The Orlando Magic escaped with an overtime win against the Washington Wizards for their sixth straight game. But it obviously was not easy for the Magic despite the difference in the teams' quality.
The Magic were slow and looked fatigued on the second night of a back-to-back, missing many of the details that have powered them through this win streak. That nearly cost them as the Washington Wizards rallied from as much as a 19-point deficit to make a seemingly simple win a frantic finish.
The players who saved the day were the two who had the details down. Tristan da Silva had a career-high 26 points as he continues a torrid run of play since the All-Star break. His play continues to highlight how important he will be in this Playoff push.

On today's episode of Lockdown Magic, a somewhat painful, potentially painful reminder
for the Orlando Magic that it's always the details how the magic struggled to battle
through fatigue or whatever excuse you want, but still found a way to win the conflicting
feelings of an overtime victory over the Washington Woods, plus we will talk about Tristan
how Tristan to Silva has made a huge difference for the Orlando Magic and made another big,
big, big impact in tonight's game, a win, which is ultimately all that matters.
We get to that coming up here in just a moment.

If you were like me, you expected the washer to put up a fight like again, I'm a shock
that the wizards did some good things were a little bit of tougher out than than we all
thought like Tuesday was an embarrassing day.
And wizards have a lot of young players, but they have NBA players.
They're going to care.
They're going to play hard.
But they're also going to make plenty of mistakes.
And that is the trap of playing the taking teams right now because yes, they will make
mistakes.
They will they will let you get away with a lot.
The challenge is not to let that be the story.
The challenge is to play yourself like we were in the magic locker room before the game
and usually in the magic locker room, they have like the matchups, they have the projected
starting lineups, they tell you who the matchups are.
Like I do know who's guarding who and who's guarding who before the game.
They have the defensive coverage.
They have all these keys on one of the whiteboards in there.
On the other side, they have the on the other side, they usually don't have very much.
But today, they had these like mini goals and it was very, very clear that the magic
weren't playing the wizards.
They were playing themselves.
They were playing against their standard and that's something we've talked about a lot
this season because magic for good chunk of this year have failed to meet that standard.
They failed to do the things that they are supposed to do that they need to do to win
night in and night out.
And while the magic led for really the entire game, the wizards took a brief lead in overtime.
But the magic led the entire game.
They led by as much as 19.
It always felt like the magic were kind of coasting.
And it should be no surprise that the two heroes of the game, the two guys that saved
the day in overtime that were the best players of the course of the game, were really the
two guys who played to those details, who did those little things that are so necessary
for success.
And it was Jalen Suggs who had a season high 28 points.
It was Tristan Silva who had a career high 26 points, excuse me.
They were the ones making these little plays, getting seals, digging out loose balls,
getting rebounds, making key shots at key moments.
Suggs had the tie breaking three in overtime.
Tristan Silva had a huge offensive rebound in the wizards because their tanking didn't
fall immediately, didn't let the magic burn another, but it's 14 seconds off the shot
clock with a five point lead.
And then eventually they just didn't cause a amount of like the wizards, the wizards coaching
staff did not want to win this game.
Their players certainly did, but all cool of all he certainly did.
But really throughout the game, it felt like the magic should be up war.
It always felt like, well, in the first quarter, they led by 10 after one quarter, they
were five for seven from three.
The wizards were one for 10.
It just felt like, oh, the magic shooting is covering up all these problems and the
wizards aren't good enough to take advantage of the issues that the magic has, some of
the sloppy passing, some of the sloppy plays and look even Jalen Suggs who I praise and
I think had a really nice game.
He had a long stretch in the second half or he was just sloppy, like going back and forth
without playing composed.
In games like this, it is all about the details.
And it was the stuff that was so good on Wednesday against Cleveland.
Tonight it just sort of felt like we can get away with this.
And look, that's human nature.
The magic sort of admitted that the emotions of Wednesday nights game against Cleveland,
how much that took out of them physically, emotionally, there is fatigue, there is mental
fatigue, there is physical fatigue and Jamal Mosley even said after the game that Jonathan
Isaac who left the game with what is now been diagnosed as a left knee strain, but looked
very, very scary at the time.
He went up for an alley up in the third quarter, came down hard, clutching his left knee,
everybody thought the worst.
Jamal Mosley admitted like that was where his mind was at, that's all he was thinking
about after the game.
And especially because everyone knows how hard Jonathan Isaacs worked to get back from
his injuries.
That was an emotional moment that the magic had to overcome and Jalen Suggs was dealing
with various injuries.
He went down clutching his knee at one point, he went knees on a screen at one point,
he rolled his ankle at one point, he took a really nasty fall, trying to block a shot
at one point.
And then like we asked Suggs after the game and he says like, I want to go home and just
get into cold tub.
Like that dude was spent.
But Jonathan Isaac, when Jonathan Isaac left the game with 526 to play the magic group
by up by 15 points.
Game was far from over, they led by 15 heading in the fourth quarter, but again, it's all
of these details.
It's all of these little things just adding up.
And look, against the wizards you can get away with all this stuff to a point.
This Washington does have NBA players, but all Kool-A-Bolly went nuts in the fourth quarter.
The wizards were down by 15, they came back, they tied the game, Kool-A-Bolly hit a step
in three that was very poorly defended with 5 seconds left to tie the game.
Magic got, Magic's offense just got stagnant, like a lot of standing around waiting for
Paolo to do something, he didn't have it tonight.
Like guys were gassed and they played like they were tired.
Luckily in the playoffs, you don't play back to back, so that might be a bad thing because
the magic are like 10 and 2 and the second I had it back to back.
But this became a game where the magic had to simply hang on.
And they just weren't sharp, they weren't sharp at all.
And if they play like this, you know, it's good that you, you know, honestly, it might
be good you do this against the wizards because if you do this Saturday against the heat,
you're going to lose by 25, like that's how poorly the magic played.
The magic were 20 points better than the wizards tonight, or they should have been 20 points
better than the wizards at least, because they defended well in trade and Alex Sarward.
They were contesting shots, they were perfect, they were like their best, they were moving
the ball, there was some energy, there was slow, and then once trade and Sar came out
in that third quarter, and it was just all the end of bench guys, he just kind of felt
this exhale.
And that's the stuff that can't happen.
And that's been the problem all year, like again, like that's the problem all year is
the magic just don't play with the consistent energy and attention to detail.
Now the question is, are they going to be able to flip that back on when they go
to Miami on Saturday?
I would assume so.
I would assume that as an opponent they will get up for, certainly won't be the second
night of a back-to-back, although it'll be the third game in four days.
I would assume that the magic will be a little bit more energized for that game, and that
a little bit more focused after the wavy played in this game.
They know they escaped tonight.
They know that Washington, they left the door open for Washington, Jaylen Sunk said
it after the game.
We got to learn how to put these teams away.
Happening at Stalas, you know, it's happened over and over again with the magic just to let
these teams back into these games.
Happening against Cleveland, honestly, on Wednesday, they let Cleveland get within a possession
to where they needed that Desmond Bain crazy shot.
And so you can look at this game in two ways, like first, like yes, it is a detailed game,
the magic gave up, way too many offensive rebounds, the magic gave up, way too many of these
opportunities.
They left that door wide, wide open for Washington to walk through it.
And look, we've been, we've been through taking seasons before.
Sometimes, it's your night.
Sometimes you have the energy and they don't, and it doesn't matter if the coach is trying
to lose the game or that, you know, you're making decisions to try and lose the game.
That doesn't matter.
That doesn't matter.
Sometimes it's just your night.
You're going to get a win by accident at some point.
These players are too good.
And look again, players do not take coaching staffs take, organizations take, players do
not take.
They play hard.
And these wizards played really hard.
And so it's those games, especially, where you have to be good on the details.
It's those games, especially, that you have to get that right.
And the magic didn't get it right, 14 offensive rebounds for 23 second chance points.
That's what costs in the game and Washington when they lost.
13 turnovers, just a really sloppy game.
Score 21 turnovers off 15 off of 21 points off 15 turnovers, which is nice.
They got 30 assists on 47 few goals.
That's good.
34 from three, they ended up shooting the ball well from three.
But not enough free throws, not enough attacking, not enough aggression.
And when you leave the door open, sometimes you get beat.
But at the end of the day, all the standings care about is that you won.
When by one, when by 20, it all counts the same.
And so the magic got the win that they needed, and we can move on.
A big part of that story, a big part of the story, since you all start break, though,
on a player that deserves some special attention is Tristan D'Solva, the big game from
Tristan D'Solva and what that says about him and his role for the magic coming up here
in just a moment.

Our hero of the game, our MVP, is Tristan De Silva.
He has been, frankly, a revelation, and then he's had these periods throughout the season.
He had a really strong start to the year and was like, oh, this guy could be a sixth
man of the year.
You know, at least Franz Wagner goes down in Palabin, Carotown, went down early.
He stepped into the starting lineup and played exceptionally well, dealt with a little bit
of a shoulder injury through the middle, maybe third of the season.
But since the all-star break, Tristan De Silva has just been on a tear.
If you're looking for a reason why the Orlando Magic have been so good and why the Magic
have found this footing, look no further than Tristan De Silva.
Tonight he had a career best game.
Twenty-six points, ten for eighteen shooting, three for six from three, three for three from
the foul, and seven rebounds, four steals on top of that.
Don't forget about his defense.
It's easy to look at the shooting.
It's easy to look at the scoring, but his defense has been equally as good.
And especially now that Anthony Black is out, Tristan De Silva has slid into the lineup
and been a huge boost because he's someone that just stows his role.
And again, we talk about role players.
It's about starring in your roles, about doing what you're asked to do and doing it really
well.
Tristan De Silva can spread the floors with three point shooter.
He can get down and defend multiple wing positions pretty effectively.
And he's an ace three point shooter when he's off.
Not only that, he has that nice little two dribble pull-up or that two dribble floater.
He gets into the lane and doesn't get all the way to the basket.
He does a good job avoiding shop lockers.
He's just really smart as he attacks and you have to remind yourself that yes, he is
a second year player.
But he has that four years of experience baked up in college.
He's an older, older rookie or an older young player, if that makes sense.
And this is exactly what the magic got him for.
They got him for this basketball sense, this basketball IQ, and this ability to kind
of fit and plug and play anyway.
When the magic get to the playoffs and yes, they will get to the playoffs.
When the magic get to the playoffs, he is going to be a super valuable player.
And that is going to make a difference for the team.
I said this to people yesterday after he hit those big shots and wasn't just one shot.
Those big shots against Cleveland.
On Wednesday, he's going to win the magic of playoff game.
I am convinced he's going to have a game that wins them a playoff game.
And again, we're expecting a 6-7 game series or we hope we'll get a 6-7 game series if
not a sweep or a five game series of the magic's favorite.
But it's, you know, the magic group being a competitive series like whether they win
or not.
It's going to be competitive.
Tristan D'Silva is going to play a humongous role and look, he struggled in last year's
playoffs.
He's going to be expected to do some big things and play a big role for this team.
After the all-star break, we're going to start there.
After the all-star break, Tristan D'Silva scoring and this does not include tonight, which
is again, career night.
He's averaging 12.4 points for game in 30.3 minutes for game.
52.1% from floor, 47.4% from three on 5.2, 3.10% for game, doesn't get to the line
of ton, but 91.7% from line, 5.5 rebounds for game, 2.7 rebounds for game, he does have
a steal per game.
So tonight, four steals, that gets him to 15 and 11 games or 15 and 12 games, so a little
bit more than a steal per game.
This is, for four, all-star break, he was at 8.6 points for game, 42.7% for 36.5% from
three.
He is on a heater right now, and certainly being healthy, not having to deal with the shoulder
injuries, a big factor in that.
But this is a guy that the team trusts, and again, I'm talking about details.
Like today, this game, this moment, this whole playoff chase is about details.
It's about doing those little things that mean you win, rebounding the basketball.
Absolutely huge.
What are the biggest plays in this game?
The magic are up five, less than a minute to play.
They miss a shot.
Tristan is still the digs out the rebound, kicks it back out to Desmond Bain.
Magic are able to burn in other 14 seconds, and again, the wizards are tanking.
They're not trying to win.
But on top of that, like, DeSolvo went shot for shot with Billal Kula-Bolly down the
stretch.
He made some big shots in this game that should have kept the wizards at arm's length,
but the magic kept tripping over themselves.
They found Kula-Bolly on some shots, like Kula-Bolly made some ridiculously tough shots
down the stretch.
I want to give him all the credit, listen to our friends that locked on wizards.
For their recap of his career night, he had 28 points in this game.
I believe 14 of them came in the fourth quarter.
But again, the magic do not win this game without Tristan DeSolvo.
The magic are in deep trouble in general without Tristan DeSolvo.
And so again, it comes down to he's just so good at these details.
He is so good at doing the little things, at being where the magic didn't be, making
these big shots, keeping a calm poise and demeanor.
Like that is so huge in the chaos of a game like this, being able to play well, and honestly,
like I think this says the most about him, he just wants to win.
Like he didn't seem super satisfied with his game tonight because the magic struggled
to win.
He's a big reason why they won.
He said in his post game presser, I only scored five points against Milwaukee, but that
was the most fun I've had in a basketball game because the magic were rollicking and doing
everything right.
Again, the ball is going to find who it needs to find and it found Tristan DeSolvo today
and he stepped up to the play.
Like I said, it's about trust, you know, he asked me about, a lot of people asked me
about why are the magic doing this rotation decision, what are these rotation decisions
and I often say to him, it's about trust, who does the coach trust?
You know, Noah Penn to play over Jonathan Isaac and we'll talk more about the J.I.
thing here in a minute.
Some of it is Noah Penn does earn some trust.
He's defended well.
He played well on Isaac's dead.
They're giving him a chance.
Like I don't think he's play off ready.
I'm a little scared about him in the playoffs.
I don't trust him a ton.
The coaching staff wants to give him a look and give him a chance to earn that trust
and he's done certain things, I think, to earn that trust.
Why don't the magic play like rookie J.I.
Richardson over Javon Carter, it's because the magic trust Javon Carter to be an excellent
defender and be in the right spots, even if he can be a little bit of a chucker.
It's all trust.
Like again, go to the batons, he's a great example of that is all trust.
Tristan DeSolvo has this team's trust and whether he's starting, whether he's coming
off the bench, they know exactly what they're going to get for a bit.
And more often than not, it is his absolute best effort.
It is filling in gaps, doing these details that lead to winning basketball games.
And that's why it feels like he is a winning player and that's why he is going to win the
magic of playoff game.
Like bookmark this now.
He is going to win the magic of playoff game just by going on a ten point scoring
bench in the third quarter of a random game of like game three.
He's going to win the magic of playoff game.
And that's the kind of player you want on your team.
Let's run through the final box score.
We'll talk about Palo.
We'll talk about Des.
We'll talk about Jalen.
We'll talk about the rest of the team coming up here in just a moment.
But first, today's episode of Lockdown Magic is brought to my friends over at five
hour energy.
Welcome to the five hour energy flavor draft with eighteen different flavors to choose
from, including new options, like in Fettie cake, free, free rainbow or con candy, there
is something for everyone.
So the board is set.
The flavors are ready.
And I've got my number one pick for the five hour energy flavor draft.
If you listen to me do these reads, you probably know which one I'm picking because when
I go for these energy drinks, these, these types of drinks, I want something sweet.
I like vanilla.
I'm very vanilla.
I'm wearing my plain white t-shirt.
You know, I'm playing out my character.
I kind of very closely crop or slipped back.
I like vanilla.
I like sweet.
I've got a sweet team.
I don't deny it.
So I go for confetti crates.
Delicious blend of rich buttery, freshly baked confetti cake.
Not too sweet, but smooth vanilla frosting and a sprinkle of sweetness in every sip.
It's like drinking a birthday cake and that is the best flavor because everybody loves
birthday cake.
If I'm going for a fruity flavor, if you can maybe go for a fruity flavor, I typically
go for like grape, like a little sweetness of a grape, con corn grape flavor, similar
to grape juice.
Love that.
It's like drinking a fruit snack.
That's fantastic.
And you get that classic purple candy style finish.
That's what grape is.
No matter what your favorite flavor is, five-hour energy shots give you a boost with
zero sugar.
And I got a lot of fun new flavors coming up.
So stay tuned for that.
Find your new favorite flavor of five-hour energy shots available online at fivehourenergy.com

As we always do, let's run through Final Box.
We'll break this game down and put it away for good one final time.
Hopefully this is a blip in the radar as the magic.
When there's six straight game, and again, we're going to be critical tonight.
We're going to be, we're going to say, we're going to say some hard things like their time
outs.
I thought, well, Mosley should have called.
He definitely left things right.
Like it just, it definitely felt like there was this sense and belief that we are always
going to win this game.
And that the lead is big enough that, you know, our effort is fine enough.
Let's just get out.
Let's get through this and get out of here, especially with the Jonathan Isaac's injury
scare, with the Jalen Sugs injury scares.
It's just like, it felt like everybody just wanted to get out of there.
And once the magic rep by 15 after three quarters, like you could just kind of tell, like again,
the whole game just felt like they were going through the motions.
This the intensity, the attention to detail was not there.
And so credit to the Washington Wizards, like you lead the door open, team's going to find
a way through.
But all cool up holly is a very good player, very nice young player.
Like I'll say this openly.
I really like what the Washington Wizards are building.
I really like the group of young players they have.
I think what they really needed was a star to tie it all together.
And they got two and Trey Young and Anthony Davis.
I'm curious how they'll make Anthony Davis and Alex Sar work, because I really like it.
Alex are a lot.
I like ballall, Kulabali.
I like Bob Carrington.
I like a lot of their young players.
You're just kind of looking for something to tie it together and some direction and structure.
Which again, they don't really have because just they're so young.
And so Trey Young's there now, like we'll see what they look like.
But Trey Young wasn't playing in the fourth quarter.
Alex Sar wasn't playing in the fourth or Anthony Davis didn't play at all.
Trey Johnson didn't play much, didn't play much in the fourth quarter.
Like this was the end of the bench.
The Wizards wanted to lose this game or the coaching staff won the Wizards game.
The players were playing hard.
And the magic just did not match their intensity.
They made mistakes.
And then we'll understand after the game.
Like it's not about Washington and again, this is not to offend Washington.
This is about the magic.
This is always about the magic, their level of execution.
Because this game was always in their control.
As long as they took care of their business.
And frankly, they did not do that for most of this game.
Like I said, the two stars of this game were Tristan De Silva, 26 points,
10 for 18 June, three for six from three, seven rebounds, four steals, two blocks,
had a huge block in the fourth quarter.
And over time, excuse me, on the law, Kulabali finally got him to miss a shot.
Just by blocking it off the window.
That got the magic out on the run.
I think that set up Jalen Suggs for the go ahead three that broke the tie.
Jalen Suggs, he never questioned his effort.
A little out of control at times, but never questioned his effort.
28 points, 10 for 17 shooting, three for eight from three, five for six from the foul line.
Hit some big free throws, four rebounds, eight assists.
That assist number continues to creep up.
He's being a much better distributor, much better decision maker.
Did have three turnovers, did have two steals as well.
Those two guys played their butts off.
And Jalen Suggs had three separate injury scares in this game.
He bumped knees on a screen and was hobbling and was really struggling to get up
and down the court.
He got looked at on the bench, came back in.
And then he rolled his ankle going for a layup or going for something,
was slow to get back in the play after that.
And then in a fourth quarter ball hit this really tough layup over both Palo is over time.
Hit this really tough layup over Palo and Suggs and Suggs landed really hard on his back.
If anybody needed a cold tub after the game, it was Jalen Suggs.
Like I asked him directly like, hey, take some hard falls in this game.
How are you feeling?
He's like, man, I just want to go home.
I want to get the cold tub and go home.
We tried to get him out of there as quickly as we could.
We still got to ask.
We still got to do our jobs and ask our questions.
But again, there's never any questioning Suggs effort.
I thought his intensity was pretty good.
Again, like a little out of control and stretches of this game.
But I thought his intensity was generally very, very good.
And I thought that he brought it.
And again, in the fourth quarter, the Magic's best offense ran through Tristan to Solven Jalen Suggs.
It didn't run through Palo Bancaro because Palo had Palo looked gassed.
Palo just frankly looked tired.
Washington did double him this time.
They didn't single cover him.
The postups weren't there.
Magic's offense just got stagnant when he was out there with him on the ball.
This wasn't moving as quickly.
He moved quickly.
I thought his first half was great.
The second half was really cool.
Palo finishes with 18 points, 10 rebounds, five assists.
So some good things.
I thought he used his gravity really well to set others up.
He probably had more potential assist and more secondary assist than actual assists.
10 rebounds like he was good on the glass.
But four for 13 shooting, 0 for two from three.
I thought he settled a lot, especially as the game went on.
First play of overtime, he made a great move to get to the basket.
I was like, okay, Palo's back.
He's kind of doing this thing again.
He settled a lot for jumpers that he didn't need to take.
He got pushed off his spot away from the block, away from kind of his good kill spots,
where he could move quickly, get to the basket instead of having to face up and do dribble
moves and let the defense load up against him.
Again, generally, he's making good decisions.
There's a few times where doubles caught him off guard.
But generally, he's making good decisions to move the ball.
It's just the ball's got to keep moving.
And that's where I think the magic really struggled in that fourth quarter is the ball
just stagnated.
It's sat in his hands for a little bit.
He was waiting for something to happen.
And that's a sure sign of fatigue.
That is a sure sign that the team isn't activating at the energy that they need to activate
at.
And so, can we say this was a game of fatigue?
Sure.
We absolutely can.
Back to back, emotional game last night against Cleveland, but not an excuse.
Still got to do the job.
Still got to do well.
I got to run or shot the ball well from three.
Three three exercises over, three three from Jalen Suggs, two from Wendell Carter, which
is a nice treat, two from Desmond Bay News, two for five, two from Jet Howard, also really
good, two from Jalen Carter.
So the magic got there, three's up, 15 for 34.
That's probably about the number of the magic we're looking to get, 15, three's on 35 attempts.
That'll do the job most nights.
And so I think Orlando did some good things on that front.
Let's move on to Wendell Carter.
I love Wendell Carter's game.
I thought he played really well.
8 for 13 shooting, two for three from three, 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals, two
blocks, like super active.
Like Alex R, you know, it was just big and big centers, 10 to bug, Wendell Carter, because
he's not super big.
Still held his ground well.
I thought he defended the perimeter well when he got switched on the perimeter.
Magic just weren't as sharp with their switching, which led to some of the offensive rebounds.
But I thought Dell was a big presence inside, made a couple jumpers, made a jumper early
that really set the tone for the game that helped the magic really get out to their
lead.
And frankly, getting away from Palo, Wendell stuff, getting away from setting Dell up,
like Washington went small.
And for some reason Orlando did not keep Wendell Carter in the game to play like Anthony
Gill.
I am not sure why like what kind of Wendell played 33 minutes, maybe they're trying
to watch his minutes a little bit, you know, Palo, Palo played 40, Tristan played 40,
like you got to take five off for the overtime.
But Wendell Carter, I thought played really, really well and I do think the magic should
have leaned on him a little bit more like this wasn't a game to lean on the stars.
Desmond Bain was 22 points, 7 for 14 shooting, 6 for 6 from the four, 6 assists, did F5
fouls, had three steals.
Bain did a lot of Bain things, able to get downhill to the basket, finish around the
rim.
Got his shot going, especially in that second half, like he just wasn't carrying the offense
as much.
They went to Palo to carry the offense, which clear wasn't his night to do that.
And like that's a benefit of having a Desmond Bain or having a Franz Hager out there
is like if Palo doesn't have it, play him off the ball, use him as a screener, use him
in motion a little bit more and less as the initiator, he got other guys that can initiate.
And I think that was one of the struggles this team had is in the fourth quarter, they're
trying to play through Palo, they're trying to set him up the poster, trying to kind of
force feed him the ball.
And that just slowed and gummed everything up and on top of that, he wasn't shooting
the ball particularly well.
Now I get it.
He creates a lot of gravity.
If you can get to the middle of the paint, defense going to collapse around him, you're
going to get open shots and he was passing the ball really, really well.
Other guys had to go in and I think that's where ball should gone.
And if that would happen, maybe we wouldn't be talking about an overtime one, we'd just
be talking about a regular, nice win, and a professional win instead of a, you know,
it should have been a blowout win, but a professional one would have been fine.
Instead, we got this nail bite or overtime win when magic makes tons of mistakes.
Off the bench, Jett Howard continues to play really well, 10 points, three for each
shooting, two misses on dunks by the way, two for three from three.
Six rebounds, two assists, just playing really well, like, like, this is the best stretch
of basketball in his career.
He is making threes, which obviously helps, but his effort on defense is a lot better.
He will still make mistakes.
He's still a little bit off in rotation, maybe a half step off and step off in rotation.
And he's going to get attacked in the playoffs, like teams are going to test him.
But more and more, he is contributing more positive than negative.
Like, he has earned trust.
He has earned a spot in the rotation, and we should all be very happy for him on that.
We should all think that, oh, like, this is the straight for him.
Obviously, this contract situation in the summer, but Jett, Jett's playing,
Jett is contributing a lot to this team, and I'm really excited for that.
Noah Penda, no, it didn't score.
Did some nice things defensively, got beat a few times.
Like, not his best game, again, just just not the best stuff from Noah.
He needs to do, he needs to make his living like his role, is do the journey work.
Rebounds, steels, blocks, defense.
He does all that.
He's going to be fine.
And his rebounding can come and go.
Like, I've said this a while, he's a rookie.
He looks like a rookie.
He's either everything's amazing and everything's perfect or nothing's amazing.
Nothing's perfect.
And it's very rare there's any in between.
Like, this was a game that was closer to you.
He doesn't have it.
Like, he's struggling out there and again, like, you're going to pay for that.
Gogabatadze made a cameo.
Jonathan Isaac made a one minute, 25 second cameo.
Again, Washington went small.
I think Orlando was trying to watch some minutes and try and get
steal some guys some rest.
They were up big.
So they're trying to kind of keep some players on the bench a little bit longer.
Then hopefully not go back to the starters in the fourth quarter.
If they could help it, they weren't up by that much.
And obviously, then Washington made their run.
But Jonathan Isaac took a really nasty fall palo.
Palo through a lob, Tim was a great lob.
Isaac missed the dunk, came down and just immediately collapsed.
And obviously, everyone's scared when that happens.
And Isaac was holding his left knee.
He did get up after a little bit, walked the locker room under his own power.
We saw him in the locker room.
He declined to talk to the media.
We saw him in the locker room.
Officially diagnosed with the left knee sprained.
He'll probably be out for a little bit.
But it does, you know, he'll be further evaluated.
But it does seem like he avoided some really scary injury and a really scary thing.
Obviously, we're always deeply concerned when Jonathan Isaac does anything with his left knee.
But just really unlucky and really unfortunate that that happened.
And it did take a lot out of the magic.
Like, I do think there is something to it that that, especially because it's Jonathan Isaac.
And like, you could say what you want about Jonathan Isaac as a player.
As a person, everyone on that team respects him.
And everyone on that team knows how hard he has worked to get back onto this court.
He is beloved by his teammates.
This is a really close group.
And nobody, nobody wanted to see Jonathan Isaac have to deal with all the things that he's dealt with again.
So I think some good news for Jonathan Isaac or, you know, not good news because he's me hurt.
He's hurt. He's me off for a little bit.
But good news that it's not something more serious.
At the end of the day, it's a win.
We're going to, we're going to put this, we're going to put this away.
And it starts playing music here in the key center.
We're going to put this show away as well.
The Orlando Magic defeat the Washing Wizards, 136 to 131.
And over time, they have won six straight games.
We're moving on to Miami for the big game of the century of the week.
In Miami against Miami Heat with fifth in the Eastern Conference on the line.
The magic of already won the season series.
They are one game ahead in the lost column, which is what matters.
And that'll be that.
