Fame changes dating.
Money changes expectations.
And style changes access.
In this wide-ranging conversation, Drago breaks down what most people won’t say out loud about dating in America vs Europe, money-driven culture, modern masculinity, fashion as social leverage, and navigating the music industry without losing yourself.
From touring with Coldplay, getting noticed by Chris Martin, building a fashion brand, and rejecting industry control — to dating dynamics, chivalry, social media sameness, and why authenticity is disappearing — this episode blends music, culture, psychology, and identity.
We talk about:
• Dating in America vs Europe
• Money, access & expectations
• Fame, DMs & disingenuous attention
• Touring with Coldplay & breaking into global music
• Why fashion changes how people treat you
• Building a clothing brand after music
• Chivalry, feminism & attraction (personal views)
• Social media cloning culture
• Masculinity, responsibility & family goals
• Why originality is dying — and how to keep yours
This isn’t advice.
It’s one artist’s lived experience in public life.

This country is very money-driven so the top girls in this country are probably getting blown
out by like the top millionaires so and until you get there you're not going to have your access
to probably like the top girls and till your money is right in this country but as far as Europe
and Canada and stuff like that it's more of an even playing field because not everyone is rich
but basically if you can dress nice and you can afford decent dinners a couple of vacations you
thought Paris is right there for what you don't look like to Paris wow you get an Airbnb so
it's easier to date right there because the expectations are not as high now we all know
that women are money and the richest man we'll have the most women that's what kind of makes it
okay guys you just flew back into town we got Drago here a spend's been busy thanks for coming
man where'd you come in from I just flew in from Toronto doing some music out there yeah you know
turnt cold play I did a couple DJ shows out there and I used to live out there for a bit nice so
on my I figured it's like just perfect to get in that city and put my energy back out there as you
know everything is going on right now let's go man cold placement in the news lately I'd say
understatement right what'd you think of that whole incident uh I mean I think you should have
just owned it you know you should have owned it and I mean should have went younger you're a billionaire
I don't know why you would go people know Chris does it he does it every concept so it's like
you would risk your marriage you know and you're fortunate to bring the the lady that's in your
company and we know Chris like he does this every show where he just picks random people in the
crowds like there's the risk of that it's just too much to bear for me personally if I was in
this position but hey yeah I guess the guys in there they were front and center too they were right
on the rail and then he gets down and hides it's like both of them yeah both of them I feel like
if they just stood there and didn't react it wouldn't have been that bad well now it wouldn't
have been that bad well he's already gonna get caught but yeah you're right Chris probably wouldn't
have said that he had to make a whole apology later yeah he probably would have been like
dialed down a bit but yeah yeah he still would have been still to be cooked by his by his wife for sure
yeah but just it wasn't probably went that viral not stood yeah that's how you got on my radar man
shout out to you because I was at the allegiance stadium when you were there yeah the second night
and you guys crushed it thanks I was telling people that was one of the best concerts I've ever seen
all right nice yeah it was definitely a fun time whatever I never even I didn't even tell anyone
I was gonna do the show I just um because I'm like they come block what they don't know
so I was gonna just go and see who's all then whoever pops up who knows me then they're just
gonna pop up and oh that's my boy yeah you did well hiding no idea you were gonna be there
I think yeah you guys crushed it though you guys uh how long you've been working with those guys uh
well the situation came up a bit uh for like fast yeah uh Andy a big friend of mine good friend
of mine works at Empire Records uh he hit me up with a text and he said I've got an opportunity
for you um I we've been building with I met Andy with uh a craze Charlie and um we jammed out
in Charlie's uh hotel room at excess or when yeah after one of his shows and um so we're gonna
just jammed out and then he told me um that they were looking for somebody to sing by the boys part
they were looking for someone you know African descent who had you know dress that's why kind of
the look so Chris Martin went went checked out my music and my page it's like they love you so
it sent me to track I went to the studio recorded it and then um yeah he called me and he's like
yeah we're just happy to have you on tour and I was like perfect wow that's surreal man yeah one of
the biggest touring uh fans in the world right yeah apparently yeah apparently the biggest numbers
don't lie yeah I mean yeah I think that was you too and then when you two uh stop turn I think
co-play is next up yeah yeah it's impressive dude well done you've been at the sphere yet and he
shows at the sphere I went to the sphere to see the afterlife tour but I ain't really I've never
performed at the sphere but you know I wouldn't mind it one day right one day you know the back
street boys are there right now I heard I was on a plane full of girls I'm talking about the plane
was about 60 70 percent just female just for the concert wow how's the music scene in Toronto right
now is it still pretty good it's not as heavy as it was when I was living there but I feel the
scene is good though it's still it's very classy right now you still have your you know the night
clubs things and you know have it like that but as far as I um a lot of the owners you can meet by
just walking into the spots so you can meet everybody it's uh classy you can get a lot of culture there's
um you know so many different cultures as Indians there's um Middle Easton's Persians there's a lot
of um uh Somalians and you know it's a big mixture so you can get a lot of culture there and um
there's um Kizzington Market which is where I got this vest actually I just got this vest and
they got a bunch of crazy vintage stores and crazy jewelry and stuff like that so I just had a
field day up there nice you like I came back here and I'm just looking for anything to go find
and I know downtown is nice over there um but yeah I just didn't know just going to the mom
just like I hate it here the old stripper talking about uh no I went over here to the outlet right
here I was looking at stuff yeah there's not many good vintage clothing stores here
no no you rock it though man that jacket must be kind of old huh I guess yeah I mean they
got the patches on it you know this looks like a real biker game jacket you know that's a jet
rug free yeah that might have seen some action back in the definitely damn I know you're big on
fashion you're starting a clothing line right Castle yes yes um I I really want to just help
people feel better about themselves and I want to and I feel as though the jam is one part you
know you can get your jamming stuff up you know the fashion has changed my life it's gotten me
in rooms that I never thought I'd be in well I'm pretty sure it was part of the deciding factor
they even got me on the co-play tool so I mean how you dress is such a big part to me and I've
I've dressed some people you know that come out a friend of mine to fill from radiate yeah
um you come to my house to my place and we were going to the win as a all black part and he had
a blue shirt on he's like I don't have any clothes so I go in my closet actually I went in my trunk
and I just dressed him up and I saw his whole aura change his whole personality change and he's
he's walking different he's talking different he's he's he's running up talking to girls and doing
that stuff so um I really want to make an impact in the fashion industry I think it's a nice
segue you know for uh the end of my music once I you know after music and acting and stuff like that
yeah so you're already planning the future that far ahead huh absolutely everything has to be
planned out that's smart yeah a lot of intersection with fashion and music too yeah absolutely
yeah I would like to have a store on my Paris and uh it's more like high fashion streetwear but
in end business wear so we have street stuff we have business stuff we have summer stuff so um
it's a very big project to me something I'm very excited about we have bags I've been always
been a big fan of like Louis Vuitton and um just a the duffle bag culture in general so it's
going to be nice to have my own print on the bags that I can you know help you out and all my people
yeah I'll need some help bro yeah yeah so okay you think guys can rock bags he says you
you travel don't you what do you usually you travel just a backpack you don't I'm talking like
bags like a handbag like you think guys walk I know gunna and everybody else do it the
best thing is not my thing I like shoulder shoulder bags and like duffle bags that's my thing but
you know everybody needs to travel back yeah I might switch because a backpack is kind of like
you know kind of we want to come up with backpacks as well I mean how I travel is one shoulder back
one backpack and a duffle bag yeah three bags three bags you got a lot of stuff on you huh
I like to take a lot of clothes with me you like to shop I don't like to shop that's the thing
I just I actually don't shop that often I just get pieces that are that are quality sorry
now you're good I just like to get pieces that are quality and um
that have story I like like this jacket we don't know what happens but I know you can tell by
looking at it that it has a story yeah the patch of the back is off of it so I just like
clothes that have a story that have a meaning and out I like to be able to show my
anomaly just might differentness through it not 100% and you proved it when you walked in here
everyone out there said nice outfit that's never happened I've had 1700 guests no one's ever
said that to a guest of mine thank you so well done dude okay so this is an interesting question do
you still believe in chivalry or do you believe it's dead chivalry um I think chivalry is kind of
dead with all the feminism stuff going on you know it's uh I would say women kind of killed it
yeah I think we've seen it you know once you're doing so much and the whole feminism thing is
you don't want anyone to you want to be equal you know and it's like oh I don't know you
know my door I don't need you to do this so chivalry is only they only want it when it benefits them
and yeah I just think that it's pretty much dead at this point you know unless you are a lady like
I'm a gentleman for a lady and if you're a lady that appreciates a gentleman then I can
appreciate being chivalry so I love I want to aspire the other day and with a nice lady you know
just it made she was such so feminine and ladylike and it made me just be the gentleman but when
it's a person who's you know in competition with the man and if you want to be the man I'll let
you be the man I mean you want to compete we'll go ahead you know it's hard to be attractive to
that though long term definitely yeah I agree shout out today sponsor quince as the weather
cools I'm swapping in the pieces that actually gets the job done that a warm durable and built
to last quince delivers every time with wardrobe staples they'll carry you through the season they
have false staples that you'll actually want to wear like the 100% Mongolian cashmere for just

other brands layer up this fall with pieces that feel as good as they look go to quince.com slash
dsh for free shipping on your order and 365 their returns they're also available in canada too
must be tough to date in your industry because obviously a lot of attention on you but these girls
are attracted to you for the wrong reasons right yeah I mean as far as the industry
I've had times where I've not had money and I've not had fame but I've had you know women because
you know I've seen I've done some stuff like that so you know you'll get women from that then you
get times where things get slow and it's like oh and you get times where you're getting left on
scene and stuff and you get on tour and they see you get off tour and it's like DMs flood it
now and it's like hey how you been oh I just saw this message and also kind of just I like genuine
people you know and it kind of seems disingenuous to me so I'm like I don't know you know so if the
people who've always been in contact with me I can see I can see genuine people right away
not that because you've been in this industry so long you've found a lot of people screw you over
over the years yeah I mean yeah it's been it's been a hectic journey but it's been beautiful it's
been fun and I just try to enjoy the process and say if you quit you'll never get there but as far
as dating it's like I prefer to date girls that overseas and you know you're interesting so you
like the longest and stuff I mean well I'm born in London so I like to go back over there I feel
deserve the class is a bit different over there now I'm not writing off American girls because you
know there are classy girls in an America as well but you know it's it's this country is very money
driven right right so the top girls in this country are probably getting flown out by like the top
millionaires and so and till you get there you're not gonna have your access to probably like the
top girls until your money is right in this country but as far as Europe and Canada and stuff like
that it's more than even playing field because not everyone is rich so basically if you can dress
nice and you can afford decent dinners and you know a couple vacations and like Paris is right there
for you dollar flight to Paris wow you know you get an Airbnb so they it's easier to date right
there because the expectations are not as high now we all know you know women of money and
the richest man will have the most women but that's what kind of makes it a bit hard it is
interesting right you need some serious money if you want the most physically attractive woman in
America yeah I mean for me it's got to be mixture between the physical attractiveness like
between seven and ten I can because for me my look is so crazy that people literally judge me if
I come in with like XYZ and she could be the most greatest person in the world but they'll be like
you know you can't you can't even bring her here can't bring her that so damn it hurts when you
to look good sometime because I have a person a woman that matches you and I don't like to just
date for look so I like to date for you know compatibility I'm looking for a partner I'm looking for
someone who understands me I've had about three girlfriends serious girlfriends and all my
girlfriends were pretty much my biggest fans or whatever kitchen and they believed in me and they
helped me be who I am today so they've all played a part and me getting to why I'm in my career
so I can't go from dating beautiful women because then they were all beautiful you know I can't
go from dating beautiful women that believe in your built to built me to just getting money and
getting rich and just basically having a trophy wife yeah now I don't knock the guys who do do it
I just don't need that type of validation yeah feel the I'm similar they need to be my partner I need
to talk to yeah it's not just looks no way no way you need food you know you know a good mother
you know as you can see you know one little thing as as my man at the concert half your money's
going to have everything it's gone so I I mean I'm already on the edge with marriage just
like that anyway well there's a lot of studies if you're if your girls at a work environment
around other guys the rates of cheating or way higher so my whole thing is like make enough money
where your girls just at home yeah that's what I'm saying like why would you put her in that
situation exactly we're all humans exactly we find people attractive you know yeah that's why I've
been just working so hard to just because I really want to start a family and I really you know I
believe when a woman is working that hard she loses the femininity and she can't touch you and
she can't do xyz because she's in that masculine because she is and then and women have
basically put themself because they want it to freedom away from a man but with that freedom
comes hard work and with that hard work they don't know the stress you know you go to build a studio
like this you know the build this stuff has to be up kept you know you have to manage a team and
when women start doing that stuff it's just long hours and all that you can kids getting touched
and all that stuff goodbye because she's too tired to doing it that stuff so for me I rather just
get my money up and just focus on my business right now I've got time you know and when that time
comes I want her to just be able to come into a soft place and just just be a lover be a companion
be a nurturer and that's what I believe a lot brings out the best and makes a woman the most
happiest wasn't she's in a role where she can I'm not saying she can't work but do something that's
a hobby something that's creative women I feel is though they're happier when they're able to be
creative you know 100% so when they're doing things when they have to make money it's just
distress level and when like you say happy wife happy life that's because you know they're going
to make everybody's life you know terrible when they're stressed out you know and we're meant to
carry that button that's why it's so hard dating in America because the guys aren't making
enough to support that these days capitalistic society yeah so that's why they're divorced
rate 60% people have to work now and then that affects the relationship at social media until then
you know it's like you know girls getting getting off a private jet oh and you know they're
hurt creatures so they they have a hurt mentality they they want to compete with other women and
stuff like that they're all secret and secret competition so it's like oh we're on a yacht
if you notice when eyebrows get changed I was just looking at something the other day I was looking
at some movies I was looking at old movies in the 90s and all the girls had the thin eyebrows
and then I look at today similar lips similar eye eyebrows eyelashes dresses and everything you
know so similar lifestyle restaurants dresses and everything so I'm like what makes you different
so sometimes I find myself being attracted to girls with like different looks now I do I like
I like the classy look as well but I like different looks different personalities like set yourself
apart because I don't why be why would I move you into my place or even think about marrying you
or having children with you you're just going to be a replica of every other girl I've had on a
lot of NBA veterans and they said when they used to travel in the 80s and 90s to different cities
that each city had their own girl like their own look their own fashion now social media change
a lot social media change everything now you go to Atlanta it's the same girls as Miami it's the
same look so also with the guys too I mean a lot of guys just look at other guys and see you know I'm
going to do the the ultra tattoo uh TRT trend look you know yeah that's just insecurity yeah
you know when you're copying someone like that I don't know if it's as much as insecurity or you just
a follower and you just don't have your own style you just you know you're afraid to just
jump off and just be yourself and do something different you know yeah could be both could be both
for sure it's a little insecurity for some people but some people just don't got the juice like that you
know you don't think so but me it just comes to me I'm just I'm just like that I've you never
had confidence issues going up or no I was always uh so when I grew up I was watching Michael Jackson
when I was gay high so yeah my favorite person growing up is the king of pop right
and he's the most unique person so I always want to be like Michael Jackson growing up and then
I watch a lot of movies I watch a lot of anime a lot of cartoons I watch a lot of vampire movies so
I believe my style is just uh collective uh and then you add in the the European high class style
so I believe my style is just collection my father actually used to dress like a cowboy wow him
and him and his boy so um I mean he wore more of the brown brown cowboy you know yeah yeah so
it's funny to see myself today walking around like cowboy cuz I was just looking at some pictures
of my father and so the style came he had like the the brown um uh gloves I had the black ones so
so yeah see it all come full circle but yeah I'm just I just dressed how like I'd just like
movies and cartoons and uh various things I like yeah you're one of one for sure which is
respectable amid today's society man a lot of copy and paste yeah you said anime earlier now I got
to know what's your favorite anime uh I mean I I don't want to be basic because I feel
there's the most most people whenever I starts to say my anime they're like oh man you don't
because they they always go to like the ones that are not so mainstream but I cowboy bebop
try gun uh it's you remember try gun I'd never watch the one I watch cowboy bebop yeah I like all
the Gundam stuff um there's a lot of good ones there samurai shampoo is my favorite what
samurai shampoo really have you seen that one oh yeah two samurai yeah um yeah basic Naruto but
Naruto was a banger dude yeah yeah it was nice I mean it started off with the Dragon Ball Z of
course that's yeah that's everyone sorry right yeah yeah there's some good ones though anime is
good at drawing emotion out of people I it's perfect for me that's what I do on my downtime so
sometimes I get overstimulated when I'm like traveling because I had to basically put myself on
I basically put myself on which is like networking and just going out and you know all the other
singers are like basically like skin just you know just different looks and yeah some people
like I didn't you don't sound you don't see how you look and I'm just like yeah so I have to go out
make different type of relationships and stuff like that and then it's like all right what
did the music sound like then I played it like oh this is really good I mean because I you know
watch Michael Jackson oh yeah I grew up looking up to like Michael Jackson Usher
Chris Brown and that's kind of where it started end up writing for Chris Brown Usher came to see
one of my shows wow and I want to see Michael Jackson when I was three full circle moments right
people you looked up to you get to work with down the road it's crazy how life works similar with me
man all the people I grew up watching they're coming on the pod now it's like damn who does
how he Mendel was the first one that stood out to me dealer no deal a lot of NBA guys like John
Sally came on Spencer Dinwitty just like it's surreal right like people you really idolized growing up
yeah you've done a lot you've done a lot of work I've been seeing this stuff man you got to put
in the work though that's the thing right you're going to these events and networking like no one's
telling you to do that you're just doing that by yourself I just pray about it let's go out and
get out make it happen I put myself out there because if I don't do it no one's going to do it so
I just see I try to build my own machine you know yeah that's kind of what I do yeah Tate was
another big one too Anger Tate you got him on the show yeah no way he's sorry right where you're
sitting really three and a half Anger Tate yeah I know he's controversial everybody's like you
remind me of Anger Tate I had the dollar down I had to doubt I can't even say some of the things
that I I have to really think because before I got the tool of co-play the first thing they
asked me was like is there anything controversial about you on the internet right now and I'm like
you know what Anger Tate can do that because he's but he's rich already and you know he's you know
he's already a big big and famous and stuff like that so you can kind of say what he's
gets his money from different stuff so I'm just you know playing my part doing my thing don't want
to ruin anything that I've worked because I've worked very hard to get to where I'm going but I
definitely rock what Anger Tate I understand you know a lot of his views and it makes sense you know
yeah the day after he came on he got hit with that lawsuit in LA he just beat that case but
man law fair is a real thing at that level did yeah I mean do you think do you think that
there's a war on men yeah yeah yeah especially men teaching what he's teaching I mean look at
every way they're trying to attack him from censoring to a law fair to month going after his
money his business is shutting down his payment processing like have you witness any of that yourself
while having because I understand when I watch your stuff I see that you have conservative people
and people who think about friend themselves from the matrix and people who actually want to
you know fix society and stuff like that have they have you experienced any of that type of stuff
all of it but the thing is I'm not beholden to the social media platforms I already made my
millions before I started the podcast so a lot of people are screwed because like you said they
have to say certain things so they don't get banned or whatever I don't care that I'm demonetizing
every platform if I was monetized on Instagram I'd be making hell of money but it doesn't matter
you know so I'm in a good spot but it's yeah that's why I that's why I started the clothing line
exactly the music business is you know controlled and stuff like that and and like like
tape says a lot if you aren't controlled in the music business they don't want you there or they
if you're not you don't have a handler they don't want you there so for me my thing is I'm
gonna outlast the competition I'm going to I just want to bring back that feeling like you know
that James Brown that you know when Prince and you know all those eclectic stars from the 70s and
80s when they walk into the room James Brown and like which is like yeah these people are authentic
soul man so that's why we we're calling calling me the king of the dark disco and that's what the
dark disco is about it's about bringing that feeling from the 70s and 80s whereas the disco which
is down tonight I just want to bring it back and today people are more into darker sounds and you
know they're into the dark stuff so I just make it deliverable digestible without going all the way
to the dark side they call me blade right so I would like to say I'm have vampire have human
but I'm a vampire slayer so I have all their strengths none of their weaknesses I can be in the room
with the darkness for bringing light to the dark rooms bars what I'm trying to do that's bars
did you see that new vampire movie theaters centers centers yeah yes I felt the I felt so many like
tie ends to that there was a great music scene in that movie the Irish song when they were outside
dancing around yeah that was a great movie though yeah yeah really good movie I looked at it
it's like even all three of them I looked at those are like three different parts of me okay you got
this uh the musician side of me which is the guy and it's just like I guess uh the devil wants
this talent you know and then you have the uh the other one the brother the other brother I don't
know if he'll smoke he dates the the mixed girl yeah whatever the case may be and you know she
lets them in so yeah and then you got the other one and that he's dating the the black queen she's
not as beautiful as the other girl but she has all of the remedies for the magic and to to keep
him safe and protect it so it was just that movie kind of freaking me out it was too real for you
yeah I just I felt everything that he was trying to portray in the movie yeah yeah there's a
lot of things acting is the next thing I want to get into what cover what type of genre do you
want to get into I like to do um action action yeah yeah I fight um I like I did some military
training and stuff like that so I would I would like to do action I grew up big action
fan made my pops you should just watch all the action movies all those watching that goes one of
my favorite John Caravan damn Westie Snipes who everybody you know you should prepare me too um
so I love action movies I wouldn't mind doing some romantic stuff as well or some funny stuff yeah
action is definitely right yeah you in uh 50 shades of gray man whatever yeah action movies they used
to be really good in my opinion I feel like they've lost their touch too much easier huh too much yeah
too much editing right yeah like it's not it was good because you could believe it you could
put yourself in their shoes and it was sort of believable now it's like it's not even
Tom Cruise is still doing stina mission impossible as a banger yeah I didn't see the new one yet but
this is 60 years old still jumping off of buildings and well that's why I respect him he does his own
