Welcome to the eVenturecast, the show that fowls me, Eric Fady, as I travel around looking to add as many fun experiences as I can to my life's adventure list before, um,
uh, well you know, as always, my good friend Amy is here in attempt to steer my ramblings and run on sentences into a somewhat listenable podcast.
Thanks so much for checking us out and, uh, here we go.
Hey, how's it going another episode of the eVenturecast, not in the Patreon page this week because I'm shilling.
So I thought I'd throw it up today.
I'm doing some grifting is not grifting, I guess, but yeah, that's what we call it.
Yeah, grifting for sure.
Anyway, this is a free episode of the eVenturecast, but it comes with advertisements, which I'll get into in a little bit.
It's not advertisement necessarily, I guess advertisement for myself, I suppose.
Self promotion.
Self promotion advertisement.
How's it going, Amy?
Good, Jesus.
Yeah, yeah.
Just made some scuddy.
Just got there.
Oh, man.
How is the meal cooking going?
Are you still cooking meals?
Or give it back.
No, no, no, no, no.
Um, admittedly this past week, I did a little bit more door dash than cooking.
Yeah, but, but that has not, I truly have not gotten back into it.
Like, I would say I probably cook maybe three times, four times a week.
Yeah, yeah.
And then order up the rest.
Yeah, I hear you.
I mean, it was tough when I, it's, dude, no one likes hearing this.
No one gives a fuck.
But like, when I went out, I was gone for nine days and like to try to go on a trip like that and still maintain,
um, not eating like shit was super tough.
Yeah.
In reality.
Like, the only thing that helps is like, we have an Airbnb of my parents.
Um, so at least like, and I, I'm probably the only person, maybe not the only person, but I've
got to be in the top, like, five percent that actually cooks at Airbnb is like, I cooked like
legit dinners.
I think that's a thing for like families.
Okay.
That could be true.
That could be true.
Like, you know, families will stay at Airbnb and, yeah, I'll buy food to cook.
I've done that before.
Right.
Um, when I've gone with like my sisters and their families.
And even when I was at the hotel with the wedding, when I went to the wedding, I did stop.
Like, I knew that like, yeah, of course the wedding meal that night is going to be whatever and stuff like that.
But I, I did stop and get stuff so to try.
Like, you know what I did and people are going to fucking, you know, I hate this.
I hate it when you're trying to, when you're made a decision at some point to try to eat better.
And that is like hotel breakfast.
I fucking love it.
When you go to these hotel, when I would go to the hotels and you walk down and you get your waffle.
I think every time I see it can't, I don't.
I fucking, I miss it.
And I don't do them pretty much.
I did them the one day on Sunday because I was hungover.
Um, but like, I don't do them.
So I go to these hotels now and I'm staying there and they're just kind of there.
And I, and I waited till noon and ate my little turkey sandwich with my fucking shit anyway.
Um, right before I get to into this, I really, I find when I do things like this,
if you're trying to like do this, you got to do it up front.
Do it.
Wait till the end.
No one fucking listens and they don't stick around.
I look at the averages of how long people listen to shows and stuff.
So like, you know, I wanted to throw it out there.
Amy and I obviously have been doing Patreon episodes.
It's pretty e-venture cast for a long time.
Uh, and there are tons of free episodes on iTunes and Spotify.
And this one will go on iTunes and Spotify as well.
But I was trying to come up with maybe a way to entice some people to join the Patreon page.
And it came up in an episode recently.
Um, when I'm working on this, uh, YouTube or this.
Why don't just project video project that I watched the DVD that my friends and I filmed.
And made back in the 2000s.
Jackass videos.
My jackass videos.
He found his jackass videos.
I did.
I found the e-vision social disease jackass video from 2008.
And I said that I had to watch some of it.
And we just talked about a little bit.
And Amy was like, we should do a streaming thing where we watch it on here and react to it.
And that seemed good.
And then I was like, but what if I threw a little bit of a carrot out there.
And said, Hey, for anybody that's a $5.
And if you're already a Patreon member, you're in obviously.
At some point, I'll have to try to get people to let me know if they are planning on going because technically based on that number.
I mean, there could be a, you know, a decent amount of people.
You know,
Right.
So, um, so I'm doing a deal where anybody joins as a $5 member or more, of course.
Um,
for the e-vision or e-vision, e venture cast Patreon page,
uh, will be invited to the manner Saturday, May 2nd to have a viewing party.
Of the e-vision social disease, the jackass video that I made with my buddies a few years ago.
A few years ago.
A few decades ago.
Right.
Like almost 20 years ago.
And I look at dude, when you see the video, I look at, you know, I mean,
I've luckily, you know, I've done the okay job.
I don't think I look as bad as some people my age.
But I don't look like I do it in this video.
I, you know, no one knows, right?
Yeah.
Actually, I think you've grown into your skin a little bit, Jesus.
Yeah.
I was actually too skinny at periods of my life, probably.
Yeah.
Uh, but I am not going to show.
Yeah.
But yeah, but you grew into your grill.
Yeah.
You grew into your grill.
So that's good.
You look dapper at the wedding.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Thank you.
Thank you.
I mean, it's not to look at in a black suit, I guess, but.
Yeah, but you, you know, you're, you're, you're trim, you're thin.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You're, you know, your hair is freshly shorn.
I got, I'm going to get into my hair, by the way.
Um, but also that, and I, I stated to a few people that image from that wedding.
And I stayed it in my post jokingly a few times.
But that is the first tie I've ever tied in my life by myself.
Was in that, was a tie.
I was wearing all grown up.
You're all grown up, Jesus.
I know.
I finally learned how to tie a tie.
So if anyone has any, um, inkling.
Have you ever just wanted to see the Fatie Manor?
Or if you, I mean, obviously, I appreciate just the support generally of, um,
when I'm doing here with the adventure cast.
But if anybody that is not a member, and if you are a member, you're in, like I said.
But if you're not a member, five dollar members or more,
anyone joins up five dollars or more a month, uh, from now until May 2nd,
you can come to the Fatie Manor, Manor Saturday, May 2nd.
Amy's going to be there and we will watch the thing.
My parents are not going to watch the movie with us.
I, that's not going to happen.
They'll, you'll meet them and they'll have food.
We'll have some pizza and, you know, and food, of course, upstairs.
But they will not be watching the movie at my request.
Have they seen it?
Got no.
And my request, and as well, I would say at their request.
What would it take?
What kind of donation would it take to allow one of your funny thing is the donation
would be more on, in my mind, on my end, in the sense of like, yeah,
because I don't, there's, there's very specific.
Yeah, the donation to you, the show.
No, no, no, I know that.
I mean, it's more to persuade me to, to get them to do it than it would be them to get,
like, you don't think that they were the push to have them watching,
because like, there's very specifically two scenes in this, in this thing.
Yeah, so what would it take for you to get the balls to ask them?
Oh, what are we talking here?
Oh, my God.
You know, you're on a number.
Yeah, I think people are going to think this is crazy, but it's exactly what it would take.
It'd take a thousand dollars.
I'm sorry, I don't care.
Is that bad?
Yeah, to me, to have to, because remember, I still live here.
If I was living it away on my own at this point, I think 500.
Where are you at?
I feel Bob, let's go.
Yeah, yeah.
I need a thousand dollars, I think, to like get them, and this isn't even, yeah.
And what I would say is they need to message me, saying it's going to happen,
and then I still have to make the decision, honestly, because there's two scenes specifically
in this movie that just, it's like no one in the deep cast world would be that big of a deal necessarily.
But with me, and to have them sitting there watching it, and it would be tough to me, you know, it'd be very,
I don't even want to say it because I want to try to like entice people to show.
I'll just say it came across, it was mentioned in TDC and done in TDC for a fundraiser one time.
Me drinking urine, but like there is a scene in this that's worse than that to me,
but it's like involving the same type of thing in my opinion.
So I'm going to say a thousand to get to the point where I would be willing to even go there and ask my parents
that you have to watch this.
And the funny thing is a thousand isn't that much because a thousand isn't going to give me out of my house.
They wouldn't care at this point, so they would.
My dad is still, and I don't think he realizes that it's like how rebellious I am even in a stay.
Like I think that's part of what keeps my teenage angst alive at 40 almost two is because like I still will have my dad like say like,
you know, your shoes aren't tied and I'm like, well, I guess I'm not tying them now.
I'm like, I still fight back on shit.
So like the fact that he's still says that no.
And the worst thing is that and really I want to tell you who's worse that at 40 almost two,
I'm going to say, well, not tying my shoes now or that he hasn't realized yet that like I'm so stubborn that if you pointed out,
it's, I'm, I'm going to fight back.
Right. Like if you didn't say anything, I'd probably like fuck I should tie these I guess.
Yeah, yeah.
Like so.
I don't know.
We're both in our, in our, in our own way, him and I'm at like 70 unwilling to give up on the fact that I'm not going to care.
But me not willing to fucking give in.
It's a battle of chicken that I think only death will solve.
But, but anyway, so that's it.
I don't want to do much more of the selling job.
I think that that will do it.
And yeah, that will go.
So Amy, this is nothing new with the wedding, but I did want to bring this up.
Like I have another case for you and you're in your chase of true crimes.
Okay.
True crimes.
There was, and I'd like to look into when the last one was because I have no idea when.
And I don't actually, I think the murder happened here.
I'd like to know when the last time a murder happened in Commerce Township.
Do you know about this?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
The young gentleman that they found Kate was all freaked out because she's like, that is where I walk every single day.
Yes.
She's like, if I would have found that body, I don't know what I would have done.
No, it was crazy about life.
Amy to me.
And I was thinking about this myself because like I do the same thing.
I go running and walking over there all the time.
So just a recap.
There was a gentleman.
Sounds like kind of brutally murdered.
Like there was blood and shot, like shot homicide in Proud Lake, Michigan, which is a little state, you know, part kind of thing.
And Katie's friend who was in my same neighborhood walks her dog over there.
I go over there.
It's five minutes from me.
I go kayaking there and hugging.
And in this day, you know what's crazy in life is like, we see stuff on the news.
We know people die.
We know there's accidents.
You drive by things.
You, you know, experience stuff.
And I have two.
But like the thought that if I'd gone on a walk that day and saw a dead body in person with blood.
I know.
What would that do to you?
That would be so fucked up.
I do.
And then you'd be like a witness.
And you have like go testify.
And Big E is the star.
Did you hear?
Did you hear who found them?
When you read the article.
It was like this group of.
There's a home school kids.
And they have like a social group that like.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You know, we get together once a once a week and we go on a little nature walk.
That you found them.
Yes.
Oh, fuck.
And like I'm not like it sounds like a.
And what's the kind of thing to say?
But like I swear I feel like.
That'd be in your dreams.
Wouldn't it?
Yeah.
Yeah.
And like you know what's funny is I will still walk over there now.
But like if I had been there that morning.
I don't know how long it would be before I went over there.
Yeah.
Even though like the likelihood.
Is so crazy.
Yeah.
And I mean, it doesn't sound like it was just some young gentleman out for a stroll and got murdered.
I mean, no.
Like, yeah, he was from the city or something.
Yeah.
Two people who.
New him.
Yeah.
I think it's.
I want to know.
And they've been arrested.
Like now I do want to know what happened.
Like do that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It wasn't from around here.
Like he said it wasn't like he was on a stroll in a walk in a park walk.
And then some guy.
Got just one of the rob somebody or something.
I had to be like a drug deal gone bad or something like that.
Maybe they drove out to get drugs and.
But like they're proud.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But like.
Yeah.
It was.
So I'd like to know more about that.
That was crazy.
Yeah.
You met.
You mentioned my hair.
Like how I had the haircut.
And like this hair.
I know people would think like what's the big fucking deal.
But like, you know, it's crazy is like what happens when you get a bad haircut.
You know, like it.
You get a bad haircut.
That's the fun.
But here's the deal.
So here's the deal.
I got my hair cut through because you know,
I've got a lot of hair cut up.
I've got a lot of hair cut up.
And I would like to go through some.
And then the haircut.
And that was my,
probably my fault for going to great clips.
You know,
because I'm cheap as fuck right.
But.
I went to great clips.
I never paid a cut my hair.
I've been.
I'm.
Toying with the idea.
I'm starting to just learn how to cut my hair or something.
And I'm even considering like.
Next year I want to do a full season on Mac and Island.
I'm just going to like.
Find somebody in the house.
It's willing to.
And I'll just like.
And so I went to great clips and I wanted to get like a but my hair was long enough that I could have done a
Full-hawk what I was trying to go for is like a full-hawk. Yeah, and there was even a
Lady in the great clips. She looked to be she was a mother because her daughter was in a great clips
And I'm guessing I'm you know my 40s. She's probably in her late 40s. Maybe even early 50s
But she was getting that type of haircut literally cut her on the sides
Just wiped up in the middle. I had a picture this lady and the lady to cut my hair was nice man
She wasn't even mean we talked and everything and stuff, but I showed her a picture
And I said actually that lady right over there is how I'd like it cut
like right over there
And I wasn't kind of paying attention while she was cutting it and she cut too much off man like way too much off for what I wanted
Yeah, but the and here's what but here's the thing that happened. I went to the wedding
Everybody not everybody, but I'm anybody I knew including Matt the groom
Like legit complimented my compliment in my hair. Yeah, that was good Matt was like
Air, I'm really impressed baby of all the law and but I said like what doesn't mean though that like this isn't the hair I wanted
like
So the hair I wanted
This is I didn't like this. Yeah, and yet literally like five people at the wedding were like that know me
We're like oh nice haircut
Yeah, it's like a normal haircut
That's like a normal dude right and I said to my sister. I was talking to my sister about it
And I said the thing is she's like you'll fit in no one will even question that your head and you're like oh
He was going to a wedding and he got a haircut recently
Yeah, and I said yeah, but I wanted like because I've got a black tie black suit everyone's wearing a suit and tie
I the thing that I can stand out with is my freaking little edge which is my foe hawk and I didn't have that
Well one could argue easis that you stood out more that could be true
Well amongst the people that knew me
Yeah, but then everyone else is just like that's a sharply dressed
Yeah, no, that's my point. That's a funny thing is like you're right. I think in the end everybody was like oh
They're like shocked how good I looked and yet. I was like this isn't even what I want
I don't know. It's just like for me. It was like I almost like a proof of like what I like is definitely not what the people around me think is good
Yeah, like I like what I like doesn't appear to be like meet the approval of most of the people in my circle
And we got single drunk rides maybe well, I was gonna get into this. So if you recall
Kind of the real reason I went to the wedding was supposedly there was this friend, right?
That was yes kind of I was gonna be introduced to I feel bad because I'm doing this on my Facebook. I don't really
want to
The wedding we'll get into the wedding the wedding was incredible by far
By far the night. I'll never I don't know offense to anybody. I know I doubt I will go to a fancier wedding
It was literal. It was very high-end for for just I'll just throw this out
I'm not gonna say in a price none of us know the price but amongst my friends and I
We were they were trying to guess and some people throughout kind of
In the it definitely in the like the six figures like you know six into
Five cat five hundred thousand. You know that's adjusting. I
felt like I think this is more and I think it's where was it at it was in
What's called it was in Bluffton, South Carolina apparently it was in a place called the plume like Plumeto Bluff or something. Oh, yeah
That's a
Justin Bieber got married. Yeah, that's
Like that is of a nice place. Dude apparently celebrities get married here. Yes, that's a nice place for example
The set the the wedding where the reception took place was right by the big big this big clubhouse. Whatever, right?
And it's like I have a picture of it
I kind of post it on my Facebook so you might have seen it but but like this was like the reception for example like it kind of looked like this, right?
Wow
And even after I said well, but this was probably a standing thing that they like that they just put the things down and
A few times a year to do a wedding. They're like no. This was built for the reception. Wow
That's crazy. We had hotels you couldn't park there because it was like deep in this private fucking
Place right so from our hotels
They didn't I thought we were just gonna get like shuttle van like oh the shuttles will pick you up your hotel
So you figure it's gonna be a you know the big caravan kind of whatever that did not get the
The aesthetic no, they're going for charter buses, right, right
And like Friday there was a Friday reception
You know what he good thing you got a normal fucking hair cut. I yeah, right
I don't know if it really would have mattered, but um, but I know what you're saying
But it's like the fanciest thing you're ever
Yeah, no question like so Friday did the welcome party reception
Which was like at a different location than the actual wedding ended up being and like busty and it was like
Forty-minute bus ride into this place where they had some dude and a few guys playing like acoustic guitar
Fucking full on, you know
Just buffet with I mean
Really good loving it. Yeah, I was having a fun time. It was it was fun
So I so my point is I don't want to like
You know in any way. It's what it is. I get it
Um, but I was kind of you know like hey
You're good. There's this front there. I think you could you could bumble-blah
Well, here's the problem Amy and I'm not
She didn't she for whatever she didn't make it to the Friday reception
Which what I some people didn't because there was like you had to be there you couldn't drive in yourself
There was no getting an uber so if you didn't make this this like one
Shuttle or something, you know, so people got in late or whatever
So she wasn't there on Friday
So I look met it all that came down to Saturday and I kind of thought what was gonna happen is I would sit at the table
You know like we'd be at a table and I could talk
And that didn't happen and so then and then I look at again. I get it. I'm not
I always have to say like I know that other people can have better
Swabbness or better confidence whatever you want to call it to to to overcome
The obstacles that I but I need a lot to go my way
I'm sorry, but I've I've got a handy cap when it comes to this and I need
More things to go my way in my opinion and so what happened was is that then that we all said that are
I said at the table with like the friends that I it was nice
It was very nice
I seldom with a lot of these people I have known since 4th grade and long time friends and you don't see that often
I had a fun time
but I knew everyone at that table and then
Kind of midway through the reception after the food was done now the bands playing
um
And I get the bride has a tongue going on. I'm not
Necessarily expecting much
But she kind of just came over and said hey hey here's so-and-sell and now it was a fucking loud Amy
And I I'm trying to talk to her, but she can't hear what I'm saying
And we're sitting there and then she kind of wanders off eventually to talk to some friends and I just
I didn't have any it just didn't feel like any
I don't know. It felt very tough for me. It was very because then she wandered over to some friends
That she knew she's sitting at a table with three or four other people and they all know each other
I guess and
Later in the evening they had a the band stopped at like 10 right
And they had a post kind of there was a thing where you could take a 10 a 10
Shuttle back to your hotel or an 1130 shuttle back to your hotel
So there was like a posting there was supposed to be a bonfire, but unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate
So they just went back to where the cocktail hour was and stuff and we fought
We did have a moment there where we talked for about
Maybe 15 20 minutes
And it was generally an okay conversation. We had some things in common
And then about 11 20 hit her friend came up and said hey the the shot
I didn't realize that was happening actually just I just realized what happened later because after about 10 minutes
I thought oh like I almost missed my fucking bus because I lost track of time
But that's what happened it was probably about 10 minutes before the the
The bus was taking us back to the hotel her friend came up
And she said oh and that was it she walked away with her
She got on the bus and that was it and the next train journey and boom no, but there here's the thing
She lives on the west she lives out in San Diego. Oh, she's about to move to Seattle for new job
I'm where I am
And it's like they're just like it for me
I'm not saying something would happen if it if this didn't happen
But if she had maybe been there Friday or maybe she'd been at my table and I could have got like a little more
Like yeah
Just friends of the of of uh maps
So like it was like kids I went I met Matt at fourth grade. I
Sure most some people read my long rambling post, but most people want to but I met Matt in fourth grade
And so like there's about
Four or five people that I still know from that
Era of my life this monastery. I went to so my whole table
Was those people people I met from this monastery back in fourth grade
Because because Matt
Because she was part of her friends and it was said this was a huge wedding as far as I'm as far as I can tell how many people were there like massive
And so like I said, I'm not trying to make excuses necessarily, but I really
Thought I was gonna get more of a chance to like
Talk before it was just like now we're drunk in the bands on and it's just for me. That's tough. That was I
Talked to somebody. I'm not
And then it was like it felt like at that point
I think also Amy what had happened was it was like on my mind
I got a little weird in my head about it because now we're sitting here. We she was there
You know, I hadn't really met her Friday. I didn't know who she's I didn't know who she was
I know it's like no one ever came even up to me and even like
Mickey or Matt in the cocktail outer could it came up to me maybe and been like hey, there's that girl over there or something
And that's partially my fault too. I could have been a more proactive
But I kind of thought they were just gonna like at one point kind of early on be like oh and by the way
You know, this is so-and-so and I thought you guys might get whatever
I don't know what people say to to do in those moments
But it didn't happen so but at time I got introduced to her. I was in kind of a weird space where I just like
I don't know. I was feeling kind of down about it because I kind of was like man
I thought this was not that I thought it was just gonna be like lined up. I don't I get it. Yeah, I get it
I get weird saying yeah, I wasn't looking for someone like just like oh teed off and you just walk
Hey, I'm fit. I'm Eric and it was like oh, let's go back to my room. Yeah, but I thought there was gonna be a little more like
Introduction when it wasn't so crazy
so
That's it we we talked for about 20 minutes and like I said that conversation with okay
And I felt like we did have some things in common. She was and she was good looking and stuff but like the
Like I said about 10 minutes before that
One of the buses went to take us home her friend kind of came up
Got her and that's just kind of where it ended and I just okay
And uh, how was tiger or uh oh real quick
I get I just one one thing. I want to get something else with the with the wedding and the and the plane right out there
I made it joke on my Facebook about this but I still want to talk about it
um
Like I had to
Rather rough flights um, so when I flew down there I flew to um from Detroit to
Maryland and then it was really annoying. I was to be to be cheap. I I flew
And they're essentially being too like you could fly down if you flow direct to Savannah
I'd be like two and a half hours, but instead I took a two-hour flight to you know
Maryland and a two-hour flight from Maryland to Savannah
Both flights were pretty rough like there was some legit turbulence
And I just like it just I kind of put a joke on on Facebook, but I I was like I love all that shit
But that was one of the rougher flights I've had. There's no way where the pilot came on
I said like I know this feels really bad here guys. It kind of feels scary. I promise we're fine. We're gonna be okay
blah blah blah and I'm just like it's so crazy like you have that friend that was involved in that crazy
Plain yeah, yeah incident in in Canada where the plane tipped over on it's right upside down
I'm on the way and she's hanging from it and all that goes through my mind
Like I love everything about travel and the minute there's a real legit turbulence
The level of anger at myself of like why am I doing this? Why didn't I drive?
Why would I leave myself up to this fucking
Southwest pilot to for my life when in reality you're way safer
I know way safer
Like I saw something recently where I mean I don't even I can it has been so long
So so long since a plane crashed from actual turbulence right it just doesn't happen. No, it doesn't doesn't happen
they might they might
Realize that a storm is coming through that's worse than they thought in land early right maybe right
But actually crashing from turbulence doesn't happen. No, no
And it's like but you know what's funny? I
We remember when you tell that story of people a lot of people say the same thing
They think like with flying the reason is is in your mind. You don't have the control right?
You're just sitting there and we have no idea either like right
We have no concept of whether or not what they're going through is like normal
Or if it's like
You know right if it's as normal as us turning on the fucking windshield wipers
I asked I remember if I don't know if you're doing a podcast then because we took a little break one winner
But when I went my parents to Minnesota
We had kind of a little rough moment there on our flight too
And I asked I mean there was a TDC listener that is like commercial pilot and I've asked him a few questions one time
And I asked him that time I was like it's like
If it's like turbulence like what does it feel like up there and how bad does it need to be and he was just like
What did you just said like face it like dude?
There is almost nothing that could take a plane down. Yeah, you can get struck by lightning
Right, right. Yeah, I suppose if you flew into a tornado, you know what I mean
But like really you know those like way lower than where you're flying. Yeah, yeah exactly
No exactly so it's like but like the funny thing is the perception is that I don't have control
Because I'm sitting in this chair but but really think about when you're driving down
Let's say I decided I don't want to fly because I'm scared of turbulence
I'm going to drive down to Savannah. Well, you think you have any control there really
Some dude who's in the rough side of your lane who ended up getting plastered at the bar
Right looking at their phone. It just fun way more opportunities to for something to happen to you
I said to my parents on the way home from our flight was I on the way home from our flight from Florida was like
There are literally deaths in auto accidents every single fucking day
All the time there are not from plane crashes
No, there's not but when you're in a plane if you've ever had kind of some severe turbulence
Yeah, that's where I think most people's thoughts go to although sometimes I like to look around
And you'll see like we were on this plane where like I said the pilot and I'm coming out and trying to calm us down
And you still look around and you see some people just fucking zong down
They don't have no idea
Can you imagine probably think they're on a roller coaster in their name and you just died
All right, you just had no idea
No idea just went to bed just went to bed on a plane and then you're dead
I mean, that's how everyone wants to go right you just go to sleep. It is
I don't know any better. There is no better way to go. Yeah, no better way
I have one more thing before I get into tigers stuff
I wanted to bring this up because I of course
being the
somewhat passive person I try to be Amy I once again
Bought some and I know Mike there's never familiar with what these things work, but I bought some
Profilactics, you know, okay in preparation for something happening at the wedding. We're ready
Right, and I and I've thought about this for a long time
I would be you know how disgusted I would be at how much money I've technically probably bought on condoms in my life
versus the amount of uses they've done
The amount of times I have like oh, I'm going to Vegas for a weekend better by a three pack of condoms just in case
Or like like I because they always end up not having them. I always whenever I buy them
Let's say a buying for a trip to Vegas like I said back in the day or something
They always end up just gonna getting kind of either lost or they're just in my back and now they're like
Fucking weird or I spill some shit on them. So I like
Spire
They do technically spider. I don't know how long they last but there is an expiration day
And so it just another I don't know. It's just a thought that I had where I'm like how many
Fucking
Versus the amount that I've gotten used it's so little like it's so fucking little
I remember I would buy them even like I'm going up the Mac and offer a weekend or something like back in the day
Like same thing like oh, I'm going up the boy with the Kennedys. Hey, I want to be taught flat footity. I
I'm certainly prepared
If there's a record for like the most condoms bought without use
I feel like I have to be in there like
I have to be close. I feel like
By the way real quick, I'm gonna throw this in there. Amy devil get a tiger talk
If anyone is joining the Facebook live, I'm gonna throw this again out there
I'm trying to drum up business on the patreon page
On the people that have supported the patreon of the last two years or last year and a half have been amazing
And I really super appreciate it
But if you're looking you've been looking for an excuse to join it
Uh, May 2nd Saturday May 2nd
Anybody that's a $5 member or higher
I'm going to do a viewing party at the Fati Manor for my the jackass video that my buddies and I
Made way back in 2008
Evision social disease you can come over to a manor will have food and snacks and drinks and we will watch
This ridiculous video that we made back then that is
Very cringey in reality and the humor
You know, it's I mean I stand by that I thought it was funny at the time
But it's just a lot of just generic juvenile sex jokes in reality
You know what I mean just a lot of that a lot of
Fucking joking about dicks and whatnot, but you can watch it and you can come with a bunch of other
Patreon people and check it out
All right now to our my tiger town which I'm actually wearing my tiger town shirt. Nice. You can see
My dad
We did come out of this pretty good. We ended up getting like so like
This is one of I hate free shirts. You know when I was like, oh who wants a t-shirt
I suck. Yeah, when I was seven. I always fucking of course you thought you needed it
You were willing to fucking yell my lungs out. I guarantee you still didn't have
No, I don't anymore. Well, you know what? I don't anymore. I just don't because I don't I know I'm not gonna wear them
Yeah
In my thing this is actually large by the way, but my thing is not even the size
but like
There's oh, it's mainly usually just a huge sponsor
Just on there. Yeah, there is actually no sponsorship on these tershirts. They gave away. Look at if you look
Got the palm trees. Yeah, tiger town
No sponsorship on this. None nice. We sat down. We were sitting in our seats in the second game. We went to
It was funny because the tigers they they tied four or four you can tie in the
I'd realize after going to this. I never even watched the spring training game. I've never
looked into what Lakeland looked like
I didn't know anything about anything. I just knew they happened
Like I didn't even realize that Lakeland Florida was like in central Florida and there's like nothing around it
Yeah, it's like super remote
And the problem is it yes, it's only an hour from Tampa an hour from
Orlando, but the traffic is horrendous if you try to do that
So it's like not really the most fun thing to try to do in a day
So there's not much around Lakeland Florida. It's a central Florida. Right
And um, so we went to two games one they tied against the blue jays one they uh end up beating the Phillies
Because they had a ten run six ending
Which was crazy
And so we were sitting these seats and after that ten running run ending we said like hey, let's
Move over to a different place just to watch from a different area
There was also like closer to like the exit so we could get to the car faster because it was and stuff
And we sit down in these seats randomly and they're like who wants a t-shirt and fucking half an ending
We watch the half an ending then they do it and the shirt lands right by my fucking dad's feet
Right on his feet
And another thing that Amy actually I know you saw because you commented on it
That is that we did make the big screen to me
I knew he was gonna
And the thing was Amy I knew he was gonna get us
Because the guy had been holding the camera kind of by us
So I got ready with my phone did I try to record us on the screen?
I don't know why
I don't know why baby labs are but you're just like
I know
And it's just so funny for some some reason. I've discussed this. I genuinely laughed out loud when I watched
I've discussed this recently with like people like because I've when I've gone to games
I think when I went with my brother to a game hockey game over the when he was back and this and that
And it's like I don't know what it is
You know, especially this day and age with cell phones and Instagram and all this stuff
But if you go to an event and they have the big screen
People fucking love seeing themselves on the big screen. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah
I 98% of people
Once in a while you get some person who realizes they're on the screen and just sits there
Yeah, but like 98% of the people
You'll see them and often sometimes they know they're about to be on it because they're dancing
But sometimes you're just sitting there like you know, just chatting with their friend and someone goes
Eventually someone points up and then they just are waving their
Yeah, it's that's better than being like oh
Yeah, like acting surprised or going like this or no, I know
Well, for some of the people they're cheating on their cheating on their
Right those people they're best thing those people could have done is just act like nothing happened
Nobody would have fucking known the people were no one would have said anything
But the problem is
Actually, it's our guilty, you know guilty people know they're guilty. Yeah, it was all the reaction because the singer said something
If they would have just acted normally he wouldn't say anything no one would have known
No one would have known
Both of their lives
All life but humans being humans and and just they knew they knew and they're mine. There was like oh shit
So I remember one time when I went to Chicago to the Tigers game for a Tigers weekend
Which was the actually infamous weekend of the
Chicago story there
But I remember I did not tell my mom I was going to Chicago at all
I just because I I didn't have any money. I did not deserve to be going. I was I credit
It was all on a credit card. I was working at Meyer. I was basically
I know reason I should have been going
So I didn't want to tell them that and that's why that's the only reason because it's like how is there going to Chicago for a weekend
He doesn't have any money. Yeah
And we one time at one point we snuck down into seats behind the dugout and I remember thinking that like hopefully my parents
Don't watch it happened to see me on the tee
Because like we were kind of right behind the dugout
Yeah, and it didn't happen but I but I remember thinking it I remember thinking like I don't know like see me
Yeah
So anyway, um
Anyway, generally only went great. It was so fun that we ended up I ended up getting a few
So we got three
Balls in the end
Pratt betting practice balls, but two of them we got super lucky
So like how it works? We thought and I'd run on the internet and that they did this
But apparently they don't always do it. So like the game was at one doors open to the park at 11
But we I had read that there's like you can go up it show up at like nine thirty ten
And there's like practice from ten to twelve or they just practice on the field and I guess that's like hit or miss
Whether they allow people to watch it or not or this whatever, but they weren't doing it
And so now where they're fucking early where they like ten a.m
The gates don't even open to eleven and the games at one
But we found out by walking around the stadium that there is one field one of their fields they have because they have about five different fields plus the actual stadium
We found out for you one of the dudes working the parking lot like oh no
Those sometimes do betting practice on this one and he said oh yeah, they got the things set up
So he sat there and we sat in what would be right field or left field yeah
And they just had a big net and we just sat there and they just started cranking them
And all of a sudden like one just hit the net and fell down like ten feet by me. I'm like oh shit
Nice
No, because it was so far away you couldn't yeah because this isn't in the stadium
They don't like they're yeah, and and then my dad and I were my dad and my parents were talking these people from Canada
By the way fucking Toronto fans
Showed up there was like half the stadium was Toronto fans
And I know I could compare it to the Philly fans when we were on there on Friday
There was so many Toronto fans and so you're talking these Toronto guys and this and that and I already got a ball
And so another one plop down and my dad picked it off and said you know give it to them
It'll be kind of cool. They're they're not plus they've been talking about they fell a little bad coming down to America because the whole Canada
I don't give a fuck but I know they didn't really care
But they yeah, it was a talk topics. I'm like hey throw them. I'm like dad give that to them
So like they say you can see an American look at a nice American giving us a ball
And karma because literally that ball fell down. I'm like my dad got him like he gave it to them
You give them seconds later another one hit and my dad picked that one
And then I feel bad I feel cooler about this one
But like the second game I wouldn't and then when we once we walked into the stadium
We went to left field same thing and the first game
The Tigers are bad in practice, but they were try to wise and they're just
Raking them because it's bad in practice and how it's set up is it's just like a lawn and you're standing
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, and I didn't get any the first day
um
It just it's like it was to prompt for me was there was so many people they're trying
And it was almost like a lottery yeah because like you sit there and and three balls go over here
And you think should I move should I stay yeah, but it's like there's no running out running kids
Right, right, and so the second game I was there and I had a few that was close to but men some of these people were not
Did you have a man? Oh, yeah, I did I did have a minute and some of these people were not fucking around
But finally what a big fucking high one came and I didn't catch it in the air
But it bounced off that back this back wall and there was people around me
So it wasn't like it was totally like, you know, whatever. Yes, I did not catch it in the air
But it bounced off the fucking thing and I just boom into my men. I was like fuck yeah
Fuck yeah
And I know it sounds bad, but I was gonna be kind of disappointed if I didn't get one. Yeah, like that day
Did you like wait around and get any autographs or anything or you know what?
I came close my mom was getting it's gotten really into the autographs and I'm kind of like I just don't care
Yeah, I know it sounds dumb. I don't really care about autographs anymore for the most part
I'm not saying I wouldn't get one but my mom was into it
The tigers weren't really signing for the most part because
What would happen is the tigers would do all their practice and the then the opposing team would come out
now
Not schoolable, but torque came out in the second game and also he we realized we didn't know who it was at first
But he was signing a few things and we're like fuck that was torque
And then he went down and he was signing right by the dugout and I said finally I was like okay
I'll do it. My mom cares about this. I don't really care, but I'll do it
And I went down and unfortunately like about two people before me they had this he you know
It was time to get going or something, but but torque was signing, which was really nice of him
He signed about 10 12 autographs. I'd say and I didn't get to see we didn't get to see any of the big guys
Well, and the second game a lot of people played, but we our pictures were
We're Casey Mise and
And
What's the fucking other guy's name afe because of an afe. I don't remember the new guy
No, not the new guy unfortunately
But did you see JV we did not see JV so if he was there, I don't know, but we didn't see him
But we but it was a blast it was so fucking cool
I would say you know for anybody that if you're a baseball fan you have to do it at least once
Unfortunately, I wish the tigers were in a place where you could hit more games up that were closer by
Like if you go more by Tampa
There's a few teams that are kind of closer to each other where you could see if you maybe go to like few different stadiums
You know instead of just I'm going to the one
We did we did go on we did go on some uh the only that sucked at me. I will tell you this one thing that sucked was
Friday when I'm in char when I'm in fucking Savannah. I go in this walking tour
It's like 80 fucking degrees humidious fuck I'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt and I'm sweating right
And then Saturday it got a little chillier
Sunday it was fucking cold and then when we came when they came down to Florida it was like
50s Tuesday morning
We had lined up to go on this like boat tour of this area and winter haven
And it's like ended up being like 50 fucking degrees. Oh my god. We're on this boat tour
Wearing our hood. I didn't even have a coat. I'm just wearing a hoodie and luckily they had blankets
Oh my god
But um we did so we did a did that we went on some nature walk and we did see some alligators
That's the main thing you got to see some fucking alligators right if you go to yeah, yeah, it's awesome alligators
I have one other thing I'm gonna say here about the trip and I I don't know if this is something you do
With your mom and now you're stuck dad
I've talked to you before about the idea of going on trips with your parents and it's very I'm glad I do it
They enjoy it
But like everything we're all adults at this point. Yeah, like fucking things that you like right you want to do it this way everyone yeah
There's no like that's the one thing almost about maybe we're going some younger people
It's maybe it's more chill maybe you're just more like whatever but everyone's got input right and one thing
I know it sounds mean because it's my mother she birthed me
But the fucking questions the questions so I know what did they say what did he say what was done my god
You know what I get so used to when I spend multiple time what multiple days and are always my parents. I just I don't know
Yeah
How far was that ball hit or I'm trying to think of like examples. Yeah, right right. Oh, what was that sign there?
I don't know yeah, I just I just say I don't know almost into like 80% of things
Versus like even versus like trying to get mad like it's it's me trying not to say like wow totally
Oh
My mom is so infamous for doing that like
We'll be in a conversation just the two of us. She's not in it at all. She's just generally somewhere in the vicinity where she hear
Right, yes, yes, and she'll be like what'd you say?
Don't think we are talking dad and I are like maybe and we're like looking at a tree. Yeah, yeah, yeah
What's out there? Yeah, it's like hey miracle ears. No one's fucking talking to you
Yeah, for sure, and so I'm just like I just the level or the point where I just get used to saying I don't know
Like to things even if I know even if I do know
What I'm just like I don't know
I don't know and I'll and then I'll so I've been having said it having said that they were they were really happy
And this this one was nice. I mean we got we got we're down there a long time
It was it was it was it did finally warm up the last game we went to you know was 80
Or something during the game and that was crazy cool. I have one last thing. I'm gonna say Amy
Nothing to do with that trip, but I've decided my
um
I got for a gift when I officiated the wedding on the island they gave me a few things and one of them
I don't really know necessarily why this was a thing officiants would have
But I don't really care. It's still a nice gift a very nice
um
Will would essentially be a journal like it says offician on it, but like you could write journal things in there and like date
You know on yada yada and I'm trying to do more and more like I wasn't gonna talk about I was gonna talk about at some point
But it's not gonna be this episode, but I'm but I've already referenced several times about how I'm doing less social media less scrolling yada yada
So I thought I finally I meant to do this earlier and I didn't do it in the year, but finally I hit me
I should do it. I was watching something on about kids in schools like these days and how like
So many people don't even write anymore and I thought to myself like I don't write anymore like I don't write anymore
It's always just notes in my phone, you know, whatever and so that and I thought I wouldn't be the bad idea to start doing it
so
Every day since
February 15th, so we're going on almost almost 15 days here. I have written a daily journal now. I write
In my journal what I did that day and I don't know if it's as entertaining as the one the infamous one back in my
I wonder if there's any better
well here and no
And of course not and and here's the one thing I'm trying to do in me. So I've now done about two weeks
Right, right? I've done it about two just over two weeks
So starting tomorrow. I'm gonna try to start saying to myself. I have to focus on writing it
So it's even remote so it's even like legible. Yeah, it's so
I mean, I'm proud of myself. I think it's a good thing to do like writing something down once a day on a piece of paper and with an actual pen and
You know, I know stuff at beginning by the way when I the first few days I did it as my hand would fucking be so yeah for sure
Because I don't fucking do it anymore. Yeah, write anything down ever anymore. Yeah
And so and so my hand but my goal now is okay, I've done it two weeks
Now I go is like try to make like I'm not saying this be perfect, but try to make this like
What more legible and like I how I write like that is pretty much like all caps
You know, and then I just like there's no real paragraphs, but there's just like breaks
Where I think the sentence maybe was like too weird or like the letters went bled loop over into the line into the line too low, you know what I mean?
So like they're just random
punctuation
No
No, they're just sentenced to everything's a sentence
Everything is just a sentence
Sometimes maybe a comma, but oh my god just one big run on sentence
No, I don't know how to use anything and I barely know how to use a comma. You know in reality
No, in reality if you told me right now how to use an ellipsey
I can kind I can kind of use I can kind of use um a parentheses
You know what I mean? I kind of get the idea of how I could use a parentheses
But like period
I have me too much. Yeah, I couldn't fucking use like I said a semi colon or a fucking
Dash or whatever. I don't know whatever the things are. I don't know how to fucking use any of them
It's so ridiculous. I've told people before I've barely graduated high school
I have no
Reason to feel superior superiority and any capacity to anybody
Educationalized and hey, you know what Amy? What a great fucking
What a great fucking way to end it really but if you if you want to see and look at the new journal and see these ridiculous run-on sentences
That I've been writing about have kind of come a member for five dollars a month
And then you could also come to the manner of Saturday, May 2nd and watch the jacket the dumb jacket of the video that my friends
And I made way back in 2008 and you can see me
Dressing up and doing stupid pranks and stores
And shit like that and being stupid and making jokes. They would definitely give me canceled these days
Um, but it's it's but yeah, and I I can bring down the new journal and you can see him and I have no excuse why this is badly spelled
nor Grammarically incorrect it like none none 40 I'll be 42 by the time you fucking come over
Yep, and it will be that bad and you can see it
I'm just coming up. Yeah. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. I'm not gonna do shit. I don't even fucking care
Yeah, I'm gonna be traveling on Rocky's birthday. I was like I'm not gonna be here. Sorry. Yeah, I'm gonna be here
You mean Grand Rapids. Yeah, yeah, I I don't you know what I don't care
You know what we've talked about this before I don't not care like I don't if people say happy birthday
I'm not like it's not just an arctic
I just don't really care like in a sense that like you know it's too bad
So I'll say this year mine is on a Saturday
A lot of times in my life. Oh, you know what I was I will get in this another time. I drink at the wedding
I think it once again reinforced why I'm pretty much
As getting closer and closer to drinking being a thing in the past
That was the first time I drank in the new year for one
I hadn't had a beer since I think when I went to Charlotte with my see my buddies matting them
And you know what happened Amy and this isn't the reason it's not like
But like I legit kind of got drunk like once we started the cocktail hours
I started drinking and I was having beers and I won after another and you know what as I've gotten older
Now when I was younger it was a bigger deal. I think I got
Plastered easier for one. I got to the place where I didn't care easier
But also like when I got younger I did get more social. I really did
Then I'd be talking to anybody in a room and this and that I as I've gotten older my anxiety gets really
Stronger when I get drunk and so like there was a point where Mrs. Kennedy
You know where the wedding and I'm even drinking and Mrs. Kennedy came up to like dance with me
She's like oh come on fairy come to I hate dancing
I and you know what Amy I will tell you this. I know that something that hurts me when it comes to
Girls because I just I'm it's the only thing in my fucking life. I'm so self conscious about
And I get it
But I hate it and my point is saying that is like I I was drinking for a few hours at this point
And I wasn't drunk enough to like dance with Mrs. Kennedy and not feel like self-conscious
And it didn't give me anymore social I didn't with this girl
I didn't go it wasn't like it but I just I don't get more social anyway
And let's I just don't it's I just get more anxiety
Yeah, and then I just wake up the next day feeling like shit
And it didn't really like I did nothing that nothing happened at the wedding
Now this one to been the case 20 years ago when I was 25 that wouldn't have been the case if I'd gone to this wedding at 25
I would have brought thrown up but I would have been talking to people
I would have made 10 friends on Facebook, you know what I mean
But like as I've gotten older it just not the case nothing I did during that wedding would have been any different if I was a hundred percent sober
Yeah, and so I think that's more why I'm
Backing off the drinking because it's like I don't think it does that for me anymore. Yeah, it doesn't do what it used to do
Yeah, anyway, yeah, but
Oh, they say anyway. Hey, so yeah. Oh, so uh join join the patreon page
You can come the manner Sunday Saturday February Saturday May 2nd
I'll only be a few weeks away before I head off to the trip to
Uh, you're up in all that shit. So all right, Amy. Yeah, dude. I mean I only got 12 weeks
12 less than 12 weeks now nice. So I like I'll go to Europe for we for a few months. So that would be crazy
Um, all right, Amy. Thanks for being with me today and I appreciate it
Appreciate all the people watching. I think there were a few people actually watching today, which is cool
Um, and that that I'll do it um, and then we'll be back in a few weeks for a
Patreon page at patreon episode and hopefully some people who want to come over to
The manner in May will be listening. So that will do it. All righty. See
