CTP (S3E142) Truckers, Testing, And Common Sense Exploring more of the fascinating intersection of Activism, Community Engagement, Faith / Religion, Human Nature, Politics, Social Issues, and beyond We dig into a report of 11,500 commercial licenses revoked and make the case that professional driving demands mastery of road rules and clear reading of signs, not just good intentions. Tourist-friendly signs help visitors, but daily freight work needs verified comprehension and honest testing. • why a clever safety ad led into a hard news topic • how tourist driving differs from professional driving • why language comprehension affects split‑second road choices • what license revocations suggest about testing integrity • where training schools and regulators must raise the bar • the case for firm standards with fair preparation • why safety and workforce diversity can both be protected https://tinyurl.com/SubscribeToCTP CTP Audios: https://tinyurl.com/CTPonBuzzsprout CTP Videos: https://tinyurl.com/JLDonBITCHUTE https://tinyurl.com/CTPgear
Hello, welcome to another episode of First Tutorials Podcast. I am your host Joseph M. Blender.
That's L-E-N-A-R-D. It looks French, it's not, it's London without an O.
Thank you for tuning in. As Graham Norton used to say, on his show, let's get out of the show!
A sheet segment. I am recording this as a lead-in to a standard Saturday show that is going to now air
through the audio platforms, 25 plus, of Christitution with Podcast.
What was formerly a CTP video exclusive that I feel needs to go out as a regular show.
So bear that in mind when you recorded it was a video exclusive.
It could be from a month ago, it could be from a couple months ago.
So bear that in mind when you hear things regarding time frames, it may be from a while ago.
So particular references may be a little dated.
And this segment of cheek, right? I am recording it. I'll be using it with several video exclusives turned Saturday episodes.
Without further ado, let's get out of the show!
Hello, this will be pretty quick. Something popped up on the news I wanted to address today is a video exclusive.
But first, I saw just so I, before I turned off the TV, the burner added.
And you know where she's walking around with the banana. I'd normally be afraid, but I've got my banana!
At burner, we don't sell bananas. Imagine if this banana could stop an attacker from 50 yards.
Brilliant marketing, great marketing, great product, a weapon, a non-lethal weapon, legal in all 50 states for carrying.
It's not an actual firearm.
And anyway, what did I see on the news? Sean Duffy, Department of Transportation, talking about having pulled the licenses of 11,500 people so far in the United States who can't pass the driving test properly.
And clearly I'm been given out the licenses as if they're a crackling jackpies.
It's bad enough, and we allow, as a U.S. driver, my license I could go to the UK or France or Italy or Germany or even Russia and China and the honor my license because as a tourist,
as someone just on the road there a short time, international training. Most of our signs are international signage, international symbols.
Symbolism of do not enter. So someone doesn't go down a street the wrong way.
You signs that trying your shape and red and white color stop signs act act act act act act act.
Octagons, octagonal, whatever, you know, I ain't cited red and white stop signs, whether the word stop in English or any other languages there.
there, you know that's a stop sign. Traffic like red, yellow and green,
conformity, a regular visitor tourist, temporarily driving a rental card car
in a nation where they don't speak green and right fluently. That
language is acceptable. It's generally safe, but it to hold
different thing to allow people behind the wheel of massive, heavy,
steel missiles on the road. All the time as a job they're on the road
all kinds of hours, all kinds of places. Dangerous can kill dozens of
people at once being unsafe on the roads. If you speak a language other than
English and reading and writing another language is your primary fluid
language, go somewhere where that language is the primary predominant
language and be a trucker. Not here. There's no racism in that.
There's no purposeful, willful, malicious discrimination. Yes,
there is discrimination in that you aren't as safe as someone who understands
the language and road signs. Again, a tourist me in Russia, I don't know
that. It's like their alphabet, their words, but of course,
again, modern GPS help a directional thing. I don't need to know
the exact road name. I need to know visually what that road name is.
I don't have to understand Russian to understand these letters of
Russian together mean Smith Street and Smith Street is where I'm going to
and the roadways from here to there to get to Smith Street.
As a tourist, it's okay. I'm not applying to be a trucker and
beyond the road all the time in Russia and nor should I be allowed.
It isn't racism. It isn't origin of country discrimination
necessarily specifically in that case keeping me from getting a trucker's
license in Russia. It's and I apologize, but I'm going to swear here
for emphasis. So cover the kitchen. It's fucking common sense.
You retarded morons. The common sense is like it.
Oh my god, you're discriminating. Oh my god, it's racist. No.
It's common sense. You retarded moron to make sure people
if they're on the road all the time with a multi-ton of missile
hurling down the roads, they understand implicitly can pass the test
for the individual and specific national rules of our roads and can
read the signs in English whether it's their destination or not to know
where they are. The international symbology is great and wonderful,
but if you're on the roads all the time with multi-ton missiles
potentially to kill dozens of people as we've seen over and over on
the roads by people who did not understand the language didn't really pass
the test but were given a license anyway. 11,500 people have had
them re-bulked by the Department of Transportation and they
should be. They should have never been given licenses in the
first place. Okay, end of rank, I guess. Common sense.
You left cards have no common sense. This isn't racism or sexism
or anyism. It's common sense. Let them be a trucker somewhere
else where their language is relevant. No one is saying you can't be
a trucker. You just can't be a trucker here if you're not safe
enough and no enough about America and English are official
language per executive order. Congress needs to fall. I have a
video exclusive show on English as our official language. Please
tune in for that as it should be. Certain things qualify or
just qualify you for certain things. It has nothing to do with
you as a collective. Racism or sexism or both
homophobic. No, it has to do with you as an individual.
Your contentive character, your abilities or
what you can and can't do. Go somewhere else and be a
trucker. No one is demanding you can't be a trucker.
You just can't be a trucker here unless you're really fully
qualified. To be safe on our roads. Simple, common sense.
The left has none of that. Anyway, thank you all. Take care.
