You are listening to the Dunlapata show in partnership with the DraftKin Sports Act now live in all 50 states. Three things that are being said by an assortment of sports people. ESPN's Nick Saban has predicted that UM will win the national title. Field Yates says that if you based April's NFL draft off the first game of the season, Darian Mensa would be going number one overall. And Mark Mansk Maskey, formerly of the Washington Post, says that somewhat lost among all of the things happening with Lane Kiff and LSU and the SEC is that this has all been over an undrafted player who was waved by the Browns after being waved by the Eagles and an undrafted player who was waved by the Saints. We have a wheel here that has 11 topics on it. 11 topics. Here are the topics, David. And you tell me I cannot see the wheel from here. You tell me which of the topics it lands on. The topics are Canton and the Hall of Fame voters.
Zazlow's wife has mad at him. Baker Mayfield's contract extension. A Diana Roussini update. The Rams travel planned weirdness to Australia. The SMU football team winning kind of an unprecedented game. Chat GPT's prediction for the Super Bowl. Two was karaoke performance and the next 10 years of Jets football. Are you ready? Yeah. Spin it. What did it land on? David. Zazlow, why is your wife mad at you? All right. This is something that has bothered me forever or I just don't understand. So today we have our cleaning girl come into the house. All right. Woman cleaning woman. I don't like how you said that. What a bet. How do you want me to say it? Unless she's under 18, a woman. Okay. We have a. We have our. Oh boy. Or just a housekeeper. We have our we have our cleaning lady coming to the house today. Play on.
Okay. Great. And so my wife tells me make sure you clean up all around the sink. You put away all of your stuff because our cleaning lady is coming. Got a pre clean and I'll never understand. Why do I have to clean ahead of the cleaning lady coming to clean? Why do I have to prepare for this? All right. So inevitably, David, inevitably, I forget because I'm living my life. All right. I'm getting ready in the morning. I leave and I get the text from my wife and she's really mad at me. I told you cleaning lady's common. You were supposed to put this away, put this away, put this away and she's mad. And then I write back, it's not a big deal. You could just put it away yourself. And apparently that was the wrong answer. She's not your cleaning lady. Yeah. But it's not a lot of stuff. She could have just put it underneath the cabinet.
But like I said, apparently that was the wrong answer. And no one told me that. Dan, I'm so sorry. I didn't have my glasses. I read the wheel wrong. I can't believe it. Please, I mean, we can keep going with the clean lady. I can't see it in. I'm pretty clean too. I'm surprised no one corrected you. I do do. I know what they mean. I got to clean up the pubes before they do. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, there's a few man's capes. Like it's only right. You don't have them clean up that entire mess. Why am I cleaning for the cleaning lady? Because of the pubes. No, I have, I seldom agree with Zez. So I have to be on team Zez here because I actually intentionally mess up my house before the cleaning people come. You want to get your money's worth? Just to feel like I'm getting my money's worth. I think that's more, more normal, more natural. Do you want to put your glasses on and tell me what, because we got to get to this Cam Newton story. Cam Newton is feuding with Zez. But what did you get wrong there? So it was like the price is right wheel, where it was the click. And it clicked. I missed the click. It was a tweener.
Sorry, Zez. We actually have to talk about the Rams travel schedule to the Australia game. That's what was on the wheel. Okay. Yeah, we got to respect the wheel. So this is interesting for a number of different reasons. I don't know if you guys saw this, but the 49ers have lost a starting defensive tackle. Alfred Collins at practice yesterday in Australia for the year. Gone for the, gone for the year. Defensive tackle Alfred Collins, but the 49ers went out a week early. The Rams went last night. I don't think they're even there. Yeah, I think they're in the air. They went last night. It's obviously it's a long flight. And I would assume that there's going to be jet lag and leg-related issues. I would want my team to get out there early. If it's a 17 hour flight, but Samson, what are your thoughts on what it is that the Rams have chosen? These are very, look, these are two very good coaches. Very good planners, very good strategy people. They view this wildly differently. Where Kyle Shanahan is saying, I want my team out there for a week. And McVeigh is saying, nope, we're going basically as soon as we can fly closest to the game,
we're going to get there. And if there's a delay, we might not make the game. Like if there's any sort of issue, we're going to do it so tightly here that I don't care if my players are jet lag. And you saw the news that broke recently, Aaron Donald? Yeah, I won't do that. I mean, they took off what delays could be now. Yeah, they're not flying commercial. They're going to get their time. Understood, but they waited till late. They waited as bad as long as you could wait. Yeah, so the reason you do that is because there's actually no jet lag when you do what they're doing. That's the plan. Yeah, I think it's going to do that. They're staying on LA time. They're never trying to change time zones. And so they're making it so the players, they each get a plan when you fly with a team internationally. Here's when we want you to sleep. Here's when we want you to eat. And they're obviously on live flatbeds. It's 16 hour flight, 16 or 17 hour time difference. So think about it. You're getting there. Remember Morris who lost his birthday? You're missing a day. So you leave on a Monday. You get there on a Wednesday. They're getting back the day they played, right? They're getting back only like a day and a half after they leave.
It's awesome. It's, Danny, do you explain time travel to you? When you try to run seven in seven and seven, it's the same thing. You never get on a different time zone. You stay on your original time zone. And you do that because then your body is totally fine. The game is 1045 AM Australia time. What body gets used to that if you're a football player? You don't like 1045 AM as a football player starting the game. I think the Niners are going about it wrong. I think it really is going to be very telling with the Rams winning that game. Do you think teams are going to follow whoever wins this game? Well, this is super extreme. It's Australian. I'm just saying though, there probably will be more games like like once a year. I'm just wondering like next year whoever wins this game are the teams going to follow that team's strategy. Like one game sample size. It's more the science department and the doctors and the president and the GM. But Asia and Australia, when you're going to Europe, you don't do it like that. You don't need to do it like that because it's only five or six times. What's weird to me is that it seems like one team is going way early and one team is going way late.
How come nobody's going in between and getting there like three days or screwed if you do in between? You know, you go and get adjusted or you never get adjusted. See, I think the adjustment thing is a fallacy. I think jet lag is a fallacy. I think all the science over body rhythms and all that is just a bunch of malar. Put it on the pole at Levitard show is jet lag a fallacy and malar. Coming from the guy that recorded the Greg Cody show this past week right off his cruise and the whole episode was I'm tired. That's the drink packet was under I was under the weather. That's that you were doing one. I was I was tired and my legs weren't under me. You're only doing one week on the show this. It wasn't jet lag. Yeah. Wasn't any too many old fashions. That's crazy doing more than one old fashioned. I asked out from work but wasn't travel related. How's that crazy? Because it's like a it's like a sipping drink. You have like one or two. So I'm sipping two or three a day doing nine all day old fashion. Those are boozy. That's a boozy drink. You want a beer? It's like a nightcap drink. They make says more like one with like happy hour.
All right. Then we go back to the Miller likes. Did you get the top shelf trend package? Damn right. I did. Kind of questions that they've. Oh, you have to. You're having nine old fashions. Yeah. I mean, I'm a I'm a simple man. You know, I don't I don't want to say that my favorite bourbon. But it's not spin the wheel again, please. Okay. I shot with it. Cody, what did it land on there? I can't see. You know, I can't see the where is it? Mike, can you tell? Can you see what it is? I'm on a sword before. I don't see. What did you do, Glaci? Can any of you see it? You read it. I can't. None of you can see it. I can't see it. Football season is back, Jack. And there are certain games you must experience in person. No, it is not, it might be my third over here. No, no, no, no, you might be my hard drive. No, but you get in the third round. No, no thank you. 40 you should ask. I take Patrick my host. I said what is the story involving you in Cam Newton?
What is the back story involving you in Cam Newton? Okay, so one day last week, I don't remember which date it was, but it was the day that you decided to say that there are no black people on NFL broadcasts. You remember that day, right? I do. Yeah, and then I made the point that the former players are the former black players who aren't on the major broadcasts, they're doing their own podcast, you know, they're starting their own kind of deal. So Cam Newton on his show, he and his producers decided to really do me dirty and edit the clip in a very specific way so that they can make me look stupid. Here it is. Okay, and I just wonder if you guys noticed that the sport is disproportionately black and the broadcasters that get hired are disproportionately white. It's the black players who then do all the podcast. Stop the light, that was the most ignorant response ever.
Why are we doing the podcast, brother? It's because the major networks aren't giving us the same opportunity. We are forced to control our own narrative because we can't tell a narrative to the network that does not give us mainstream airtime. What's the criteria here that we're going over? What's the metrics to be allowed? Crime time commentating. Is it the position you play? Is it your resume as a player? Is it the knowledge of the game to your point, Peggy? Oh, we know how time-ready got his deal. How does a Tony Rommel get his deal? Oh, well, we know how Troy Acman got his deal. How does a Chris Collins worth get his deal? These are all mainstream color commentators like we're seeing these faces. As I have to say, Charles Davis is not capable. He's the voice of Madden Games. RG3. Jonathan Vilma. Jason McCordy. We've seen a guy like Lewis Reddick had this opportunity and then he gets tapped on his shoulder.
So you have a guy who I think is overly qualified and in Nate Burleson who does a nationally syndicated show with the Great Gail King. Is he not capable? I just hate the narrative that's being painted here that former Black athletes or former minority athletes are capable of holding their own on a main stage level. So I gotta give his crew a lot of credit for two things. The way they edited it perfectly to make me look stupid, which is what they wanted, of course, and they edited it perfectly enough so that they didn't hear anything that you were saying and Cam Newton was able to say exactly everything that you said right after that clip if they would have let it continue. Stop it right there, Peggy! Yeah, he did say stop it right there, but it doesn't take away that you said it. Like you said it. He's not making you look ignorant. You made you sound stupid. Dan said the stuff that Cam said, which was rightful.
Like, yeah, they're on the podcast because they're shunned from the network broadcast. You did say that. Right, but the way that I was saying it, the point that I was making was, I thought, you know, going straight to podcasts and like that is essentially you're owning your material, you're producing your own stuff. I feel like that's a power move, is it not? I feel like he would rather have the $30 million in years. Well, I may be wrong about that, but I felt it's like, hey, I want to own my stuff. I don't want to work for somebody. I thought it was interesting moderately, I guess, because this has been happening to me for 15 years since Breitbart started doing it. Back when the Tea Party was the furthest right you would go politically, I thought it was interesting that there was some backlash to this because Brandon Turnie called it pandering by me to point out factually that there just aren't very many color men who are doing broadcasts on the NFL games, packaged and brought to you
and shown to 10 million people, 15 million people, 20 million people. You did it again. All right, so I think this is part of your problem. Stop saying color men. Just go color analysts. Color analysts. Color analysts. And like this whole headache that we've been dealing with for the last week probably all goes away. You don't even have to say color analysts anymore. Yes, play by play and analyst. Analyst, the color analyst. Thank you. There are four of them, right? There's way more. No, there aren't way more. We've been correct. No, it's color commenting. You can do that too. Just color man. No, that's where you can get misgroded. Yeah, don't do that. Why do you say four? Because I think it's the numbers only four. Charles Davis got taken off of the NFL. He's now the lead analyst, Dan. For CBS, for CBS's college football. The NBA, the NBA, the NFL has the number one team, the number two team, the number three team, the number four team. There isn't a number one color commentator that is a person of color. There are that many number twos, threes and fours either.
I thought you said. Louis Riddick is on the second team for ESPN. He's a studio analyst for the most part. Yeah, but this one's confusing. And I guess what happened was Dan said, color man and people thought you said color demand. I don't, or you conflated what you were trying to talk about with studio analysts. To me, this is the dumbest aggregation yet from people with a bad agendas. Because they maybe look stupid. Well, no, you made you look stupid. This is the most obvious thing in the world that it's disproportionate that when it comes to color commentators in the NFL and the nation's biggest sport, it doesn't reflect the labor force. There is a disproportionate amount of white lead analyst in that sport relative to the work force that is not a hot take. We have done the math. It is quantifiable. If you want to explore why that is, go ahead, ask your questions. But to push back of all the pushback that I've heard, I haven't heard a single person go, well, that's not true. I haven't seen someone sit count them off and say,
no, that accurately reflects what the labor force looks like. It's just people upset that Dan is merely bringing it to the attention of the masses that there is a disproportionate amount of white commentators to black commentators. Are you supposed to appeal and look like the labor force workforce or like the audience? Well, that's a question because they're pandering too. They're trying to appeal to a white audience, a largely white audience. So they could say we want... Is it largely white audience? Like that largely for NFL? The American demographics? No, for NFL. For NFL. It reflects a nation. Like you're not going to get more African Americans all of a sudden living in America. Like it's the biggest thing and it's the biggest television property going. So I imagine the demos reflect that of America. It is not a hot take. It is not a hot take whatsoever. Well, I think some people felt that you were talking about all analysts. Well, that is what happened. Because you go look at studio. There are many blacks. Yes, yes, yes. By the way, it's also disproportionate,
but it's just less so it allows you to arm yourself and go, well, but what Dan is actually talking about? Factually, there is no statistical pushback that you can have. It is a matter of fact. The distinction I'm making between a game analyst and studio analyst is that on the games is when the 20 million people are watching. That's what the product is. That's the networks who are partnering with the NFL. All of that is done so that Luke Kekeley and JJ Wat and an assortment of white cowboys get the jobs where you have the accent, literal white cowboys. They might as well be wearing cowboy hats. Because what they're trying to do there is put that accent on their games. Because that's the product that they're giving to you on Sundays and Mondays. And now Wednesdays and Thursdays. Studio analysts get more actual airtime than play by play. They don't get more money. Not more people watching either. They're watching the games. They're also watching the studio analysts, but they're watching the games.
The games is why Joe Buck and Troy Ackman get $17 million a year. Tom Brady's not being paid for studio analysts. He's being paid for lending his name to the games. He's also getting paid in line with what the main host of the biggest shows in America get. Ryan Seacrest's salary has been fodder for a long time. He was the biggest host on the biggest property. And that's how I view Joe Buck and Troy Ackman. I don't view them as your typical lead analyst and lead play by play guys. I think that's a different tier. I think that's Maxion on Tuesday. I look at these guys as television hosts first for the biggest property in TV. Well, and isn't it also like you're wondering why is this analyst or getting paid this much money to put them in the room with sponsors? That's where the value is of Tom Brady, not as an analyst because he has no experience. The value is you're putting him in the room with the sponsors. You're right there.
That's not what happens. But as is almost finding it, I think that's why it's disproportionate. It's a good old boy in that work. Yes. It's, hey, throw your money behind this guy. Yes. It's a lot easier to throw your money behind Chris Collins' worth than maybe Steve Smith. Ackman and Buck got paid because Romo got overpaid by CBS. That's the fact of what happened. That changed the whole salary structure. So they weren't at the numbers. You're just trying to buy that. Yes, but the salary structure is right in that their agent should be looking at it as television properties, not as sports properties. They were probably getting underpaid when you look at the ratings. But I think that's a good lane for Cam Newton, where he edits clips specifically. So he cuts it off and then says exactly what the other people on that show say and uses it as his own. That's a good lane. Plagerism. Let's spin the wheel again, please. David, what does it say there? One spot. Move a little to the right. Right. Chat, chat, GPT. Has predicted what the Super Bowl will look like.
And I was surprised by both of the teams that they had in the Super Bowl before we go to the bucket here. Did they have the Colts and the Giants? Oh, I love this Daniel. The Daniel Jones Bowl. They had the Colts and the Giants and the Super Bowl champion was the Colts. And in the AFC championship game, they had Colts over Bengals and they had Giants over Cowboys. Well, and not just that. Just look at the teams in the playoffs of the AFC. Chets, Browns, Titans, Raiders. Chats in the Jets. And the Raiders. Tyna. What is, how is that possible that the Cardinals are in the playoffs? The Saints are in the first way. That works the first. Come on. What's happened here? What just happened? Browns versus Titans. We've been scammed. That's not. That's real. Is that our partners? Is that draft Kings? Which is using Chat GPT? And that's what happened? Yeah, I imagine if you asked Chat GPT, you might get a different answer. But on this given day, where draft Kings asked, they had the Browns going to the second round of the NFL playoffs.
Let's spin the wheel again here. Please. Let's spin the wheel. Greg, can you see what it is that it says? No, I still, we're in position. I still can't see the wheel. I'm going to get these things checked. Does that say Canton? Is that Canton? Scream. Is that, is that, what is the Canton voters? What happened with the team? This is your specialty. Yeah, here's what happened. Now, I'm a baseball Hall of Fame voter. I'm not a football Hall of Fame voter. But if I were, I might be out of a job. Canton just reduced its Hall of Fame voters staff from 50 to 25. And my theory is that they basically fired all the voters who had the temerity to not induct Bill Bellichek on the first ballot. Because that was a huge embarrassment for the pro football Hall of Fame. And the, Canton will never admit it. But I think they're making these changes to punish the people who didn't vote Bellichek in. I'm reporting that.
I'm reporting that that's something I believe. You're reporting on your beliefs. Yes, I'm reporting that that is something I think. It's called the pinion. Not reporting. I'm reporting my opinion. Okay, great. Thank you. Not every part of the wheel is going to be a winner, Dan. Tony, you know that moment at a party or a tailgate where everything just sort of clicks. I know it well. It's usually when I show up. Everybody goes crazy. Yeah, you usually take all the credit for it. But it's because Tony usually walks in with Quare. I'm blocking my piss. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Quarevo is a thing that turns hanging out into this is the night. It has that effect on people. It does. You usually take the credit for it. But again, it's the Quarevo effect. It's like that moment in a big game where everyone in the crowd just starts standing up, hooting and hollering. Keep it quarevo. Keep it quarevo, baby. Down lebatar. Baker Mayfield tearing up Tampa Bay 38 for 45. Great Cody. Shreddum! This is the down lebatar show. Did I just see the Reaper stick his or her head in?
Okay, it's time for the bucket. Oh, come on. It's time for the bucket. Let's go ahead to this. Plotting Reaper. Really slow, really slow Reaper. I'm making time for the imagery. I got the browns. Let me see what I'm doing. Come on. They are at the Jags. They're an eight and a half point dog. Obviously, putting them back. Before the people that don't know, you get two picks at the bucket. Your first option, you can either keep it or put it back. If you do put it back, your second pick you are stuck with. I know we have football, a Super Bowl rematch today and football on Thursday. Rams. That's one of the teams playing in Australia. That's a, you upgraded. But it's not really the NFL season until Scott Hansen says, Kaye-Me Fair Bear. Right? You didn't put the Rams helmet back in there. Did you say? Oh, sorry, sorry, sorry. Sorry, let me look. Let me do it. I'll give it a good shuffle. I know the rules. But you agree, right?
Put it on the pool. It's not football season until Scott Hansen says, Kaye-Me Fair Bear. Here we go. First pool. Ooh, Super Bowl finalists in the Colts. Who did they go? The Colts aren't home against the Ravens. The Ravens are a three and a half point favorite. You should keep it. Yeah, I'd keep that above. A home dog? A home dog. I'm not bullish on the Ravens. We haven't finished in last but let's go ahead. Put that back. We are picking straight up just for people that I don't know where we're not doing. We're saying the spreads just to tell people but you've got to pick it straight up winners. Kansas City Chiefs. Ricky Lifte. The Chiefs are at home against the Broncos. They are two and a half point favorite. All right, here we go. Now I'm up. Let's see here. First home hits. Patriots. That's a top. I played an eye brother. You're going to have point dog against the sea. I don't want to stress tonight. I'm going to back. I have the Super Bowl chance. I don't want to put it. It'll be me. A bowling stress. Bowing night. Bowing night. BANGLES. Oh, that's going to be a good game.
They got the box. OK, so the Bengals are at home. They are a three and a half point favorite. I don't have the ball take. I'll take it. Don't have a choice. Yeah, this is going to be the witching hour. This is going to be the witching hour game, right? Bucks, Bengals. As Jeremy picks, Mike, do you have any opinions on Baker Mayfield signing a contract extension for three years? Ravens. OK. All right, well, they're at the Colts. I learned that. Three and a half point favorite tonight, not tonight, but... I'm going to bet. Yeah, I'm glad he got his money. I thought he would opt for the years. He's at the age where he would try to get more years. But he's getting paid fairly. And I'm glad I worked out for the guy. The Giants. They're home against the Cowboys. NFC champion Giants, according to artificial intelligence. All right, I'll take it. I'll take it. I'll take it. Cowboys smaller than I ever thought. See you later, Jeremy. We promise executes. Is there any line you agree with? You got the Miami line with Clemson Bad? Yes, I agree with many of these lines. I don't agree with the Cowboys being only a two and a half point favorite at the Giants. What do you have, Roy?
I have the Carolina Panthers. OK. NFC South Champion. So they're at home against the Bears. They're a three and a half point dog. Oh, Bears. I'm putting it back. A lot of putbacks, we call. I'm also going to be featured in the witching hour, I think. The Pittsburgh Steelers. Oh, that's a good one. You got two of. Yeah, you're, uh, you got two or three and a half or two. Three and a half, two of. Favorite against the Falcons. Yeah. Because that allow us to play. Jamie Reapers now entering the room. Does that allow us to play just in honor of two, a him doing karaoke? That was one of the things that was on the wheel. Let's do that before the end of the segment. I want to play the sound of two trying to do karaoke while you know, see that. New England. Well, that's right. Yeah, I don't want that. Because you're going to be with Chris bowling. Bowling the Patriots are three and a half point dog against the. They've got to be the man. Jacksonville. So Jacksonville's an eight and a half point favorite against Brown. You might not be football season until Spiro's goes.
Oh, I got the Bears at the Panthers. I'll keep that. I'll keep the Bears at the Panthers as the key in the Bears. Big for Samson here. Do I have to pay the penalty? You'll dress up on nothing personal for nothing. Yeah. OK. What do you mean you have to pay the penalty? Well, no one ever has to pay it around here. I don't want to be the only one. We actually were doing a thing. We actually do pay the. Jeremy's in charge now. Texans are getting one and a half from the bills. Yes, they are. They're my superbow pick. They're at home against the bills. No, what are they? You've got to put a bill to the tax. Put it back. I'm putting it back. So there's a risk. We pick. Who's your superbowl pick? Bill's with Josh Allen as MVP. OK. Be careful on that limb. Wimpy. Oh, wow. That's the bills. There's what a story nailed it. Yes. So there you go. So it's the bill. Carren reaper out. Get out of here, Reaper. Let's be quicker next time. We had the leading rush here. But Khalil Shakir was his leading receiver. Like, come on. He could use some more help. Go ahead and play for me.
Please the sound and video of Tua doing karaoke. I'm going to play this on a drink by drink. Where girl never said songs are saved. I'm going to be in the hurry. Put it on the pole at Levitage show. Should you ever do karaoke seated, yes or no? So we caught a lot of crap for this because everyone's like, this is how he's preparing for the season. They have a biweek. This is how everyone is largely spending their time on vacation. Some of them choose to go to their Alma Mater, shout out Ruben Bay and Keen Mesador and CJ Daniels. Some of them want to go to the Caribbean and do some karaoke. It's like a lot of your last time off with your family before the season started. I think the only thing that is problematic here and possible predictive analysis for other seasons going to go is him sitting down. You do not do that. That's gross. That is horrific. In Japan, you sit down all the time. Did you karaoke? Well, that's in all the books. That's their catchers. That's supposed to be for the people that are enjoying the song.
When it's your turn to sing, you get up. In America, we stand. You're offended by players doing stuff between football games? Well, we're offended by this. That's not what you do. If someone goes up there to karaoke, first off, he's not even going up. That's part of the, you get the spotlight. It's your time to shout. That mic went to him. Yeah, you don't make the person go walk to you and you're just sitting down, chilling. I don't know how that white girl's out there summoning the energy to dance. You got to muster up some energy. No, no, this isn't just any player. This is Tua. Okay, when you, it's all about the optics. When you look at that video, everybody in his right mind, particularly people living in Atlanta are going, hey, Tua, less singing, more living up to your high draft position. The players are out partying every night. I'm just not sure. Dominic and I have had an issue with this and he claims as football player, he never did anything because he never was on the road except for one night, whereas in baseball, they're out partying every single night. Your players who famously we had would go out every night of the year and they play
games every day. But here's the thing, and you're privy to more information than most. Most people don't know that. If the hero of the team is partying, everybody's like, all right, let's go. If the guy having a 14 game hitless streak is partying, you're like, really? No, I'm not. I don't know why we're doing any of that. Like, I don't believe actually that these days, there are exceptions to this. But I do believe that everything in sports at the very top levels of professional sports has gotten serious and scientific enough that most guys aren't partying every single night. Like I think that's a tired old thing that people may have been doing once upon a time. But I don't believe that's actually what's happening all over the place in the league. And especially not in football. Are you ever doing that the night before a game? Like, but that's not that's not an actual thing where your performance is actually going to be hung over during a football game when you're only playing 17 of those a year.
Some of it is sports science, no doubt, and a different approach, but also a lot of it's generational. Why do they have guards at the team hotels in the NFL to stop players from leaving? Why is there a curfew? If everyone's not going out, do you actually need a curfew? If you're kids well-behaved, you need a world saying I'm saying much of this is now silent. They are statistical outliers. Even if a guy wants to be immature and try to sneak out, there are all sorts of rules in place so that guys can't do that anymore. Like this is the amount of investment in this business at this point for 17 Sundays a year. I don't think people are as flippant about this as they were once upon a time. I don't I think that's athletic cliche. I think that stereotype. And I also think it's old information. It's not where guys are living these days. It's strange though, compared to the other sports. Like NFL players have always had curfew and the other sports not just go be an adult. It is funny how much things have changed. There are guys getting kicked out like legit good players getting kicked off of big time
college football programs that if you would compare it to like the early hurricane seems to the early 90s, it'd be like that guy's a loser. I have said this of the Miami Heat particularly military school for millionaires, but football, like basketball you still have some of this James Harden is still doing some of this. So I would not say that this is athletically, she or stereotype necessarily in basketball, but it ain't a thing in football. Like that's not no, not at all. I remember when I was doing my local show here in Miami when Brett Romberg was my cohost and there was one show where I was explaining to him how players for baseball basketball, they go out and they hang out on the road. He didn't believe me. That other sports are allowed to go out because that's never a thing for the NFL. Let's spin the wheel here. I just got them to get me some better glasses so that I could read this here a little better because I'm surrounded by bad eyesight here. Oh, Diana Rossini.
The New York Post is reporting that she will tell her side of the Vrable story upon taking her next job and she is said to be weighing multiple offers and could juggle more than one job. He's one from you? No. I have not talked to Diana in detail about much of any of this. It has just been sort of texting and making sure she's okay and checking in with her on how it is that she is doing, but I have not offered her a job. Well, before you ask, the Greg Cody show podcast cannot confirm the speculation that she may be joining us. I have no comment whatsoever. You offered her a job on behalf of who? Like I say, I have no comment. No comment? I can't. What's out there is bar stool. I just can't. I mean, there's a lot out there I would think. It's not just bar stool. I have seen you would offer her a job. It's not just bar stool. It's too much. No, I've only seen, I'm telling you what I saw, but obviously there's more platforms,
but I saw the bar stool was waiting to offer and I had heard that Stu had made an offer or would make an offer, did make an offer. He says things. He makes sense. Sometimes. But now we've got Cody, but not metal arc. So we're narrowing it down. The Greg Cody show featuring Greg Cody with has what to promote today, because we haven't gotten to your weekly promotion of your podcast. No, what's on my podcast? Christopher with O-M. You're not a god of that. No, we have been on. Christopher. No. Christopher, what's on my podcast? No, no, here we go. We have, we have Greg Cody. That's what you have. We have videos from my pig roast. We have videos from my trip to Bimini and Key West. Controversial pig roast by the way. We have a brand new Greg's Lobos hard knocks season premiere. That is we're tuning in for. Yeah, and you know, I complain about not winning enough Sui Awards. Who's your offensive partner? There is a thread to these segments. It's a very self-envolved episode. Well, don't you have any of the show? Don't you have Greg's Lobos offensive coordinator on hard knocks?
Yeah, we do, actually. What's the name? Hang on, just say, just help me here, Chris. Chris, would you help me? Has this been recorded or is it not? Oh, it's been recorded. It hasn't yet. It still doesn't know. No, the name here. No, Earl Sheebatty. There we go. Is the name. She back? And also my fired ex defensive coordinator, Turd Cartwheel, makes a reappearance on the podcast's episode. That's for them. Earl's mom. That's right. Earl Sheebatty is mom. Sheebatty. Such a great promo, Greg. Yeah, you're over the catcher from the six- Why are you so shabby at this? I accept it. We're warning every time. I get worse. I get more money. And we also mourn he haul the donkey. You guys hear about that? Crazy story. If you didn't hear him correctly, that's right. Turd Cartwheel.
