Drake's Rolex Sells for $500K

On May 1st, Drake's gold and diamond Rolex from his take care album just sold for $500,000.

That's the GMT Master 2 he sported on the cover and promos back in 2011.

Wind vintage and Palm Beach listed it and a buyer snapped it up at the full price.

Turns out, it wasn't even Drizzy's personal piece.

A colleague loaned it out just for that album shoot in the rollout hype.

Eric Wind from the shop says the collectible watch game is on fire right now.

Pieces sell out in minutes to smart, diverse buyers, not some shaky niche crowd.

The watch shows light wear on the clasp and a few scratches on the back,

but it comes with the original box, papers, and oveal extras like a Swiss army.

Knife, Owl Statue, apparel, and backstage passes.

Drake's team hasn't hit back on this yet, but sales like these prove hip-hop icons turn into

serious collector gold.
