Eagles Sign Marquise Brown for Depth

NFL stories making news on March 17th. The Philadelphia Eagles just signed

wide receiver Marquis Hollywood Brown to a one-year deal worth up to $6,500,000.

Brown, a former first-round pick by the Ravens, had a solid season with the chiefs

catching 49 passes for 5.87 yards. Five touchdowns while still getting

opening as defenders. The Eagles already boasts a strong duo in AJ.

Brown and Devata Smith, who have combined for impressive numbers lately,

was Smith alone racking up 145 catches for 1,000. 841 yards and 12 scores since his extension.

That said, AJ Brown could be traded after June 1st when his cap had dropped sharply,

leaving a potential gap in the lineup. To build depth behind their stars,

Philly targeted Brown, especially with young guys like injured Johnny Wilson

recovering from a torn ACL and second-year Darius Cooper showing promise.
