Dr Nick Detrick is a Physical Therapist, US Air Force Reservist and the founder of Tactical Athlete Performance & Physical Therapy Specialists. We discuss his journey into medicine, injury screening in the tactical professions, rehab, fitness standards, working with elite units, the power of sleep and so much more.

Nick has a history working in collegiate athletics as a student athletic trainer with the University of Southern California. Having a passion for “Serving Those Who Serve” Nick joined the US Air Force after PT school, serving as an active duty physical therapist before transitioning to the reserves, now working with the Special Warfare Human Performance Squadron in San Antonio, TX.

In his civilian life, he works as the Health & Wellness Coordinator for the City of Sacramento Fire Department and also runs his private practice, Tactical Athlete Performance, providing physical therapy, injury prevention, and performance services for athletes across the lifespan.
