to four to state, several other schools are involved.
8:29
Indiana's definitely highly involved with him.
8:33
He could go to a lot of different places, but the four to state offer was one.
8:36
He was pretty excited about anyone sitting down to FSU.
8:41
I know Julius pretty well.
8:42
I spoke with him a little bit yesterday and today, as I do this on a Sunday night.
8:48
Right now, the three schools standing out with him are my aunt, no particular order here.
8:52
Miami, Oregon and Notre Dame, his dad, of course, is Julius Jones Sr., played at Notre
8:56
Dame, then with the Cowboys, the Seahawks, and I believe he finished with the Saint.
9:02
Sr. was a running back.
9:03
Jr. is definitely a wide receiver.
9:05
He's just absolutely electric.
9:08
I don't know where he's going, four to state, he'll probably get an OB, but right now
9:11
they're not in the very top group.
9:13
Nick Weneer, that's a kid, four to state, still trying to get another wide receiver from
9:19
I forget which school he's at now, but I think he was at Northwestern, but he's transferred
9:23
if I remember right.
9:25
Bottom line, Nick Weneedon, which high school is at.
9:27
He is shot out of a cannon and saw him play a little bit, really, really athletic kid
9:33
and just, he makes good plays when he has the opportunity to make him.
9:36
He plays with C1N, or at least he did this weekend, and they won the tournament by the
9:40
way at sevens, and he was a part of it, but they've got other guys that are really good
9:44
too, and they throw it around to different players.
9:46
It's pretty balanced, so.
9:48
But Nick, probably end of visiting four to state is my thinking, but right now, SC and
9:52
Miami, I think are the two to watch.
9:54
I just want to mention this kid, because I'm going to go into quarterback recruiting in
9:58
just a second here, and it could end up helping four to state.
10:03
They're not involved, but Peter Bork, kid from the Northeast, just shows you how much
10:07
recruiting has changed, is looking at Penn State, Virginia Tech, those aren't surprising,
10:15
We come back and want to go over quarterback recruiting.
10:18
If he ends up in Georgia, that's just one less school, four to state is probably going
10:21
to have to end up competing with, and that's an important factor.
10:24
When we come back, we'll talk a little bit more about the broad spectrum of quarterback
10:28
recruiting with the nose.
10:32
Today's show was brought to you by our friends at Fandall, college basketball is non-stop
10:36

10:42
night, West Coast shootouts, there's always action on the board.
10:46
And now, Fandall is giving you a way to turn that energy into even bigger potential, wins
10:51
with a college basketball, parlay profit boost.
10:55
You can build anything that you want, really college hoops, parlay, the way you want it,
10:59
whether it's a rivalry game, whether it's a back-to-back game, maybe it's biggies, maybe
11:03
it's ACC, whatever you want.
11:05
Back to matchups or teams that are down at the bottom, again, the parlay that is totally
11:09
up to you, go safe, go bold, ride with the team, you've been following all season, it is
11:14

12:35

12:40
All right, the quarterback battle for in recruiting is almost impossible to fall, even though
12:48
I like interview these kids face to face now with NIL and everything 100% full on disclosure
12:56
out of talk with multiple recruiting and else about that this weekend.
13:01
It changes out on a whim.
13:03
This is the one position in particular that I have very, and I mean it is very little interest
13:10
in saying who leads who doesn't because the NIL swings are massive.
13:15
So with that in mind, this is just my take on the intel that I have either gotten directly
13:19
from recruits or other people at the event at sevens, et cetera.
13:24
Take it for what it's worth and it is only good right now with with quarterback recruiting
13:32
it is volatile at the very least.
13:36
So just wanted to make that very clear because I know the people said, well, you said this
13:40
and this quarterback recruiting is a different animal.
13:44
So Andre Adams is going to visit for the state that's been confirmed by multiple people.
13:49
I believe I saw it either on Warchan or Rolls-24, I can't remember where, but it had been
13:54
kicked around a couple of different played, maybe both.
13:58
That's a kid that somebody I've talked about on this show, he's from Antioch, Tennessee,
14:03
his touchdown interception ratio shows maturity 35 to one.
14:07
I don't care where you play, that's what you're looking for and he's a guy that is very, very
14:14
I've seen him play live, but he was at the Under Armour All-American game.
14:18
I don't think he's a guy that is fully ready prospect yet, he's still building as you
14:25
He's got another year of high school when he's done growing and filling out, he'll be well
14:28
over 200 pounds, but he's nimble, but he moves mostly to throw for the state visit again
14:37
That'll probably tell you the tale of where for the state's at.
14:41
I don't know if it's going to matter or not, we'll see, but you want to get as many
14:45
good players like this on campus as possible, somebody norvels men involved with.
14:49
Israel Abrams, this is the one that, you could argue, he's the most volatile person for
14:56
the entire industry right now.
14:58
He's from Montini Catholic on the North Side of Chicago, I can't remember if it's North
15:03
He's from Chicago and he plays at a good program and he's another kid that's mobile, he likes
15:08
to run a little bit more.
15:10
I would say than Adams, but it's debatable and like him, he still runs more to extend
15:16
the play than he does to take off and try to be some kind of wizard or Houdini in space
15:22
and risking his body.
15:24
He's going to extend the play and more often than not keep his eyes down the field and
15:28
try to make a pass.
15:31
Really awesome when it comes to making that crazy side arm throw or throwing around a guy,
15:37
he's got some unique highlight plays.
15:39
Having stated that, Israel Abrams most think he's going to end up at all.
15:45
But note, just a minute ago, I said something on purpose within IEL, and everything that's
15:49
going on, I don't put any stock in leans right now.
15:53
Show me the sign paperwork, that's obviously in December.
15:56
All I can do is cover it right now, but something tells me this is not going to end in a
16:03
A lot of schools have gotten involved and his list is odd.
16:07
Miami is involved for the state is involved.
16:10
They've got multiple visits allegedly, supposedly coming up, Auburn is involved, Kentucky's
16:16
involved, Purdue is involved, like it's just random.
16:21
And with this talented as he is and he's a kid that needs to go out his frame, he's
16:26
a little bit thinner in my opinion, just by looking at him, I haven't seen him live
16:30
like I have Andre Adams, but he's 180 something at 6'4, 6'3 and a half.
16:37
He needs probably a year to get up over 200 pounds, but I love the ability to throw the
16:42
football the way he does, and again, from all kinds of angles, that's a good player.
16:47
The other kid they offered recently, another Chicago area kid, and I like his film a lot,
16:52
He's a kid that's probably a little bit more pocket than even what Israel is, but man,
16:58
I believe it's 41-2 on his touchdown to interception ratio off the top of my head, watched his
17:05
film the other day and did a, he was part of my podcast for the photo podcast, a new
17:09
live show that I do, and he's just electric.
17:13
Fort estate just got involved, and he's got a ton of offers from the Midwest and whatnot,
17:18
but this is another Chicago kid.
17:20
Maybe Fort State is trying to make amends in the Midwest.
17:24
I really don't know for what reason, but that would be pretty interesting.
17:28
Last player that I want to mention is Champ Mons, and this is one of the stronger takes
17:33
There are a lot of different Fort State people, whether it's Fort Chan, et cetera, have
17:38
their different opinions on where he's going to go.
17:39
I've been around him a number of times.
17:42
I doubt he really knows where he's going.
17:45
The school that I wonder about the most because early on, I was told it was not just like
17:52
they're like, well, Ohio State was going to go all in on Champ Mons, but then he reclined.
17:57
I don't know what the situation is there.
18:00
We'll see, but I wouldn't be surprised at anywhere he went.
18:06
He said, Viral Beach High School, they were in the state finals this last year.
18:11
Fort off, Fort estate, and Miami are involved.
18:14
Notre Dame and Ohio State are involved, and there are other schools out of state as well.
18:20
A lot of people think it's Notre Dame or Fort estate, for rumors like he was in Fort
18:25
for a state found never asked him.
18:28
But I would be very wary of weaning any direction with him because he's getting pulled everywhere.
18:33
For those that don't know, Champ, when he was 15 years old, looked like he was from the
18:38
neck down, like he was 24, in like any lead athlete, 24, like he's put together.
18:46
His legs are more like an age backs than they are a court like he is put together, and
18:53
there's just no other way.
18:54
You got to see it to understand, you're like holy cow, but he reclastic, he's going to
18:59
I should be 28, so he should be going into his junior, but he's reclassing, so he's
19:03
going to be a senior, but he's so physically developed, I get it.
19:08
I'm not sure if it's Ohio State, if it's Fort estate or wherever, but Fort estate is
19:14
He's going to be on campus and my strong take here again is this, pump the brakes on any
19:19
Like Fort estate or Ohio State, on any school, it's just getting started with him because
19:23
some people are still adjusting the champ being in the class of 27.
19:29
Some people are going to look at him, and eventually, even after seeing the film, like
19:34
I've, again, I've had the pleasure of seeing why I'm in on film.
19:37
It's pretty obvious.
19:38
It's in a wheat player.
19:40
I bet there's going to be some more big offers coming.
19:43
Remember, the May evaluation period is still coming up.
19:46
Let's see what other schools get involved in trying to get an OB.
19:49
Fort estate will get one of his OB, I'll be shocked if they don't, but this recruitment
19:53
is about to be wild.
19:54
You combine that with Israel Abrams, Andre Adams, just those alone, push, you got Jake.
20:00
They just offered the other kid from Chicago, Fort estate quarterback recruiting.
20:04
They're right in the middle of the storm.
20:07
It's going to be really fun.
20:08
We're going to talk a lot about it right here on Lockdown Seminole's, and with that,
20:13
Thank you very much for checking out Lockdown Seminole's.
20:15
We will be back again tomorrow on Tuesday.
20:18
I will have some more comments about recruiting for sure, and then we'll start doing some position
20:23
stuff and talking about my expectations.
20:25
I have some predictions that I want to share.
20:27
We'll do it at least one, and if not two mailbox this week, because I'm going to ask some
20:33
questions about what your expectations are for spring, what your position battle expectations
20:39
are, which players you want to see, a lot of different things coming up.
20:42
So we'll have some fun with that.
20:44
Everybody have a good one.
20:45
We've been locked on Seminole's.
