4:02I read your newsletter and it's very impactful. And not just for me, for my little group of friends that I have. Well, thank you, Mark. So how can I help you? Well, I've got a small boat with room for about a 27 inch TV. And I'm trying to set up a simple, underscore that simple entertainment system on board. And what I'm really looking for is a low cost because I've got a boat and reliable set up because of course it's on a boat. And it shouldn't depend on any cable or any self service. So I'd love to hear your ideas. So first, let's talk about boats. Oh my God. I had no idea that every time you go on your boat, something breaks. It is. And it's like, so I now that I've had a boat for a couple of years, it's just expected. You know, it's something's broken.

5:03Oh, it is. It's just something just, oh, it doesn't always work. I had a buddy who used to say, I would have been better off. I just put $10,000 in my driveway and set it on fire. Okay. So now do you live a board? I know. Okay. I have, I'm lucky enough to have a house with a dog behind it. So that's what I love about. That's good. That's a great thing. You watch it breaking in real time. That's cool. So I assume you've probably tried something. Have you? Yes, I have. So I'm in the Amazon environment. So I have an Amazon stick. I've got an Amazon tie. Sorry, Amazon fire stick. Amazon fire tablet and with Amazon, you also get prime. And I have Netflix. So the ability to try to do some type of casting. I also went ahead and bought from one of the little box stores, a projector to be able to see if I could project something

6:06and something inside. But so far nothing has worked. I can't cast any of those mirroring little apps for your phone. Oh, yeah, they don't know. They're awful. They're awful. They don't work. Oh my God. They are so scammy and bad. So, yeah. So I tried to follow the process under prime, had a cast from prime. And so I met a standstill. I can't get anything to work in my house, which should then I could duplicate that on board. The hopefully on board. Well, you don't have a cellular internet connection on the boat. Not when you're off on the island, as Kim knows. We have some islands about 13 miles away. So we could spend a weekend over there. And it's nice to go ahead and evening with some kind of entertainment. A DVD player. Yeah. Yeah. And yeah, so now I'm going all of the yard sales for DVDs. Yeah.

7:06You know, I was kind of joking, but I mean, you can download movies on Netflix. And then you'd be able to, as you say, you could cast them from your laptop or your phone directly to the TV. The laptop would be better because you could split the monitor. Yeah. And you're not worrying about casting. You're actually hardwiring it. That's true. So you get a much better quality picture, especially if you're making it the size of 27 inches or whatever TV you're putting in there. But I went over to the islands last weekend. It's just beautiful over there, the Channel Islands. And hung out there. We went in some caves and it's just, you know, a wild experience like, so we were going in this, we took the dinghy and we went, I don't know if you've ever done this, Mark, there's some caves on Santa Cruz Island. It's called a painted cave. Oh, yes. You know what I'm talking about? You go way in the back and the seals are like, you know, telling you to get out. Okay. Who needs entertainment? I know, but I'm sitting there on the thing in like, and my friend who was driving the dinghy,

8:06he's a paramedic, which makes me feel good and he's anything ever happens. But I was thinking like, I'm like, David, what if one of these seals like, decides to like jump in the boat because they do that? And he's like, we're screwed. I'm like, okay, great. He got the boat confidence. You know, if you want internet on the islands, the really only choice that you have a starlink. Yes. And I wasn't thinking internet at all. I was still thinking just like he said, download to your tablet and then cast from your tablet. But so far, I have not been able to go ahead and make any of that casting or any of that connection from a tablet. Well, I think, but I think interest suggestion of just hardwiring using the HDMI port and USB port on the laptop. And just hardwired that directly, then that would be the easiest way because then on your input selection, you would have laptop right there. And then you're not casting, you're not doing anything. And the video quality is going to be so much better. I actually used to use a 56 inch television as a monitor.

9:08And I would, you know, open up Netflix, expand it to the full screen and the video quality is still pretty good. So what do you think, Mark, good? I think that I'm going to try to get a little, I think it's a USB C cable, because that's what comes out. And on, I have a DVD output, you know, sorry, HDMI cable output on my laptop. I just looked over and saw. Oh, nice. So there you go. So I think that, yeah, I guess that's going to be the next thing. We're talking about now smooth streaming. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
