What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the Epstein Chronicles.
The congressional investigation into Jeffrey Epstein continued yesterday,
as the committee, deposed Darren Indyke, Jeffrey Epstein's longtime lawyer.
And of course, Darren Indyke said he had no idea about Jeffrey Epstein's crimes
and that he never saw anything that would even come close to what Jeffrey Epstein was accused of.
Oh, and those withdrawals that he made when he was structuring and avoiding Title 31?
Well, that's because he had trouble getting a credit card.
Meanwhile, the withdrawals were coming from Epstein's account.
And if Indyke was having trouble getting our credit card,
he could have easily just got one of Epstein's.
He was conducting Epstein's business, not his own.
And I don't need the transcript to tell you that if that's what he said,
he perjured himself and considering who we're talking about here,
my guess is, it wasn't the only time that he was playing loose with the truth.
If Darren Indyke tells the truth, he is going to implicate himself.
And obviously, that's the last thing he wants to do.
So let's dive into this article from CNN and let's see what they have to say about the deposition of Darren Indyke.
Headline, longtime Epstein attorney says he didn't know of the financiers' sexual abuse.
This article was authored by M. Steck and Annie Greyer.
Jeffrey Epstein's longtime employee and attorney Darren Indyke
testified to lawmakers on Thursday that he had no knowledge whatsoever
of the convicted sex offenders wrongdoing and rejected any suggestion.
He assisted or facilitated his former boss's crimes,
according to a copy of his opening statement.
Well, that settles it.
Darren Indyke told you he had nothing to do with it.
So we should just move on, right?
Find somebody else to talk to.
It's not me, babe. It's not me.
Had I known that he was abusing or trafficking women,
I would have quit working for him at once and severed all ties to him.
Indyke said in an opening statement to the House Oversight Committee,
a copy of which CNN obtained.
The truth is that I did not know what Mr. Epstein did after hours
behind closed doors and in places where I was not present.
You sure signed a lot of paperwork, though, didn't you?
How many lawsuits did you settle?
How much hush money did you pay?
How many sham marriages did you set up?
How much immigration fraud was involved?
And if Darren Indyke says none,
then I'm going to say, in my opinion, he's lying.
And I don't just pull that out of my hat.
I think we have reams of evidence.
That point to Darren Indyke being a major cog in the Epstein machine.
And if Epstein would have been charged with Rico,
like he should have been, Indyke would have been charged as well.
Indyke, one of Epstein's longest serving employees,
worked as an attorney forum for more than 20 years,
on corporate, transactional, and general legal services.
He described his work as a consulting role
for an entirely legitimate purpose.
The closed-door deposition lasted for roughly eight hours.
An entirely legitimate purpose, huh?
I'm pretty sure that all the people that were wronged
wouldn't feel the same way.
Whether it's financially, whether it's physically,
or anything in between, I highly doubt legitimate is involved.
Democrats say they believe that Indyke is not credible
for saying he had no knowledge of Epstein's crimes
and said Indyke may have perjured himself in his deposition.
Well, I haven't seen the transcript,
so I'll take the same stance I always do
until we look at that.
But I have no doubt that Indyke was telling stories.
He has to, if not, he's going to incriminate himself, right?
So Indyke is in a spot.
Now, do I think he's ever gonna be charged
with perjury or lying to Congress?
Hell no.
They don't have the guts.
And remember, this whole entire procedure
is nothing more than procedure rule.
If you think that James Comer and his band of merry men
are going to do anything as far as real oversight here
or really hold anyone accountable,
you have not been paying attention.
If it wasn't for the discharge petition, forget it.
Democratic representative Dave Minne,
a lawyer and former law professor,
said of the deposition,
it's just not credible to claim
that you had no knowledge of what was happening.
I'm very surprised that he did not take the Fifth Amendment.
I think it's very likely that he perjured himself over
and over and over again.
The congressman said,
and look, I wasn't in the room, right?
So I'm not going to sit here and tell you
that Dave Minne's telling the truth.
I don't know.
But one thing I definitely do know
after all these years
is that Darren Indike
is not exactly what I would call a truthful person.
So if Dave Minne is saying that he perjured himself,
he probably did.
And if I was a betting man
and you were laying odds,
I would take the bet that he perjured himself.
Democratic representative Jasmine Crocket said,
I can tell you that he has been quite defensive
of Jeffrey Epstein,
almost as if he still doesn't believe
Jeffrey Epstein to be who Jeffrey Epstein was.
Well, that's because fellow travelers and all, right?
A lot of these people that come out and say,
oh, well, I'm abhorred by what Jeffrey Epstein was up to.
We're actually in on it.
They were there, they were around,
they knew, they heard, they didn't care.
Why should they?
Some vulnerable girl from West Palm Beach.
What does that matter to them?
Hey, Jeffrey, you got that 500,000 for me?
That's what matters, not poor people,
not vulnerable girls, not you or me.
More money, more power, more, more, more, more, more, more,
more, it's always more.
And inevitably that more comes from you.
Lawmakers are seeking answers on Indykes' work
and his knowledge of Epstein's financial dealings.
The testimony occurred behind closed doors.
The lawmakers are expected to release a video later.
Well, I want the transcript.
What's up with the videos?
Let's get the transcripts.
Videos are great, but the transcripts are important too.
So hopefully we get the actual written portion of this,
the transcript, so that we can dive into it.
In his opening statement, Indyke pushed back on allegations
that he withdrew thousands of dollars in cash
on Epstein's behalf to avoid triggering bank suspicions.
He said the cash was not used for any improper purposes.
Bro, you were structuring.
Stop the nonsense.
We talked about this years ago.
All of a sudden, you weren't structuring.
I mean, that might work on somebody else, but not me.
I used to manage a sports book in Las Vegas.
I know all about Title 31.
And if any of my players were trying to do
what Darren Indyke did, they'd be hit with a saw so quick
that it would make your head spin.
Police investigators found that Epstein
often paid young girls and women between $200 and $300.
That the woman said came after he abused them
under the guise of performing massages in the mid-2000s.
Min said he asked Indyke about a $725,000 cash withdrawal
he made using a maximum of $7,500 per withdrawal
to not trigger federal reporting
and said that Indyke couldn't describe
what that was for.
Well, Epstein said it was for gas for the plane.
Remember, oh, this is for fuel.
And of course, the bank was happy to help him out.
But now Indyke has no idea.
He has no clue what's going on.
I guess it's just another case of Epstein Amnesia.
In his opening statement, Indyke also categorically denied
that he helped course young women into same sex,
sham marriages with each other to circumvent immigration,
calling it 100% untrue.
Well, I think he's lying.
And I think the evidence backs it up.
And all it's gonna take is one of these girls
to come forward and say, yeah, this happened
and Indyke is cooked and I have a sneaking suspicion.
That's gonna happen.
These allegations were made in a 2024 class action
civil lawsuit filed by Epstein victims against Indyke
and his fellow co-executor of Epstein's estate, Richard Khan.
The pseudo-ledged, that the two were facilitators
in Epstein's sex trafficking operation
and were also integral in allowing Epstein
to escape justice for years by concealing his litany of crimes.
The pair strongly denied the allegations.
Recently, the estate agreed to settle the lawsuit
for up to 35 million, but admitted no wrongdoing.
The court preliminarily approved the settlement
earlier this month.
It's always except the suit, but with no wrongdoing, right?
Hell of a system we have set up here in America
when you can buy your way out of allegations like these.
Addressing the committee, Indyke also said
that after Epstein was convicted in 2008 on state charges
for soliciting prostitution from a minor.
His former boss appeared devastated
and extremely contrite.
Yeah, devastated and contrite he got caught.
Well, you think he had a role more for what he did?
We all know the answer to that.
Listen to him explain it himself.
Oh, it's like stealing a bagel.
What?
You abused literally thousands of people
you sicked a generate fuck.
What do you mean it's like stealing a bagel?
He was adamant that he had no idea
that anyone involved was underage
and personally assured me he would never again
let himself be in that position.
I believed him and I made the mistake
of believing Mr. Epstein that he would not again
commit a crime.
I deeply regret doing so.
Most importantly, I feel horrible for those women
who Mr. Epstein abused said Indyke.
Does he mean the women who's abusive facilitated?
Is that what he means?
Because from where I'm sitting here in the peanut gallery,
I think that the evidence certainly points in that direction.
House oversight chair James Colmer said that Republicans
asked Indyke why he continued to work with Epstein
after he was convicted in 2008.
Well, maybe someone should ask Colmer
why he didn't show up to talk to Les Wexner.
That might have been an important deposition, no?
But they're done with Les Wexner.
They have nothing left to ask him.

He said that Epstein told him it was a mistake.
It was a one time deal.
He didn't know the girl was under age.
The one that he got convicted of in West Palm Beach
and Dindike said he convinced him
that he would never do it again
and said that he had a remorse.
So that was about it.
Comer said, wow.
Imagine sitting on that committee
and listening to that nonsense.
I would be seething.
Democrats also said that Dindike
could not give a straight answer
about whether an accuser of President Donald Trump
was given a settlement,
which was an issue that came up
during the panel's deposition last week
with Epstein's accountant Richard Khan.
It's very concerning that the story around Jane Doe 4,
as it relates to the executors of the estate
has now changed four or five times,
whether there was ever a settlement.
So until we get an answer on that question,
we will not be satisfied.
Democratic representative Robert Garcia said,
well, I can agree with that.
Like we need to know the deal.
Was the settlement paid out or wasn't it?
It shouldn't be this big of a deal to find out.
Democratic representative Melanie Standsbury
said that she believes that there are two separate women
who have made allegations against Trump
because in the deposition on Thursday,
Dindike would not confirm if the woman
who filed the lawsuit and restraining order against Trump
that appeared in the Epstein estate files
was a separate individual from Jane Doe 4,
who appears in the Department of Justice Epstein files.
I ask today if these were two different individuals
and he cannot confirm.
I believe that these are two different allegations
involving two different minors.
Standsbury said, Trump has consistently denied
wrongdoing in connection with Epstein.
And the name appearing in the Epstein case files
is not evidence of wrongdoing.
Well, that's true.
But when you're mentioned what, 38,000 times or something,
people are gonna have some questions.
And then of course you have this war that just happens
to kick off coincidentally in the middle of all of this.
People are gonna have some questions.
In his opening statement, Dindike pointed to his work
as co-executor of Epstein's estate,
which is cooperated with the committee's requests
for evidence and material.
As if they had any choice.
I mean, come on.
The estate also established a restitution program
for Epstein victims called the Epstein Victim Compensation Program,
which dulled out 121 million to 136 women.
The estate has also settled multiple civil lawsuits
filed by victims and agreed to pay 48 million
to an additional 59 women.
And that compensation fund didn't even pay out
the amount of money to all those women, 136 of them,
as they did to the USVI.
But go ahead and tell me how this is all a cash grab.
Less than a million dollars each is what these women got
when you look at the aggregate total.
All of that for a lifetime of pain.
Sounds like a great deal, huh?
Garcia said that there are two areas
of the committee's subpoena to the Epstein estate,
which Dindike helps oversee that have not been provided
to the committee.
The missing documents include court records,
in the case between Virginia Roberts and Golan Maxwell,
as well as various documents related to businesses, firms,
and organizations that had communications with Epstein.
Garcia claimed that the estate has asked oversight Republicans
for clarity on which documents they need,
but Republicans are stalling.
Of course they are.
That's the whole entire trick.
Comer defended the Epstein's estate compliance with his subpoena
and said the reason they haven't pushed
to get the remaining documents is because they overlap
with other subpoenas, the committee is issued,
and is receiving documents for.
Oh, this guy is just too much.
This guy is way too much to deal with.
James Comer, you're gonna go down as one of the biggest clowns,
maybe in history.
When all is said and done, and this story is written,
you're gonna go down as a big time clown, my friend,
and don't think this is over for you
because that boomerang's gonna come back around.
At some point, my hope is that James Comer
is on the other end of one of these depositions
about his behavior during his investigation
into Jeffrey Epstein,
because enough is enough,
and at this point my question is,
who's watching the watchers?
In February, Tim Parlator,
who previously worked with Indike
and is a former attorney for President Donald Trump,
told CNN, Randy K,
that Indike worked on the legitimate side
of Epstein's business.
Oh, of course, of course he did another Trump friend.
Are you guys catching on yet?
A lawyer for Indike told CNN,
in a statement at the time,
not a single woman has ever accused Mr. Indike
or Mr. Khan of committing sexual abuse,
or witnessing sexual abuse,
nor claimed at any time that she reported to them
any allegation of Mr. Epstein's abuse.
Notice they don't talk about enabling.
Notice they don't talk about being co-conspirators
or committing financial crimes.
Because that's what they did.
Nobody ever said Indike and Khan were abusing girls
or they were sitting around in the corner
in the cocktail watching.
Nobody ever said that.
Notice how they don't ask about any of the serious issues.
They don't really dive in and dig deep.
And then you have coma coming out and defending it.
The lawyer added that both men have denied
they knowingly facilitated or assisted Mr. Epstein
and his sexual abuse or trafficking of women
or that they were aware of Mr. Epstein's actions,
knowingly facilitated.
I mean, they might have, but they didn't know.
Could have been on the slide.
Oh, you know what?
Maybe I did facilitate them now that I think about it.
Folks, these people think you're stupid
and they think the sham of a committee
is gonna help them help you move on.
But the more they want us to move on,
the more we dig in.
And that's exactly what I plan on doing here on the podcast.
So like usual, we'll keep an eye on things
and when we get a transcript to add to the catalog,
we most certainly will do that.
Until then, that's gonna do it for this one.
