Eagles Sign Dameon Pierce, Boosting Running Back Group

The Philadelphia Eagles made waves on Thursday by signing two veteran players to one year

deals.

First, they agreed to terms with tight-end stone smart, adding some experience to their

offense.

Right after, they brought in running back Damien Pierce, a 26-year-old former fourth-round

pick.

Pierce started his career with the Houston Texans after they drafted him out of Florida

in 2022.

He spent three and a half seasons there before finishing the 2025 season with the Kansas

City Chiefs.

At five feet 10 inches and 215 pounds, he's built for a power roll.

Fans and analysts see this as a boost for the Eagles already stacked running back group,

which includes Saquon Barkley, Tang Bigsby, Will Shipley, and Carson Steel.

Pierce could compete for the number three spot, especially after former Eagle AJ Dillon

signed with the Carolina Panthers this week.

Here shown brightest as a rookie, rushing for 939 yards and four touchdowns in just 13

games, plus 30 catches for one, 165 yards and another score.

His production dipped after that, with four 16 yards in 2023, 293 in 2024, and limited.

Carries last year, the Eagles actually tried to land Pierce back in November, but he went

to Kansas City instead.

Now he's in Philly, giving their backfield even more depth as they gear up for the season.
