playing siblings Nikki and Morgan who get blackmailed into organized crime.

The 42-year-old star and showrunner teamed up with Taylor Ortega and calls it a chaotic family

story he's pumped to share. Earlier this week at a March 30th event in Los Angeles,

Levy chatted with co-creator Rachel Senet about why he paused after Shits Creek.

Rapped in 2020, he said the pressure to jump right into the next thing felt wrong,

like rushing without letting the dust settle from that massive hit.

Fans love Shits Creek for its six seasons of heart and laughs, with Levy's David Rose becoming

iconic, ending it, hit him hard, and he didn't want a new project compared to that pride and joy

right away. Instead, he took time to breathe. Since then, Levy directed his first feature,

the 2024 drama, Good Grief, and now he's executive-producing Big Mistakes with Heavy Hitters,

like Laurie Metcalf as his on-screen mom. Meanwhile, Levy and Senet go way back from a quick

collab on 2023's The Idol, and he's already hyping Ortega as the next big name. Big Mistakes lands

in days, promising that signature Levy mix of mess and heart.
