Dyami Brown Returns to Washington Commanders

On April 3, Diamy Brown is back with the Washington commanders after a one-year detour with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The wide receiver, drafted in the third round back in 2021, signed that short deal in Jacksonville following a strong playoff showing.

Last season, he caught 14 passes for 229 yards and a touchdown, which opened the door to that fresh start down south.

While with the Jaguars, Brown picked up new insights from vets like Jacobi Myers and Brian Thomas Jr.

plus quarterback Trevor Lawrence. It sharpened his game view even through a shoulder injury that slowed him early in 2025.

He still flashed potential with a few big games, but Jacksonville passed on bringing him back.

Brown missed his commander's crew and calls returning home a relief, like filling a missing piece.

He posted career bests and catches and yards during his last full year in Washington, stretching the field with quarterback Jaden Daniels.

Now healthy and more mature, he's ready to build on those traits.

The team's offense got upgrades too, with new coordinator David Blue stepping up from within.

Brown praises blow smarts from his playing and coaching days, saying the ceiling is sky high for this balanced attack.
