The first in human study, an early safety and a feasibility study of a novel, Catholic-delivered polymeric leaflet valve in an Arctic stenosis introduced the Segalia valve in 12 patients with severe Arctic stenosis. The study showed a favorable chemodynamics and an acceptable safety profile at one year. Although long-term durability has yet to be established.
