Draft Dynasty Podcast: 2026 Preseason Rookie Review, Teams 23-32

So you might hear some bits and pieces from that game, but we're going to dive into the final episode of our preseason rookie review. Games have

1:05started in the NFL and we're going to hit one of the teams that's playing tonight as a part of this show, but wrapping that up so we can get into some more in-season content as we go and Andrew looking forward to it. I'm looking forward to it as always. Always fun talking football, especially now that we can like mix what's already happened with what has happened in the past with this draft topic. That's right. Absolutely. This one's going to be a little bit more interesting than maybe the first two. There were some trades that we had to deal with in the first two sets of this series, but this is kind of brutal actually. I had to do some real digging here to make sure I got every team. So there's like five teams in this set of 10 that did not actually pick in the first round. And we already talked about the teams that did actually make selections and they're draft. So we're going to be plugging in those squads that we have not talked about yet who did not make a first round pick this year as part of this conversation. And those teams are the Packers, the Jaguars,

2:13the Niners, the Bills, the Broncos, and the Colts. So a solid group of teams here that did not make a selection in the first round of the 2026 NFL draft, but no less worthy of being talked about. And let's start out. Andrew with the Green Bay Packers, an interesting draft class. They had six picks starting with their second rounder in pick number 52. They took cornerback Brandon Cise of South Carolina in round three, pick 77. It was defensive tackle. Chris McClellan on a Missouri in round four. They got the edge rusher out of Penn State, Denise Sutton at 120 overall at 150 overall or excuse me, 150, three overall. It was center, Yeager Burton out of Kentucky, cornerback, Demani Jackson out of Alabama goes in round six at 201. And then the final pick of round six for the Packers at 216 was Kicker Trace Mack out of Florida. So let's talk about this draft. Andrew give me your post preseason

3:15grade here as we've seen some of these guys in action. And then we'll talk about a couple players. The be excited about moving into the season. I'm going to give it a beam minus. I didn't love the draft to be quite honest, but I what really made this draft a potential home run would be denied in a Sutton in the fourth round when they got him there. We saw him use one of the few guys who was incredibly productive in college, but they were concerns about his stiffness and what not. We'll see if he can kind of work that out as time goes on, but not only that, he tested phenomenally well, also athletically. So he checked a lot of boxes during the pre draft process, which is a surprise to see how far he ended up falling because many people thought he could go as high as the second round, mid second round. I think I even saw a couple mocked chefs that had him sneaking into the late first at one point in time. So it was a surprise to see him fall as low as he did, but I think he's a great fit for what Green Bay wants to do up front with Jonathan Ganon there as well. I think it's a great fit, a longer, bigger-bodied ed rusher that he can move around. And CSA has got a bunch of talent. It's just consistency with him. And I think that's a big concern for the Packers in general. It was a

4:17need position for sure. They needed to address it, but I don't know that he's a guy that's kind of step in and be a stud in year one. And that's really, if they're going to be the leaders in this division, they need a true number one corner. They've got Carrington Valentine there who played really well last year, but there's not that much else behind him. Keesha Nixon is incredibly inconsistent, outside special teams. So he needs to be able to step in early. If he does, this is a win. If not, we'll see what happens. I do think Demani Jackson was also an intriguing pick in the sixth. Absolutely. And by the sounds of it, the Packers are pretty excited about CSA. They like how physically he is, but there are going to be some growing pains there as there are with any young corner. I just look at, like you said, the need, the fit and the player. And I think that it's going to work out for them to a degree even in his rookie season. So I guess he's the one that I'm most excited to watch this year because he might be the most impactful player that they will have added this off season, at least definitely through the draft early. So he's the guy I'm watching.

5:19Anybody else, I guess, that like this season, do you think like Demani Jackson is going to rotate in as a guy that's going to be a big, important piece for them? Or is he kind of just a developmental guy for them? I think he's going to have an impact on special teams for sure. We'll see what he has. He has the ability to move inside or outside. I see more as an outside guy in the NFL. And if Keesha Nixon struggles again this year in terms of consistency, I think there is a chance he does see some outside. I mean, you even mentioned Trace Mac. I mean, he's got a chance to, I mean, he looked really good in the preseason. He wasn't great in practices from the sounds of it, but during the games, he was phenomenal. So we'll see how it translates through the regular season. That we will. Let's move on to the 24th team. And that will be the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Cleveland Browns actually picked in this spot. And they took Casey Concepcion. And that was part of the Travis Hunter trade from last year. So Jacksonville did not have a first round pick, but in round two,

6:19they took, they were one of the teams in on the tight end fest. That was the 26, 2026 NFL draft. And they took Nate Borkerture out of Texas A&M at pick 56. They had three third round picks. The first was defensive tackle Albert Regis out of Texas A&M. The second was Guard Emmanuel Pregnon out of Oregon. And the third was safety Jalen Husky out of Maryland. A fourth round pick, Edge Wesley Williams out of Duke. And round five, they had tight end Tanner Cosiel out of Houston. I'm never said his name right. I don't think the whole time. We were been talking about this draft, but two six round picks. Wide receiver Josh Cameron out of Baylor, wide receiver CJA Williams out of Stanford. And then two seventh rounders, Edge Zach Durphy out of Washington and Landbacker Parker Hughes out of middle Tennessee. Andrew, your post preseason grade for the Jacksonville Jaguars draft class. This may have been the most underwhelming class on paper of any to look at. I am I'm giving this one a D. I did not like the philosophy. I mean, you talk about the needs

7:22that this team had, especially along the interior of the defensive line. They could have used some depth at pass rusher behind the stars they have on it's at starter there. And really anywhere else along the defense. I mean, they got they end up going out and getting Albert Regis. But there were some other guys that were available at in the second round. I thought would have been at least a little bit better in terms of coming in and being able to make that immediate impact. Regis was really good last year for Texas A&M. But I see him as more of a niche type player. And then specific scheme. I just don't know how he's going to fit there. Borker, sure. I that picked surprise me. I did not like him during the pre draft process. He is okay sustaining blocks, but he lacked significant power. He's not the fastest guy in the world. And we're talking about a guy only had 19 catches last year. And he's I mean, I trust Liam Cohen. But I do not know how I feel about this pick. I did not I thought it was a huge reach in the second round and just going down the board. It's a lot of projects. Not a whole lot of prospects. I think pregnant is the only guy that I think I would bank on having an impact in year one. Besides that, it was it was kind of rough.

8:27Yeah. And of their drafted guys, Duffy and Parker Hughes are on injured reserve. They didn't make the initial roster because of that, I guess you would say. But they did keep nine total draft picks on the active roster, including or I'm sorry, eight draft picks and an undrafted player in Brian Thomas Jr. Another Brian Thomas. This is an edge defender though. And he he's a rookie undrafted free agent. But they're going to develop some of these guys. I think when you look at Pregnon, you know, he's obviously slated to start at left guard for them over Daniel Falele, which that's that's a good thing, right? You don't want Daniel Falele probably being your your week one starter for a team with big aspirations this season after a huge year last year. But otherwise, I don't know how much they're going to have to rely on their rookie class this year. So maybe they could afford to be developmental. But I do think or take a developmental approach.

9:28But Borkerture, I think, is going to play a lot for them alongside Pregnon as kind of their, I don't know, like their AJ Barner type. If you will, where he's doing a little bit of both in the block game and the run game and the past game as well, maybe to a lesser degree as a rookie. But definitely part of the trend. And I think the biggest impact here will be that Borkerture can play in line and let Breton Strange split out into the slot where he's a little bit better as a field stretcher. And instead of a people mover, tight end, if you will. I would agree with that. All right, let's move on to the Chicago Bears who actually are the first team that actually made a pick from this group that we're talking about here in the first round. They were the NFC North theme to take Dylan Theanaman in the first round. Not the one we all thought and you're not the Vikings. They didn't land them. But at 25 overall, the Chicago Bears took safety Dylan Theanaman

10:29out of Oregon in round two. They took one of those centers. We talked a lot about Logan Jones out of Iowa in round three, two third round picks. It was Titan Sam Rausch out of Stanford and Ydris Xavier Thomas out of LSU who had a pretty good preseason. And then you had in round four, cornerback Malik Muhammad. In round five, you had Keeshawn Elliott, the linebacker out of Arizona State. In round six, it was Jordan Vandenberg. Vandenberg, excuse me, defensive tackle out of Georgia Tech. I kind of liked this draft class for the Bears. Even though their defense, I think, is going to be maybe an issue this year. I think Dylan Theanaman's a nice pick for what that defense is going to need this year, especially after the injury, too. Was it, was it, um, cook that got hurt? I can't, yeah, I can't remember exactly who it was for them that got hurt. But grade the Strathwormy Andrew. Yeah, Kobe Bryant, I know. Kobe Bryant, that's who it is. Yeah. Yeah, not Brian Cook. Kobe Bryant. Yeah, Kobe Bryant. I think that overall, I would give it a B.

11:34The only reason I don't give it higher is because in my opinion, the biggest position of need they had was Ed rusher and their second highest need was defensive tackle. And they did not address either until the seventh round or the sixth round. I'm sorry, excuse me. Their last pick was defensive tackle. I do like the Logan Jones pick a lot. I think that he's an instant impact player for them up front. However, they try to get him involved. And honestly, I did not hit the same rush pick. A lot of people were hating on that. I know you were a big fan of Raus, the redraft process. Cole, Matt's contract is up at the end of this year. And as much as I love Cole, Matt, and I think he's a good football player, you don't want him, you don't want to be paying him too much money as the number two tight end on that roster. But I do think there's a purpose for having a tight end to. And I think Raus can definitely be that in this offense. And I thought Zabian Thomas was a huge reach as well. But I do trust Ben Johnson enough to think that he is going to find some value for him, whether it be on special teams or on the field. Yeah, Raus was underwhelming in the preseason based on reports. But I do think that he's the kind of guy that

12:37you squeeze in right on a Bears team that likes to use the tight ends under Ben Johnson. And he's athletic enough to be a guy that could make good use that you can make good use of down the road. The interesting thing about the Bears, they kept three undrafted free agents on the active roster, Jaden Loving, Skyler Thomas, a safety and then Bo Gardner. And right now Skyler Thomas is their immediate backup free safety because of how many injuries they've had in the secondary and the loss of Kobe Bryant. So I think if there's anything that we're going to see is we're going to see these young defenders that they drafted the corners and safeties, they're going to play a lot pretty early. And it's going to make or break that defense to a degree. So those are important players to watch. Yeah, it's going to be for sure. And I'm a, I'm a homie. It's point. I mean, we talked about him during the draft process. The guy who stock was rising because of not only the athleticism he possessed, but his ability to get physical on the outside. He can move inside. There's a lot you can

13:40do with him, especially in man coverage, which I think you might see a little bit more of this year from Chicago, just based on the personnel they now have on the outside. And it looks like he's going to be the primary backup nickel defender right now. So again, the definitely got a guy that can be moved around a lot like Dailin Everett for the Pittsburgh Steelers that we talked about, a lot in the lead up to and the actual results of that draft as well. So let's move on to the Houston Texans who also made a first round pick. Their first round pick was Keelan Rutledge, guard out of Georgia Tech at pick 26 overall in round two. They had two second rounders. They took Katie McDonald defensive tackle out of Ohio State and Marlin Klein tied in out of Michigan. They got the game rivalry going on there in the second round in round four or two more picks, guard Fibetic in Weiwu. I'm going to say that's how you say it. And also they took Wade Woodaz out

14:43of Clemson in round five. They took safety. Camarri Ramsey out of USC round six. White receiver Lewis Bond out of Boston College and then round seven linebacker Aiden Fisher out of Indiana, one of the leaders on that Indiana defense that won a national championship this last year. You're overall grade for the Houston Texans post preseason action. This was such a Texans draft from the standpoint of they really grew all the measurables aside. Like we don't care. We're just going to find guys that fit what we do. And they'll probably turn out to be way better than what I thought. I'm paper teal and religious a little bit of a reach. I thought he was a very good prospect, but I did have a second round grade on him. I thought first was a little rich form, but they needed help up front desperately. So I credit them for focusing on that. Marlin Klein is a Michigan fan. Fun player to watch, but second round was way too high for him. I think I had a sixth round grade on him or something like that. There's just a lot of these sidens won't wait to early in my opinion this year. Wood as an intriguing prospect, he had a good pro day. And I do think kind of the sleeper in this would be Kamari Ramsey. I know he did not test

15:48near as well as what I thought, but there's a lot of guys they have in that secondary right now who didn't necessarily test the greatest, but it become really, really good players. IE Kamari last or some other guys that they already have there. So it would not shock me at all if Ramsey is the next guy in line who just has a phenomenal career despite not having the greatest testing results. Yep, I like it. I think the guy that we have to focus on is Keel and Rutledge because he's going to start for them this year for an offensive line. That was, has been bad probably the last three years. And or two at least, it's been nearly unsurvivable and then the third one wasn't great. So he's going to be relied on right away. And for a team that I think has a super bowl defense, if the offense can put together anything meaningful from a like being fairly explosive and an overall consistent, they need the offensive line to improve and Keel and Rutledge will be a huge

16:50part of that. And you talk about a guy that fits the mold of Texans, right? It's big physical punch in the mouth type player. They're trying to bring that to the offense a little bit here. And Rutledge is that type of guy. Yeah, he is. He's got a mean streak in him too. And it's going to help out the run game too because there were times last year when the running game would just stall a little bit in this offense. And now having Dave and Montgomery there adds just reaffirms the power running style that they can have. And this is a great fit for a guy who's just going to go north and south and there's just absolutely going to try to bully defenders. He absolutely will. And right now we're going to take a pause. 19:52dougar Louisiana an offensive tackle and reek and reek a cruise out of Kansas and you're giving me your post preseason grade for this group that the Niners selected it's definitely going to be better than what I would have given it at right after the draft I think this is improved a lot I'm going to give this one a B plus for now I would have probably struggled to give it a C when it comes to draft time but looking at how quickly does on tripling has already proven to be and the fact that they just can't seem to find a way to get him off the field partially because of injuries but also just because he has played so well during camp and the preseason we'll see how he does during the season itself but he's he's got a lot of talent the talent was never denied but he was just kind of one of those guys that fell through the cracks it's like oh yeah he's just one of those guys he's not pro ready whatever but sure enough he's one of the guys who might produce quicker than anybody else because of the opportunity he has and Ramello Heights going to have some opportunities as well they're if they move them around I could see him playing some

20:54Sam in their defense as well as playing a little bit on the edge and you know sub package defense and even Kaylon Black everyone thought this is a huge reach over here I know he's not maybe the most exciting prospect of running back but you talk about a guy who is just flat out consistent as a runner I think that he's going to be a really good backup to Christian McAfry I love me some Isaac Gorendo but he cannot stay healthy for the life of him and I don't trust Jordan James so I think that this is his job going forward to be the backup to Christian McAfry and in fantasy don't think he's a bad handcuff especially if you have CMC absolutely he's a great handcuff honestly and we know that Shanahan can get those guys involved in if they're needed so I think that he's a great pick from that perspective Grayson Holton is playing as their starting defensive tackle in this game I want to their starting defensive tackles so you're going to see a lot of him this year and I think that I would say for a defense that likes to get after teams a certain way right it starts

21:57up front with them starts with Nick Bose that starts with stopping the run on a defensive tackle they're doing a good job here against the Rams so far on making things uncomfortable for Stafford and shutting down Corum and Kyron Williams so far Holton's a big deal and he was he was getting a lot of hype coming out of training camp in preseason and we'll see how quickly he can live up to there in San Francisco it should be an improved defense I think on last year's group which by the end just could not do anything because of all the injuries they had sustained hopefully they stay a little bit healthier losing Alfred Collins for the year is a big time bummer for San Francisco but you have a guy in Grayson Holton who can kind of step in and hopefully mitigate that loss to a degree so a couple guys that I like there we'll see what Priceock can do at corner right now he's the back up corner back on the right side it looks like according to too deep so we'll see how that plays

23:02out but interesting tool set obviously in the draft and a guy that like if you're going to play the developmental card you can do worse than that type of skill set and toolsy type athlete so all right let's move on to the New England Patriots who did make a first round pick in the 2026 NFL draft at pick 28 they selected offensive tackle Caleb Lomu out of Utah in round two edge Gabe Ocus out of Illinois in round three Eli Raredin who scored the first touchdown of the season of the 2026 NFL season for the Patriots yesterday in their loss to the Seattle Seahawks Eli Raredin Notre Dame tight end in round five they took Karen Prenty corner back out of wait forrest they had two six round picks the matrius crown over out of Texas A&M the offensive tackle and then linebacker Namdi Obeyz or out of TCU three seventh rounders to be Baron Morton out of

24:05Texas Tech running back Jam Miller out of Alabama and then edge Quintavius Hutchins out of Boston college Andrew your post preseason grade for the New England Patriots is I'm gonna say a B- I did not like their day three a whole lot at all I thought Quintavius Hutchins was a decent pick in the seventh he's an upside play Jam Miller was not really my favorite running back just because despite all the talent around him he was never the most efficient back in college but I do like their first three picks Raredin I thought was a very underrated tight end and and use what the guys I was really high on so I thought he got drafted a good spot Ackas looks like a guy after that first game he looks he looks good yeah so and that's exactly what they needed so and you look at Lomo on the offensive side of the ball I mean the trenches were where they needed to improve they they I believe they got stronger at both spots it might take a while to see what happened with Lomo he's a little soft at times but if he can become a lot more consistent as a run defender I think that

25:05there's there's a lot of upside there where I know how good he is as a pass protector and as they try to move him around and find his niche on the offensive line I think that he's gonna develop a lot especially in this first year might be some growing pains but I think when we look at where the draft is that now compared to where it was at draft time I've got to give it at least a slight bump from where it was primarily because of Ackas the good news is that they don't have to rush it with Lomo because you've got Morgan Moses there plan plan as the starter and while that's limiting because of his age and the fact that he has declined a little bit in the last few years right now it's no pressure to rush the young guy in and make him a scapegoat on for an offensive line that is going to have some growing pains together here I think especially on the right hand side we'll see how that all plays out I think the Rared and Pick has already paid dividends

26:05that you can use them in both the run and pass games and use him in a way that helps improve your overall roster but I think Ackas is the one that we're looking at here is hopefully to make a big time impact pretty quickly he made some hustle plays over the course of the game on Wednesday still didn't have that super impactful like quick win or anything like that but he did have the big TFL that a pretty explosive play by him shooting the gap and getting into making the play on the defend or on the running back and then his sack was a good hustle play to bring down the quarterback that was the sack I think that sent Sam Darnold out of the game I believe so he's a guy that they need like you're saying behind Dremont Jones and Elijah Ponder he's going to play a lot and so he's the guy I'm watching for sure yeah those look again another player with just a lot of

27:07I mean I hate to use overuse the word upside but a guy who is just seems to be a fit in not just the scheme but the culture there as well just looking at who he is physically and mentally and just as personality I think it's going to be a good fit there isn't that what we're looking for really at this point is the upside that you can bring especially as an early starter as a rookie so all right the Buffalo Bills they did not make a first round pick but we're going to talk about them here at 29 this was another Jets pick here I believe at 29 I don't have it right in front of me but the Jets made three picks in the first round so we're going to talk about the Buffalo Bills though because we haven't yet in round two they had two picks they took Edge to TJ Parker out of Clemson and Cornerback Davidson Igg Benoson out of the Ohio State University three fourth round picks offensive lineman Jude Bowery out of Boston College Wider-Sever Skyler Bell out of UConn and linebacker Caleb Alarms or out of TCU two round five picks defensive back I think he's playing

28:14safety for them Jalen Kilagor out of South Carolina and then Zane Durant the defensive tackle out of Penn State three seventh round picks for the Bills as well here and that was Torriondo pride junior cornerback Adam Missouri punter Tommy Domen Jr. and guard Armage Reed Adams out of Texas A&M I and her your post preseason grade for the Buffalo Bills I boo man this is tough because we didn't really see a whole lot of positivity out of a lot of these guys there's there were so many of them there wasn't a bunch of I think Skyler Bell look good and was popping in the season you know yeah he looked good some of the other guys is just I think the jury's still out I'm still giving this a pretty high grade because I loved what they did on day three compared to most teams I thought they had one the better day three so for that reason at the time I probably would have given it a B plus I'm not going down to a B right now because I'm I still know what to think about the TJ Parker

29:16pick not terrible value in the second but I think they got immediate impact players with Igg Benoson I think Kilgor is going to be a lot more effective as rookie than most people think I like to come out a lot he can hit people he's fast he he is a good guy who can come down into the box and just stop the run as well I think he can do a lot of things well Durant they've already had a guy similar like this an ed Oliver a little bit different profile he's a little bit bigger than Durant was but same speed rusher from the interior and I think even a guy like Torriondo pride whether it be as a gunner a returner or even in the nickel I think that he's going to provide some value to them as the season goes on also alarms or has been taking a lot of snaps in the linebacker rotation I think he's going to be impactful for them for better for worse right as a rookie and linebackers it's usually a tough transition for off-ball linebackers to the pros but very talented guy athletic not afraid to get in and make the hits I'm looking at him and I'm looking at Skyler Bell because

30:18we look at the bills offense and we talk about the heights that they can reach right with a more complete wider see where unit this year and then you start looking at you know you've got DJ Moore you've got Khalil Shakir and Keon Coleman that's a pretty decent complimentary trio set even though maybe it's not a high-end trio right but then you add Skyler Bell to that mix and he can do a little bit of everything for you and if he continues to rise and play like he did in the preseason get even better than that obviously is what they're going to look for him to do then this could turn into a very dangerous four-man group at receiver if you're not having to rely on like Keon Coleman down the field in every single game so we'll see how that plays out but I guess those two guys will be the ones that I'm looking at the most is is Bell and alarms or all right let's move on to the Denver Broncos they didn't pick in round one they didn't pick in round two Andrew they picked

31:22their first selection at pick 66 and round three defensive tackle Tyler is it Onyidim on Yidim on Yidim okay all right Tyler on Yidim out of Texas a and M two fourth round picks Jonah Coleman running back out of Washington and cage Casey guard out of Boise State a fifth-round pick in Titan Justin Jolie who isn't even there anymore I didn't think so no he's in Miami now so he got released and he's in Miami and then three more seventh-round picks for the Broncos Miles Scott safety out of Illinois Dallin Bentley tight end out of Utah and then Red Murdoch linebacker out of Buffalo this is a hard draft a grade because you don't have any picks in rounds one and two it was hard to grade when they made the picks right Andrew but at this point I think you're kind of hoping for really not having to see many of the much of these guys this year yeah this

32:25was very much a futuristic type draft I think the jury's gonna be out for a while on this I didn't like it at the time Onyidim's got a lot of upside I'm giving it a D-plus though I had no Jonah Coleman's probably gonna be effective next year once Dobbins is gone out of the picture I think that he becomes the thunder to RJ Harvey's lightning but I still have not been his biggest fan he has a lot of tread on the tires already it just concerns me cage Casey I think it's got a chance to develop into a starter down the line but I mean we already talked about Jolly how he's missed the roster um Red Murdoch you have to tell me whether he's on the team or not I I did like that pick at the time he's a tackle machine but I don't even know if you made the roster uh I didn't check that yeah at the top it just was hard to get excited about because there's not a whole lot there that's going to help them immediately I thought they needed a little bit more help on the interior of the offensive line maybe Casey plays at guard um but I think that uh man it's hard to give a team a D-plus because they don't have their first and second but I just can't get I can't get on board

33:26with this draft class as a whole I did not like it yeah so um they only kept four drafted players they kept Casey Bentley Coleman and on Yidam um so they're they're practice squad let's see here yeah the practice squad Red Murdoch's on the practice squad Miles Scott is on the practice squad so it's it's not the uh most inspiring draft class ever but again they have Jaylen Waddle right as part of this draft class if you will so if we're grading that part of it into it hey at least they got a fairly young um offensive playmaker out of this to help out bonix so uh you kind of have to throw that into the discussion with something like this um especially for a team that's so heavily in contention so um all right I think Jonah Coleman is the guy to watch um from from my perspective

34:27because um RG Harvey's RG Harvey scored 12 touchdowns last year Andrew it was the most by a rookie running back in like 15 years or something like that since Zeke Elliott I think um but at the same time it's it's a it's a group that doesn't really have a defined star there right or even a one two punch that you feel super great about um for every type of situation so there's a lot of people that I like in the scouting world and in uh the roster analysis world of of NFL analysts that really like him and think that he could be uh somebody that helps them out a lot in year one and could eventually take over as their RB1 more or less um and he's a fun he's an exciting prospect out of um Washington so we'll see how it plays out but I think that he's

35:28the guy that I'm watching to see how big a role he can uh take on by the end of the year here yeah all right no I like this well yep all right the Indianapolis Colts they did not have a first round pick uh in the sauce gardener trade uh they sent uh first rounders two first rounders to the jets so in round two at pick 53 overall they took one of my favorite players in the draft linebacker CJ Allen I'm still I still to understand how he fell that far out of Georgia uh round three they got AJ Halsey out of LSU another player that I really liked two fourth round picks guard Jalen farmer out of Kentucky and a linebacker Bryce but Bryce Betcher out of uh um Oregon and then round five edge George Gums Jr out of Florida oh I love that one uh round six is edge Caden Curry out of Ohio state and then in round seven they had two picks and they took Seth McGowan running back out of Kentucky and wider seabird Dion Burke's

36:28a guy that I liked out of Oklahoma let's get your post-precision grade on this one Andrew it wasn't actually too bad I this one I'm gonna give um a B2 only because at the time I thought Dion Burke's was a absolute steal in the seventh round we haven't really seen much from him to be quite honest I was expecting him to flash a little bit more I watched him a little bit uh in the camp and preseason and didn't see as much as I was hoping for maybe my expectation was just too high I do like Caden Curry though a lot going forward and I haven't I didn't get a chance to follow him much this preseason but he was one of my favorite picks at the time just because of that proven production you have there uh he he doesn't test well athletically but man he just fires off the line he's always got a great motor and heavy heavy hands and I think what they need to help with on defense especially at linebacker with the losses they had there Alan was one of the steals in the second round in a great scheme fit so there's a lot to like walking away from this that there is um I think

37:30obviously um Halsey is actually slotted in as they're starting strong safety this year so he's gonna have a huge role right away but CJ Allen even if it takes him a little bit to get up to speed at the NFL level I do agree with you that this is a guy um that was a steal where he was taken in the second round and I'll be excited to watch him continue to grow and develop I'm excited to watch him in coverage uh role which I think he's gonna get a lot of work in early uh we'll see how he deals with that but uh Bryce Betcher as well I think is a guy that we'll have to see out on the field and looks like both him and CJ Allen are kind of like the number two guys behind Davis Gayther and Jalen Jalen Carly's um who is actually projected to start at linebacker for them despite their two picks at inside linebacker uh to start to start the draft here so um I like Hayden Curry I was never his biggest fan out of Ohio State kind of my same thoughts about

38:30Jack Sawyer um being closer to the team I always felt like those two guys were more of like the um the plotting run defending edge defenders you know that um didn't have a lot of like extra juice to them but we'll see uh it might be something to wear um you know get him like I like I always say get him in an NFL weight room for an off season and and into the season you know maybe he works on some of that power speed to power type stuff and and can be better but um right now he is the fourth guy or fifth guy excuse me in the edge rotation but he did make the roster so we'll see how that plays out um Jalen Farmer Andrew is a guy that I we thought could play center as well as guard right and um it sounds like that he is going to be like the primary backup interior offensive lineman so a guy to watch from that perspective as well in case of an injury where somebody goes down

39:30yeah he played right guard primarily at Kentucky of course he's a transfer from Florida and was very highly regarded for a couple years in the in the scouting community so uh a guy with a bunch of potential in this past year at Kentucky was very consistent in the run game um he he controls defenders he he gets good leverage early on in the snap and he really controls where they go um because of the his power and just a strong core so I'm excited to see where he goes I think that he's going to see some playing time at some point this year just because uh the fact he can play multiple positions along the interior uh I think he's going to be a fun player to watch I agree all right let's move on to our final team here the Super Bowl champions the Seattle Seahawks they had eight selections in the draft and they did have their first round pick they picked as they stayed put and made their pick at 32 even though we thought maybe they'd be a team to make a trade or or get out of there and they take running back to Darian Price who had a good first game for them

40:32very explosive looked like the kind of guy that they were looking to get at the back end of the first round um in round two they took Bud Clark safety out of TCU uh in round three it was corner back Julian Neal out of Arkansas they didn't have a fourth round pick so in the fifth round they took guard Bo Stevens out of Iowa uh a guy I believe you were pretty high on in the draft process this last year uh round six was wide receiver Emanuel Henderson Jr out of Kansas and then three seventh rounders a lot of teams with lots of seventh rounders uh in this back end of the draft here um it was Andre Fuller a cornerback out of Toledo Devon Eastern defensive tackle on Minnesota and Michael Danzby the cornerback out of Arizona let's get your Seahawks post preseason grade here this gave me a C- I felt like it was a very high floor draft uh not a whole lot of upside here in most spots uh I thought the a lot of the defensive players they got bug Clarks an interesting player who's got a lot of ball skills uh Julian Neal's a plate is played better so far

41:34than what I expected him to so I got to give them that but to me Andre Fuller was just kind of like a copy pick from what they had already when they had drafted uh Julian Neal so I didn't really see a reason to go there they'd are I mean they drafted four defensive backs I mean I just didn't think that that was as high a need is what they made it out to be in this draft and I I mean you know me in first round running backs and that was the end of the first round so I don't think it was terrible and I think Jerry Imprice is gonna produce and you're one for sure I just I think there were some other guys there even at positions along the edge that they could have done I mean it doesn't look like edge was addressed to all in this draft and that to me was their biggest defensive needs so for those reasons I give it a C it's not that all the players are bad I just don't like the philosophy they went with yeah it looks to me um you know they put four of their draft picks on the practice squad they've got all both Siemens was an active um yesterday but he's like their

42:36third guard right now uh Price look good obviously Julian Neal made the roster he's cornerback four basically four of them um Neal my approach it who was the free agent that they brought in this year um he looked good he looked really good and uh week one against the Patriots so I think he's a guy that um you're gonna see a lot more of and make heep a guy uh like like Julian Neal on the bench a little bit longer so um I'm sorry Julian Neal was not what was not a free agent he was drafted by them in 2024 uh Neal my approach it that is so he's been there for a couple years now and stepping into a bigger role um kind of what you can do when you're a team like Seattle that has depth all over that defense um Neal can kind of wait and take his time and uh learn from one of the best defensive teachers in the game in Mike McDonald um and

43:40eventually make an impact for them so uh I think obviously Geri and Price uh Corey Eckenroth and the Steelers Fixed Podcast picked him as his rookie of the year offensive rookie of the year um and I think if Seattle just decides to use him uh as their feature back then he might actually do that because he looked explosive but in the end Andrew uh he only got one more touch or excuse me one more snap than George Alani did in uh week one uh for the Seattle Seahawks and we don't even have Zach Charbonne available to us if we're Seattle right now so uh this feels like a kind of a nightmare scenario especially from a fantasy perspective for Gidaring Price it does and I know they like George Alani there but uh he probably was clearly the most explosive running back last night in that backfield and hopefully that means that he will get more carries going forward if they decide to go with the hot hands yeah speaking of explosive running backs your boy Blake Quorum is ripping off some big ones in this game uh here for the Rams who now lead at seven to three um still though

44:45Kyron Williams getting that goal line work got Kyron Williams has the touchdown for the Rams uh here in this game so uh we will see a good mix of 23 and 24 in that backfield all year long that's a committee I can get behind because both of those guys are pretty equal um in skill level and the Rams offensive line is just blowing dudes up uh it's just it's not looking good for San Francisco after those first couple drives here so something to watch for sure from a fantasy perspective how much uh those guys get the work Quorum's got four straight carries here on this drive for the Rams so good luck for your boy god I love it go blue all right I'm not gonna repeat that but that's a good note to end it on uh you're gonna need all the help you can get with that this weekend Andrew in college football for Michigan and Oklahoma and my boys my Ohio State Buckeyes we got ourselves a big bad matchup this week as well against the Texas so um good week for college football looking for
