The Philadelphia Eagles have restructured Kicker Jake Elliott's contract, freeing up some
cap space now while locking him in for a tenth season in.
2026.
This move Alpa guarantees the veteran stays put, even as younger Kickers around the league,
push boundaries with longer, more accurate field goals.
Elliott holds franchise records and helped win two Super Bowls with clutch postseason
kicks, earning him a spot in the team's Hall of Fame someday.
But his form has dipped lately.
Over the last two seasons, he's lagged behind the pack, hitting just 33% from 50 yards
or more and falling below league averages.
On field goals overall, while others nailed a record number from 60 plus.
The Eagles might add competition and camp, but with cap commitments elsewhere, they're
banking on Elliott to rebound on mid-range tries to avoid a weak spot next year.
