Daniel Thomas, the former Jacksonville Jaguar safety and special team standout, is headed to a new team.

According to NFL Network Insider, Ian Rappaport, he's signing with the Cleveland Browns.

Thomas hit free agency after the Jaguar's released him last August during roster cuts.

He quickly joined the Detroit Lions and played in 12 games for them last season, including two starts.

With the Lions, he logged 111 defensive snaps, made 11 tackles, and had one pass break up.

He was also a key special team's contributor, racking up 232 snaps there.

Drafted in the fifth round by Jacksonville back in 2020, Thomas started with some defensive reps early on.

Over time, he became a special team specialist, playing at least 200 snaps in each of his last four years,

with the Jaguars across multiple phases.

The Jaguars revamped their safety group last off-season by signing Eric Murray,

and drafting rookies like Kayla Branson and Ray-Ewan Lane, while keeping.

Veterans Andrew Wingard and Darnell Savage.
