Before you settle in, what is ad dropper hold?
You guys have responded in a big way to my tweet.
This one went real quick.
Like real quick.
I put this tweet out a half hour.
That's it.
One half hour ago.
Look at that.
In a half hour.
That's crazy.
I guess you guys are in your playoff semi finals and you're feeling a little stressed.
That's fine.
They're all sphincters all puckered up.
I feel you.
Hold it in.
Unpucker friends for we will conquer.
We will solve these puzzles together as we go through the 10 names that you guys
threw at me that I thought were kind of the hardest ones.
Honestly, I tried to pick the toughest ones and we'll see what we can turn up.
I'm going to continue to try to answer some more over on Twitter.
So if you follow over there and throw your name at me, maybe you get an answer.
Or maybe someone else is wondering about the same guy.
First name we're going to talk about is Tari Eason.
Also, by the way, I'm going to talk about each one of these guys from both a
Roto and a head to head standpoint.
Tari's in this year.
It's just been a weird season.
You know, I can't put quite put my finger on it.
For 127 in nine category leagues this year.
Doesn't make any sense playing minutes 26 minutes.
It should be enough.
He just can't shoot.
He's at 43% from the field 70 at the foul line.
Steels and blocks are fine.
1.9 combined.
He's taking a lot of three pointers now, which is not exactly my favorite thing.
It just hasn't really clicked the way that it has in the past.
Rebounds and steals was always the name of the game.
And it's just not enough of them right now.
So Roto, I'm going to hold on.
I still think that the best is yet to come for this dude.
I know we only have like four to half weeks or whatever is left of the regular season.
About five I guess today's recording this on Monday.
Something good is going to happen.
It's got to happen.
How could it not?
This is still the same guy with the understanding that he might just be a top 120 guy this year.
Head to head.
I actually think.
So I actually the games cap is the tougher call.
Do I continue to use a roster spot on him?
Or do I go find somebody else that's fun that's floating around on the wire?
Head to head is actually the easier side on Tari Usen.
They have a back-to-back Tuesday Wednesday.
And then they play one time over the final four days this week.
If you stretched it into early next week, they go two times over six days.
Schedule next week for the Rockets is not bad.
Lakers twice Monday Wednesday and then Atlanta, I am on Friday Saturday.
But again.
There are a lot of teams that go four times over those six days.
Or if you wanted to shorten it and just say three times over the four games.
That are four days that where they only have the one game against New Orleans on Friday.
Upgrade in a head to head.
After Wednesday.
Upgrade Tari Usen on the head to head side.
Roto.
Again, I'm holding on.
I still think something good is going to happen while I also admit that that.
Might be totally wrong.
That was submitted by Richard Zhang, one nine seven.
Next name on the board is Jalen Smith.
This is submitted by Scotty Mensa.
Magnet if he's magnet if he's Scotty.
Jalen Smith.
Yeah.
You know, kind of came out of nowhere.
Didn't he just popped up and was playing again all of a sudden.
After missing a few games with this same nagging.
Soft tissue stuff.
Jalen Smith, I think actually of all the names on today's.
Chat is probably the easiest one for me to answer, but I wanted to get him in there because.
He just sort of popped up at a nowhere.
Like, yeah, this guy's going to be out for a while.
Then all of a sudden he was just playing again.
So.
I was like, all right.
Well, I guess we better just cover him because I've been so pro Jalen Smith on this show for so long.
But now it's head to head playoff season head to head side.
No chance.
Do not add Jalen Smith.
There's absolutely no reason.
Yeah, I know they've got three games at four nights Tuesday through Friday.
There's no chance he's playing in all in all four of those or all three of those.
Excuse me.
Because then they go off Saturday, Sunday afterwards.
So there's just like.
No advantage to Jalen Smith and head to head.
Roto games capside.
I think I would probably pick him up and hold him again.
Because I do think at some point he's going to get up to like 24 minutes a game.
Now, if they hold him at 19, 20 indefinitely, then you move on.
You know, if we're like three or four games into his return from the same nagging calf stuff.
And he's still at 20 minutes, then we'll drop him.
But if it starts to inch up 22, 23, 24, something like that, then I'd make sure that he's on my Roto team.
Because I don't care if he takes days off.
I just I want Jalen Smith playing 24 minutes.
He'll be one of the better options you could have out there on the wire.
I don't think we needed to look at stats for him.
We've talked about Jalen Smith so many times on this show over the last few weeks.
You guys know all the good things he can do.
The question is, will he be healthy enough to do them?
My guess is probably not, but maybe we get there.
Because again, there's a difference between if you're ahead to head, you're thinking about the next two to six days.
And if you're in Roto, you're thinking about the next four weeks.
There's a difference.
It's not a long term thing, but it's, you know, it's like immediate versus medium term.
Next one on the list is Derek Queen submitted by Michael or Michele.
We kill Cara six or Michael Cara six.
Sorry if I butchered it.
I'm sure one of those two is close.
Miguel could be.
Derek Queen.
I think you can drop him everywhere.
If there's any place left where you might consider holding on to him.
It would be in a Roto games cap league where you're like, maybe when the pelicans are fully officially 100%
actually eliminated, then they just turn it over to the young guys.
And it's not that far out there 10 and a half games out of the final play in spot in the Western conference.
Now admittedly, they're playing better than a lot of the teams at the bottom of the play in picture in the Western conference.
But it's not going to be that much better.
We're 66 games into the season for New Orleans.
They've got 16 games to make up 10.
That's freaking impossible.
Unless the Blazers, the Grizzlies and the Mavs basically all lose every single game the rest of the year.
This thing is over for the pells and at some point mathematically, that's going to make sense.
What when is that?
I don't know a week two weeks something like that.
That's when you might start to see more Derek Queen again when they're like, all right, okay, okay.
We're out of it.
Let's start to.
We're going to ratchet down Zion.
We're going to ratchet down Tray Murphy.
We don't need to go.
We don't need to go small.
We can let Derek Queen make some mistakes.
So I do think there's probably a week or two coming up at the very, very, very tail end of the season where you get.
A better Derek Queen run coming up.
But right now, and this is over the last week, I can extend it to three weeks if you want.
Queen has been bad.
And the top two hundred ten point six boards, two and a half assists, bad percent or bad feel goal percent.
Too many turnovers.
No, three deals blocks are not all that high.
It's not worth it.
They got a pretty good schedule this week.
So if you've made it this far, you're probably just.
Oh, sorry.
Good schedule next week.
I should say this week they have a terrible schedule flip, flop it best press.
So it's really easy calling head to head like no reason for you to hold them during a two game week.
If you wanted to have him for a four game week next week and somebody dropped him this week.
All right.
That's like you could do worse.
But again, if you're going to, if you're going to hold on it with Roto, I wouldn't expect anything good out of him before week 24.
So like March 30th, last two weeks of the season, something like that.
If you get anything better, then just consider it gravy.
And head to head.
He's a very clear drop.

Steph Curry.
Hannah HNG 9 green.
Henning.
Yeah.
So here's the thing.
I get it.
It's the it's the head to head playoffs, but I'm going to do this podcast assuming that every single one of you has at least one.
I L slot.
Right.
Every leg out there has one.
If you're in a league with zero I L slots, you got to change links because there's too many guys they get hurt in the NBA right now.
You like everybody's going to be dropping superstars all the time.
The only way you could maybe have a league like that is if it's like an eight teamer.
And so there's just literally superstars on the wire because there isn't enough room on rosters for everybody.
But 12 teamers 10 12 14 whatever.
I assume you have one injured slide.
And in such a slot.
Should belong.
And I just don't think that this one's really up for debate.
He's a top 10 fantasy player.
It doesn't really matter how long he's out.
You hold.
And if the issue is that you're out of I L slots find someone else to drop.
Someone else.
Like unless you like if you have Steph and Tyree's maxi.
That's and you only have one I L slot.
That's where you might have to drop Steph.
Every other scenario.
Steph stays.
There's no one else good enough.
That needs the I L slot more than Steph does.
The next best player who is I L eligible that might play again this year is probably Joel and bead.
You'd have to drop you have to drop him instead.
But then you like working all the way down the board.
I L plus I guess is this is where the confusion comes in.
How do you decide who to I L plus between like Stefan.
Fricking tray Murphy or Kevin Porter Jr.
Or something like that.
You drop the guy who's not a top eight fantasy player.
You drop the guy who doesn't carry your team.
I know it's annoying.
I get it.
I know you're in the playoffs or near the end of the regular season.
I have Steph on a team and it's super annoying and I just try not to think about it.
At least for me.
It's a games cap rodo league so I can just like hold my breath.
Close my eyes and hope that he shows back up again soon.
He's too good to drop.
Unless they rule him out for the year, which I don't think they're going to do because.
He keeps telling the team he's coming back.
He said it.
I'm going to climb to believe him.
And then non Steph warriors are playing very hard.
So it kind of makes me feel like they think he's coming back to.
And they're just trying to tread water until he does so.
Brock Center says Jalen Wells.
Here's another one that really explores the dichotomy between head to head and rodo head to head.
He's a must add player for the next five days because the Grizzlies play basically all of them.
It doesn't really matter how bad a guy is.
And Jalen Wells has actually been pretty good over the last couple of weeks.
He's shooting the ball extraordinarily well and his steel rate is up right now.
And those things are all going to level off.
He's not a top 100 fantasy player in 25 minutes.
We've seen a lot of Jalen Wells over the last couple of seasons.
He goes through little hot stretches like this.
Okay.
Fine.
Here's the thing.
They play all the time.
That's all that matters.
That's all that matters in head to head.
No offense.
And do you play?
And are you even a palatable fantasy player?
Are you passable, even the tiniest bit the Grizzlies have the best schedule in all the fantasy basketball going right now?
As I record this show by the time you guys watch it.
Well.
The RSS feed folks might might get this before the game's job.
I don't know when it's actually going to go out.
YouTubers.
You're probably seeing this after they've already played their game against Brooklyn.
But like, on Monday, Jalen Wells was a clear ad because he's one of the five grizzlies
that's actually been playing every ballgame. And when you play every day, it almost doesn't matter
who else is around the league on the free A on the waiver wire. The guy who plays every day is the
one you want on your team. The NBA eliminated four game and five night stretches a few years back
because they felt like it was leading to injuries. But we had some games canceled due to weather.
The only way that the that Memphis and I think Dallas was it? I forget. Memphis and somebody
could make up their game was to wedge it back in. This was it. There just weren't any
open pockets that made more sense somehow. I don't know how it feels like it could have been
done some other way, but I guess not. So yeah, but on the roadside, I don't want a guy who was
average 15 points, two boards, two assists, a steal and a couple of three pointers. Because I know
that as soon as he's not shooting 51% from the field and 83% of the foul line, he's not going to
be startable in nine category leagues. So you just need the four games out of him. Whatever he gives
you is great. 50 to 60 points will be swell. I don't know, eight to 10 to threes would be swell.
Again, whatever you can pile up from a guy who's hopefully not hurting your percentages all
that much, you just you just roll with it. Here's here's his numbers. He's going to put them on
the screen and then I I didn't and then I decided I should any who. What was that? Was that the
fifth name on the board? Let's go to number six. Number six on the board is Isaiah Collier. This
one I thought was a hard one. This was submitted by chosen one of one underscore underscore. I assume
because that handle was taken by itself and with only one underscore already. Isaiah Collier is a
really tough one because his value is at least partially reliant on the presence of Keontai George
or absence thereof. Collier over the last this is three weeks we're showing on the screen right now
is number 85 on average is the 18 points six assists 1.7 steals and actually pretty good percentages
which I don't know if those are necessarily going to hold turnovers are not too awful. Doesn't
it the three ball doesn't rebound and he's lucked his way into half a block per ball game. When
Keontai George plays Collier was back to being the backup. He's also out due to illness of Utah's
game on Monday. So that kind of screws things up because it also turns him into a three game week
maximum. To me, this is a really hard call in games cap formats. I'm probably benching him
when Keontai George plays and I'm holding him and playing him in the games when Keontai sits.
That's one of the advantages you can have in a games cap format. You can pick and choose when
to actually play a guy. You don't need to play all 13 or all 15 of your dudes every single day.
You're you're just hunting for upside in there with head to head. It's a hard call.
I think I would probably hold to find out what the deal is on Wednesday. If he's looks like he's
going to miss another ball game on Wednesday. You abandon ship and you go some other direction. But
if he's already on your roster, which I presume he is because he had a really long stretch of being
good. I don't think like I don't think the question here from chosen one of one is should I pick him
up because he's probably not on the wire. I think the question is should I hold him or should I
drop him and my take is on Collier. Give him another give him to Wednesday and head to head. Give
him kind of indefinitely in roto and then we'll make a call on Wednesday. If he's out, you drop him.
If he's back, see how it goes. Probably just let it ride because then you'll get your three games
the rest of the week. And then we'll sort of reassess. I suppose on finals week when they start
Monday, Tuesday without a ballgame. Friends, right now the Boston Celsox are plus 185 to come out of the
east as your conference winner. The calves plus 280, the next plus 450, the pistons have fallen on
a hard time. So now plus 460. If you think Detroit can get their act back together, plus 460 is an
interesting number to explore. And that is available from our friends over at Fandool and the
Fandool Sportsbook. Download the app today. Check it out all sorts of other fun futures. You can
see over there. Just click on the NBA tab at Fandool Sportsbook and get yourself rolling.
Tray Young. This was a fun one. I'm glad that this one came up. Thank you to LL or at second to
none with a bunch of underscores mixed in there. Tray Young. And I know that I'm actually
generally a guy who fades Tray Young. But right now we're really looking hard at the head to
head side of the ledger. And I think he's a must add guy in head to head. I don't care that the
wizards are going to hold his minutes in very tight check. Don't care. I don't care that he's
going to play 18 minutes a game for the next few ball games because in his 18 minutes so far,
he's averaging 15 and seven. While by the way, missing most of his free throws.
Can't explain it, but that's what's been going on. He's missing his free throws right now. And
you know, that's not going to last forever because Tray Young is typically a positive free throw
percent guy. His turnovers are going to be a mess. There's no question. He's playing with a bunch
of dingus's the wizards. Nobody knows what to do with it. So it's going to be all up to him.
But I also think that this Tray Young, this wizards Tray Young is probably going to have the usage
and energy that's higher than what we're accustomed to, which is already pretty damn high.
When he's trying to budget himself for playing 34, 35 minutes in a ballgame,
he's going to dial it back a little bit at times. Right now knowing he's only going to go like
six, seven minutes in the first quarter, five in the second, six or seven minutes in the third,
and then he's done. He's going to go buck wild during those 18 or 19 minutes.
How do you think he's up to seven and a half shots, seven free throws and seven assists in 18 minutes?
Every ball is going through him. Every play is going through him.
When I start him in a games cap roto league right now, probably not. I think I'd need to get him
into the low 20s at least in minutes, but it had to head to me. He's a must start guy because
there's so many leagues out there that are eight cat for one where he's going to have a huge
advantage or punting field goal because we know that's where he's going to suffer even as the
free throws come back. Like he's going to do my, my guess is because of how much energy he's
going to expend in a short burst. It's probably going to be, he might only play 20 minutes,
but it's probably going to be numbers like he was playing more like 24 or 25 minutes at his more
typical usage rate. So I think trade young belongs on rosters. Here's what he's done in his two
games back. It's actually, he's ranked 231, but a lot of that is the weird, the bad free throw number,
the very high turnovers. If we do some fun little toggles on those, he's number 80.
Not that he's ever going to be league average in turnovers. This is like an eight cat exploration,
but that's an 18 minutes game.

This one submitted by norator. No 12 to 12 is Nick Clifford. A bunch of you guys actually submitted
Nick Clifford. I was kind of surprised to see his name pop up a lot because I actually thought
it was clearer than I guess it is. My take on Nick Clifford is that he is a must roster player
in almost all formats. Every head to head league, he should be rostered by somebody.
Especially when you consider the fact that over the last three weeks and I'm showing it on
the screen right now, he actually is inside the top 100 despite the bad field goal percent because
his steals are really high and that's kind of making up for it and that probably doesn't last forever.
But if you don't care about the field goal, if you don't care about the fact that his turnovers
are probably going to be not all that great. He has a fairly well-rounded game going on. He's
scoring a little bit. I think that'll probably tick up as the season goes and guys like
DeMar de Rosa get more days off and Russell Westbrook get more days off. He rebounds pretty well
for guard eligible dude. He passes relatively well. The steals number has been good for a few weeks
running. The only reason I don't think I'd add him would be if I really badly wanted to win
field goal percent but like you should be able to handle one guy who's not as good there.
So I think Nick Clifford is basically a must roster dude. He's about as close as you can get to
being a must roster without me being able to give him the full-throated yes in all formats.
He's like yes in 95% of formats. And I think it's only going to get better
as we get closer and closer to the edge of the season. One of the Kings who've now won a
couple games by accident. Oopsies are going to have to go back to losing again on purpose.
Kings can't win right. Kings can't lose right. Stop it, Kings. Do something right.
Player number nine is Kevin Porter Jr. And if I thought Isaiah Collier was the hardest one to make a call
on KPJ might actually win that discussion. This is submitted by Jake Dr. Shee or Dr. XI,
whatever it is. Sorry Jake. A lot of people said KPJ and I unfortunately don't have a great answer
on Kevin Porter Jr. Because the bucks have been a little bit cagey in their return time.
My doctor River was like yeah, you know, it's a little bit concerning. I think they're calling it
synivitis now. Me swelling effectively.
I thought synivitis was like what little kids get after a cold.
I didn't know that this was a that was that's viral synivitis by the way.
By also by the way, one of the scariest things to see your kid get because they have a cold for
like three days and then they seem totally better and then all of a sudden they can't walk.
It happened to our younger son where he was in his his crib at the time. He was like one and a half
two and all of a sudden he was just like lying on the ground holding his side and we couldn't
fear what was going on and we're like all right, we'll give you some motoring and like
see if we can sleep it off and then he was mostly okay the next day. We talked to Dr. Shee was like
oh yeah, yeah, that's probably viral synivitis where like they hit just swells up on little kids
and they crumbled with the ground. Cool. Don't tell prospective parents about that possibility.
Oh my god. And anyway, Kevin Porter Jr. not viral. He's not a four-year-old. He's an adult and he plays
a game that puts a lot of strain on hips and knees and things of that nature. I don't know when he's
coming back. That's the big issue here. I don't even have a real good feeling as to when he's
coming back. I believe he's listed as doubtful, which like at least they haven't just said he's
out for a few weeks. So he might just pop back up and play like in the next three to four ball games
or he might be out until the end of the month. I really have no idea. When healthy, Kevin Porter
Jr. has been remarkably good. I didn't play that many ball games this year, but thanks to the absence
of Yannis and KPJ seemingly kind of fixing his issues with percentages. He's been a top 20 player
when he's actually been available, which again, not that much, but hard to argue with production.
The only thing I would say, like it's the same discussion we just had with Steph Curry. Don't you have
one IEL slot? Decide on your injured slot based on how good basically the player is when they come
back and how long you think it's going to be. We don't really know what Steph and KPJ are coming
back, but these are two guys that you should really be trying to hold. If you only have one IEL
slot, you have to pick one between those two. You hold Steph because he's better. And when he comes
back, he's going to try to play more. By the time Kevin Moore Jr. is ready to come back, the bucks
are probably going to be mathematically out of the playoffs. But again, like it comes down to deciding
between injured guys. Are you stashing Kevin Porter Jr. Or are you stashing crap France Wagner?
Probably KPJ. He's been better. Is it Kevin Porter Jr. or Norman Powell? It's probably Kevin
Porter Jr. Although Norm, I think, is expected to be back sooner. So maybe you just hold on to both
in that regard. There aren't that many other guys that are good enough and aren't out for a really
long time. That would push KPJ out of my IEL slot. Steph is basically the only one maybe Tyrese
Maxie. But I don't expect I don't expect Maxie to be out all that long because the like the sixers
need him. It's a finger sprain. I don't think they're going to hold them out all that long. They're probably,
you know, split it tape it all that whatever you need to do and then probably try to get it back
out there. Steph Curry's probably the only one where we don't really know when he's coming back.
But definitely needs to be held over Kevin Porter Jr. Otherwise, just find a way to hold on.
And this one sucks. But he's right. Dr. B here came Bianchi three is very right to submit the name
Miles Turner. He's been awful lately. For a good portion of the season, we just kept going like,
all right, eventually he's going to settle things in. And then the honest drama started and then
you honest missed a bunch of time and then the bucks fell out of the playoff picture. And now it's a
total mess in Milwaukee. And he just seems like a bad fit. And now they're not even playing him over the
last three weeks. Miles Turner is averaging 21 and a half minutes per game. Which by the way,
if he was having a good time, that would probably still be enough time for him to have fantasy
value. But he's just not happy there. He's not being used the way that Indiana did his fantasy
game has fallen apart. And yet he's playing. He's in the ball games and he's still this rare center
that can get you blocks and threes on typically a good free throw percent of those.
Been bad at the foul line lately too. It tells you how completely unfocused everything is in Milwaukee.
I can't bring myself to drop him. Certainly not while Milwaukee has a four game week. Next week,
they have a three gamer. You could maybe make the argument. You dump him there. But like, what if
you catch him on a better week, a better Miles Turner week could be amazing. He could give you 10
blocks. He could give you 12 blocks and eight three pointers in a week. You just can't find that
kind of stuff on the waiver wire. So as bad as he's been, and here's the, here's the, we'll share
the basketball monster tab to show you just how bad he's been lately, barely inside the top 200
over the last three weeks on nine points, four boards, two threes, two defensive stats and terrible
percentages. They're just aren't guys out there that can do what he does. There's Jay Huff and
there's Brook Lopez. Basically, Brook Lopez has stopped blocking shots and Jay Huff is on
somebody else's roster or your roster. But you're not going to drop Miles Turner for some
wink streamer out there because whoever you pick up doesn't have the upside he has. Miles has a
four game week anyway. So you're not going to gain games really unless you're picking up a 76er,
but there isn't anybody there that I'm like, oh, yeah, you definitely need to drop Miles Turner for
that guy. So you hold. And it's a crappy answer. And it's not the answer that you wanted.
But I think it's the right one. So hang on to Miles Turner and cry a single tear and hope for
better times and better days ahead. Thanks for playing ad drop it hold with your old pal Dan
