Darius Slay Retires After Super Bowl Win

On this March 20th, here's what's making headlines for the NFL.

Veteran quarterback Darius Slay had a brief run with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He signed the one-year deal for $10 million last off-season, but only stuck around until December.

Earlier this week, he confirmed that Shortston marked the end of his playing days.

Slay shared plenty of respect for the Steelers' organization.

At this point in his career, though, he said Philadelphia was his only real option, besides staying put.

He just didn't want to uproot his life again for another team.

He also gave a nod to Josh Allen, calling him one of the top quarterbacks with a real shot at a title.

Slay's background includes a first team all pro-nod, with the Detroit Lions in 2017, where he spent his first seven seasons.

When asked about unretiring for the Eagles, Slay shut it down quick.

Few teams could pull him back, and he's definitely not following Brandon Graham's path.

He loves Philly and will show up for games, but that's it.

Slay capped his career by winning Super Bowl 59 with the Eagles.

Now fully retired, he's closing the book on a solid NFL run.
