BMO! Hey everybody, it's Thursday, September 10th, 2026. I'm Allison Gil, and this is Beanstalk. All right everybody, I have it for you. Here's Federman at the Republican midterm convention via video introducing Republican Senator Dave McCormick. Watch. The big remove of Republicans in Dallas. Yes, I'm Senator Jack Federman, Pennsylvania. Yes, I'm a Democrat. Why am I here talking to you today? Because, well, I'm a comment-sense Democrat. I'm always gonna stand with America. I'm always gonna reject the extremes and socialism in that anti-American way of life. Dave McCormick is the kind of senator that gets the job done. And he's going to fight for Pennsylvania. I'm proud to count him as my friend.

Right back over my shoulder, that's the iconic U.S. steel mill. And that's exactly the kind of thing that will work together and will work with President Trump to fight and defend the steel way of life right here in the steel valley. I have this opportunity to introduce this great American, a great senator. Yes, he is in a different party. What I'm proud to count him as my great friend. So for everybody in Dallas, I'm here to introduce Dave McCormick. Ah, saying he's going to work with Trump and Republicans, real Americans, we're gonna support U.S. steel right behind me over here. Oh, okay. By busting unions. Through the cunning use of tariffs. Is that how you're gonna support U.S. steel? What an idiot. You guys, we absolutely have to, it was flipped four Senate seats in the midterms and hang on to the two that we have in Georgia and Michigan. Now we have to flip five. We have to make up for this guy.

The only way to neutralize John Federman is by flipping five seats in November and holding on to Michigan and Georgia. Because you can't impeach him. You can't recall a senator. You can expel him, but you need two thirds of a vote in the Senate and that's not happening. He's there until 2028 unless he resigns. So you can call him and tell him to resign. I don't think he will, but he could switch parties. I mean, he's appearing at the Republican midterm convention. So anyway, that's your mission. Should you choose to accept it? Flip five Senate seats midterm elections. All right, let's go from an idiot to a liar. Donald Trump spoke yesterday and told a horrific lie, just an egregious lie about how he and a bunch of workers went down and the 9-11 to the ground zero to help with the first responders and how some couple of big New York firefighters carried him away from a US steel building that was about to collapse in Lower Manhattan.

And this lie was so egregious and so brazen that there was a swift and immediate backlash, like pretty swift. But first of all, here's a clip of part of the lie. Let's watch. I'm a doctor and no terror can destroy. For three months after September 11, the flames raged in the rubble of ground zero for nine months' rescue and recovery crews work day and night on the site. I want to just thank my people. I took a lot of my, I was building a big building in New York and I took the whole crew down there right after this happened and they were, they had no hesitation. Everybody went down with me. Everybody went down as a big group of people. Wasn't too much we could do. I'll be honest. It was, it was raw and nobody seen anything like it ever. We had other buildings, United States steel building was creaking really creaking and we thought it was going to fall down. The truth is it creaked a lot. It creaked. It still creaks.

But it never came down and I never forget too fireman. We thought it was coming down on top of us and too fireman. Big strong guys and I'm not the smallest guy in the world. They grabbed me under the arm and said, gotta get out of here and they literally lifted me up. This is not easy to do. I'm big. They lifted me up and they started running with me. I said, fellas, I can run myself. But they were amazing but they thought it was coming down. It didn't come down. US steel. Oh, okay. You went down to help. This guy is saying he brought hundreds of workers to New York City's ground zero to aid in recovery efforts. This guy, the helper. Sure Jan. I can't believe you're so weird. You don't say anything all day and then when you open your mouth, you unload all these tremendous lies all over me. Now the backlash, like I said, was fierce. It was so fierce that Trump's nephew, Fred Trump III, who rarely, if ever, speaks about

his uncle politics, he took to Twitter and just blue holes in Donald's story. Look at this. There are two reports out today that relate to the tragedy of 9-11. I will comment on them today because doing so on the 25th anniversary this Friday would take away from the solemn memories. I try not to comment personally about my uncle but his claim that he brought a crew of workers to help at the site so offends me that I need to speak out. He was not building a big building at the time. The only crew he claimed to bring to the site would have been secretarial in accounting employees from Trump Tower. And I knew many of them and pretty sure they were not capable physically to help if they could, I'm sure they would try. Regarding the U.S. steel building, ironically, the grandfather of the very close friend of mine was one of the original engineers. The building was built strong. Second, the brother of a partner of mine was an engineer that was immediately called to perform an inspection. While people were originally concerned, it was eventually cleared for occupancy, not

creaking and ready to fall. I hope this brings some truth to the story. The second story will follow. Now, the second story was Rudy Giuliani's efforts to keep mum Donnie away from the ceremony tomorrow. It was racist tirade against him and Muslims everywhere for that matter, which we've covered on the Daily Beans podcast along with the 170,000 pages of city communications and documents proving Rudy Giuliani lied to the public about the air quality after 9-11, saying that it was safe. They were lied to. Now, fortunately, fortunately, thanks to mum Donnie, that paperwork is going to help many of the people who were impacted get their claims adjudicated. Of course, it's 25 years later, though. And so after all this backlash and everything, of course, Trump had Natalie Harp type up a

screed for him over on True Social. Natalie Harp, by the way, who he's given $45,000 in cash gifts to, stormy got $130,000. But I guess Michael Cohen wasn't willing to take out another mortgage on his house to pay Natalie Harp for Trump. But of course, he had heard of Trump had her type up this insane screed on True Social. Look, now, look, we're not reading all that. I ain't reading all that. I'm happy for you, though, or sorry that happened. But he's basically in that thing. He's doubling down with an irrelevant video of him in Manhattan with Matthew Calamari. No sign of large firemen or hundreds of workers helping first responders at ground zero. Now, meanwhile, Mayor Mamdoni is helping out at the 9-11 day of service at the Intrepid Museum in memory of the first responders who rushed into the fire and civilians who gave their time and expertise and neighbors, he says, who cooked meals and checked in on one another.

That's leadership. That's who should be at the ceremony at the Memorial on Friday. All right, everybody. I'll be here tomorrow to bring you the news, both here and on the Daily Beans podcast, where I'll be joined by John Fuegel saying, your moment today comes from Reddit. It's a Reddit post. Enjoy some duckies and puppies, because fuck, man. Thank you. Thank you, Reddit user. I needed that. Ah, duckies and puppies.

Hell yeah. All right, everybody. I'll see you tomorrow. Thanks so much for watching. I'm Allison Gill. That was Beans Talk. Thanks for visiting our yoga class. Tap when you're ready. What just happened? It's my new BMO LAFC debit mastercard. Every time I use it, it taps me into the game. Okay. Maybe don't do it again. Ooh, these socks are nice. I'm going to go ahead and...
