0:00Welcome to the Daily Audio Proverb. I'm Brian Harden from Daily Audio Bible. It's great to be here with you today and welcome to five minutes of unfiltered wisdom being poured into our lives. Today's the fifth of the month, so we will read the fifth chapter of the Book of Proverbs from the contemporary English version. My son, if you listen closely to my wisdom and good sense, you will have sound judgment and you will always know the right thing to say. The words of an immoral woman may be as sweet as honey and as smooth as olive oil, but all that you really get from being with her is bitter poison and pain. If you follow her, she will lead you down to the world of the dead.

1:02She has missed the path that leads to life and doesn't even know it. My son, listen to me and do everything I say, stay away from a bad woman. Don't even go near the door of her house. You will lose your self-respect and end up in debt to some cruel person for the rest of your life. Strangers will get your money and everything else you have worked for. When it's all over, your body will waste away as you groan and shout. I hated advice and correction. I paid no attention to my teachers and now I am disgraced in front of everyone. It should be faithful to your wife, just as you take water from your own well and don't be like a stream from which just any woman may take a drink.

2:05Save yourself for your wife and don't have sex with other women. Be happy with the wife you married when you were young. She is beautiful and graceful, just like a deer. You should be attracted to her and stay deeply in love. Don't go crazy over a woman who is unfaithful to her own husband. The Lord sees everything and he watches us closely. Sinners are trapped and caught by their own evil deeds. They get lost and die because of their foolishness and lack of self-control. We thank you God for another day in the Book of Proverbs as it speaks so poignantly.

3:09Line after line sentence after sentence speaking what we know what bears witness in our own hearts as truth. And in one line you can say so much and do. We thank you for the opportunity to use the technology that we do to come around this global campfire each day and feast upon the riches of the wisdom of the ages. Things that have always been true, things that were true when they were written down and our every bit is true today. These thousands of years later for the heart of men remains constant and so come only spirit we invite you to deeply plant the wisdom spoken in the Proverbs into our hearts and lives daily and may they grow up to be rich crops of insight and understanding in
