Small businesses are the backbone of the American economy. They fill the needs that some of the larger businesses can’t meet, offering niche products or services in remote locations. These smaller shops can operate in less populated areas making them more attractive to criminals who are looking for a quick score. Many small businesses do their best to provide security to their employees using cameras and security systems, but at the end of the day, employees are told to just hand over the cash in the event of a robbery. Sometimes though, the employee is what is stolen.
