Derion Kendrick Joins Dallas Cowboys, Fulfilling Lifelong Dream

On March 27, Daryon Kendrick, just signed with the Dallas Cowboys as a cornerback, marking

a dream come true for the lifelong fan.

From his youth football days in South Carolina, with the Rock Hill Cowboys, he's always

rooted for Dallas.

This week, he joined their roster to bolster a defense that needs more depth in the

secondary.

Kendrick was drafted in the sixth round by the Los Angeles Rams in 2022.

He spent two seasons there, before moving to the Seattle Seahawks for the first half of

last year.

After his release in late November, the Rams claimed him back, where he played five games

to finish the season.

The veteran corner describes himself as smart, tough, physical, and great at reading the

ball.

Last year, he trained against top receivers like Jackson Smith and Jigba, Pukin Nakua,

and Devonte Adams, sharpening his skills for big match-ups.

Now with the Cowboys, Kendrick looks forward to practice battles against stars like CD

Lamb and his old college teammate, George Pickens, from Georgia.

He sees those sessions as key prep for game days.

The team also added Corey Valentine this week, bringing their cornerback count to nine,

including Doran Bland and others.

This move gives Dallas fresh options heading into training camp, closing the loop on Kendrick's

journey from fan to pro on the field he always loved.
