Djene  Bajalan is a historian of the Middle East specializing in the rise of nationalism and the evolution of the Kurdish question. He is an associate professor at Missouri State University, the co-host of This is Revolution and a co-host of Gaming Materialists. He also sometimes writes for Jacobin.  He discusses the Kurdish perspective on recent protests in Iran.   We also mention his article at  Jacobin here.
