Chris Simms has a large gap between Fernando Mendoza and the next highest quarterback in the NFL Draft. He was surprised with how good Mendoza is when he looked at the tape. Carson Wentz might smell blood in the water with his return to the Minnesota Vikings. How important is good coaching for a QB?

Hi, we're this. Oh, no, we started. We started. I know you started. Sims and I started.
So you guys, you guys, you guys keep recording filibuster for 15 seconds because I'm just going
to grab a bottle of water. Okay. Okay. Yeah. All right. Good. This guy. He is. He's prepared here.
Yeah. Yeah. Not any no fucking bottle of water. We're going to get up to get that. He can't make
it through the next 20 minutes without the bottle of water. If you ever hear him hacking,
you know, he needs the bottle of water. Just, I mean, little professionalism, little preparedness.
Seriously. Chris Sims is with us on the unbuttoned podcast football night in America.
BFT with Mike Florio every day on peacock. We love him. We miss some football seasons over.
I'm sad, but he's right, but he's racking things again. He is. I love a gutter ranking.
So quickly, quickly before we get to the football stuff, Sims, Taylor is not here. I am wondering
as a fellow Yankee fan, Taylor's a big Yankee fan, were you able to find yourself?
Were you able to find the ability to root for Roman Anthony as a Yankee fan because he's a red
sock. Taylor could not. He was rooting for team Venezuela. He was rooting for team Italy simply
because he refuses to root for Roman Anthony, even when he's playing for his country.
All right. No, I don't have any problem with that. I can make that crossover. I mean, you know,
Taylor's, he's, you know, he's he's simple-minded. He's still at the early phases of evolution.
He just got out of the cave not long ago. So he's only capable of one thought.
That's so I understand that. He hates red socks.
He starts fire. Yankee starts fire. Then red socks copy and make fire.
I think that's Taylor. Yeah. So you've never been more right about anything you've said ever.
And I'm so proud of him.
No, but I can do that. I'm also one of the, I guess, those weird New Yorkers and I don't know if
this always happens this way. But I don't, I don't like hate the Mets because I'm a Yankee fan.
Right. There's, there's like fans here in the area that are like, oh, you can't be like that.
And I was like, no, no, I mean, I would hate the red socks more than the Mets. And I think,
you know, the other part of that is just because when you leave the area, you, you stick up for
New York in general, right? You do. So I think that's what happened to me too. I went to other
places, played in the NFL college. My New York pride showed through. If the Mets were good, I'd be
like, look, the second, our second best team in our city. Right. Yes.
And your teams, geez. Right. So I always use that as a point of pride. But no, for the,
the world baseball classic, I could root for a red sock. So that's an American. I can.
Funny you say that. As a Yankee fan, if you asked me to list the teams I hate, I'd probably get
the double digits before I said the Mets. I would agree with you as well. I have no beef with them.
I mean, no, again, I think it's more the other way around. I think that the Mets fans hate Yankee
fans a lot more. And I can understand that. They always, that's all they have to hear about all the
time, 27 championships or the King of baseball, all that. So I get that. But yeah, you're right.
I'm going to double digits probably before I get to the Mets. As a Mets fan, I will tell you,
it's just born out of jealousy. It's not hatred. It's just where we know. It's the same thing
with the Jets and the Giants, too. Maybe not to the same extent. But like the Giants don't really
care about the Jets. But the Jets fans, I sit here and have them in the building here on Sundays.
And they actively root against the Giants on Sun. And I'm like, well, why? We got nothing to do
with you. But they root against it. So it is a funny psychology behind it. Because we're a bunch
of miserable fucking hassles. That's why we do that. I mean, we really don't care. They're in a
different conference. We shouldn't care. But we have a complex because our team is never good,
you know? Yeah. I know. I know. Were you into the World Baseball Classic? Were you glued to
that? Really? No? Really? It's not baseball season. I just, I'm a little that way. First off,
I'm still sad footballs over. I'm working myself into basketball mode here. That's hard
enough for me. And as you know, I'm knee deep in the draft and trying to do that. So yeah,
I'm not in it. And here's my thing with the World Baseball Classic. First off, if it's such a big
deal, then they need to start spring training a few months earlier to get them ready for the world.
Because you're not seeing the players at their best right now. They've been practicing for three
weeks. And now we're playing, whoa, maybe the biggest game in the history of the plant. Like,
what? No. And then you can't sell me that gets such. I hear all this people like, oh, it's a big
deal. It might be bigger than the World Series. I heard Aaron Judge. I think he made a comment
like that. I want to be like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, challenge flag, negative ghost rider.
When I turn on the World Series, the stadium is full, especially in the World Series. When I turn
on the World Baseball Classic, semi finals or finals, stadium, not full. I was sitting there
watching the start of the game. Like, so don't give me that bullcrab that it's more important.
I don't agree with that. I love a derogator set. He should be the final word on all of this.
He said, those people saying that that the World Baseball Classic means more to them than
making it and winning a World Series have never played in a World Series. I would second that.
I was checking that. But Judge has. I mean, I know. That's where it was. We were the judge saying
that. You know, I understand you get caught up in your country's pride. And there is that aspect
that is, it's very cool. And I wish, you know, I never got to experience that football players
don't get to experience it until, you know, this index Olympics with the, maybe the flag football.
But yeah, I definitely found that odd with people saying that. What will the next four days look
like for Chris Sims and the Chris Sims household? Are you going to be glued to the NCAA tournament?
Like, the rest of us. I'm not glued. I'm not glued because I have to be glued to the
draft. I'm stressed. Like, one of the reasons I've been ignoring you on text and stuff is because
I'm like, I just, I can't come on. I'm looking at a list of 300 guys, you know, and I don't even
go into the sixth and seventh round and worry about those guys. So I'm looking at that going,
holy, okay, every day, I'm like, oh, I only get to watch three guys today. Like holy crap,
I'm going to be behind. So I'm, that's really where I'm at in my life. But I will have it on.
And, you know, when I have free moments and the day is over, I'm content with my work,
then I sit down and really enjoy it. But it'll be kind of background noise during the day.
Sims, as you get ready for the draft, you're preparing for the draft. You shouldn't be nervous
about it. It's okay. You still have time here. But I am wondering who is the guy that kind of
has surprised you as you're getting ready for the draft. The guy that you thought, eh,
I don't know about this guy. Then you watch the tape. You're like, holy shit. This guy's good.
Yeah. Oh, yeah. There's been, there's been a few actually. They're really at first off.
The receivers, it's a deep group. I don't want to give any, I don't want to give you any
inklings there because I haven't really broke out my rankings there as yet. Okay.
Running backs, you could say the same thing. I mean, there's some really good ones.
You know, the, here's two that I'll just throw to you in the running back conversation.
Because we know Jeremiah Love is a freak show. I hope the Giants take him to number five.
He, I made the kind of, he could be Marshall Falk. Wow. He's that good. He's that kind of player.
You know, that's the ultimate ceiling. You know, right now, if you took a player,
he's Jamir Gibbs, but he's got more power and more physicality running between the tackles.
So he's special. So, so that's not a surprise. Jadaria price is special. He's a first round running
back. So that's another one. But then you get into the Penn State guys. The Penn State guys
are really interesting. Kate John Allen and Nicholas Singleton. You know, first off, you're probably
going to, huh? I watched those games. It wouldn't seem great. Well, remember, Penn State can't throw.
They have the worst passing offense in football. They have no receivers. You're talking about
coming out in the draft. So everybody just played the run when they played Penn State.
Right. Those two guys right there. Kate John Allen is a between the tackles,
bruiser, awesome football player. Nicholas Singleton has three rockets up his ass. He could be a
Jamal Charles, right? If he gets it the right place, he could, you know, he's not great at side to
side. He's a little straight line. But those were some guys that really popped to me. I think on
the quarterback aspect too, just to answer that real quick, it would be Baron Morton from Texas
Tech. He was my third rank quarterback. That was probably I guess the one that shocked people
and shocked me too. I knew he was down the line for a lot of people. But when I turned that on,
I just went, man, this is one of the few guys I look at in the whole class that I go could be in
NFL starting quarterback. He's got good size. He's quick in the pocket. He makes a lot of big time
NFL throws. He's got a great motion. He can throw high level throws and be very accurate with
it still. Their offense wasn't good. Their receivers aren't that great. And that's where you got to
get through it. You got to, you can't just draw, you're not drafting to an Alabama with the all-star
team around him. That's how we mess up drafts. So that's where he was surprising to me. I'm different
stew gods in this where I was some of his best plays are in completions. But you know, you'll go to
a grading site and go, well, he got a double negative there. He got a minus two there. And I want
to go, wait, this play, he got the ball. He made somebody miss at right away because he's under
pressure all the time. There's nobody open. He finds a little soft spot to just set his feet real quick.
He throws a ball 20 yards on the out route, puts it high and wide in the perfect spot incomplete
because he wanted to be safe with it. Negative grade. I sit there and go, that's a phenomenal
quarterback play right there. That's phenomenal. There was nothing there. And he almost made it
happen. And that's where I think the disconnect happens. Instead of, like, there's a guy wide open
at four feet in front of him and he threw it and the guy ran for 80 and people are like, oh,
positive grade. First rounder. Oh, my gosh, unbelievable. He can throw at four feet and the guy
can run 80. Look at that. He's a winner. That's where everybody gets messed up in this whole process.
What is the maximum amount of rockets one could have up his ass? Like, great question.
Yes. Three. No, three's been the max. Three's max. Yeah. Okay. So that is a max compliment from
Chris Sims when he said three rockets up your ass. Okay. Definitely. It's like Tyree Kill has been
three rockets, right? Yes. It's that kind of guy. And Singleton is one of those guys like
when you turn on the film, you go, whoa, wait, hold on. He's he moves faster than everybody else on
the film. What? What the hell? Yeah. He's got some nuance to learn, but he's got big, big
playability. And it would not shock me if he really became a star in the NFL.

I want to talk to you about your your quarterback rankings and your running background because
that you put out. But first I want to go a little macro and I want to ask you. Yeah. Based on
everything we've seen is the gap between tier one bigger for running backs from Jeremiah love
to deer two or Fernando Mendoza to I think you have Ty Simpson as tier two. Yeah.
Yeah. Oh, that's a good one. I'm going to say it's bigger at the quarterback position. The
gap. Really? I was worried you were going to say that. Yeah.
Yeah. Jadariah. Jadariah is really good. I mean, Jadariah at a point when we were talking in
the middle of the year. And I know we don't talk about college football. But was that a point
where like his last 13 touches nine of them were touchdowns. And it was like they weren't from
the one yard line. It was like 50 yard touchdown, 40 yard touchdown, 80 yard kick return.
I mean, I love them. I've this is the thing I've tried to say to people. I love
no more on Hampton coming out of North Carolina. I put him in the same tiers action genty.
I think Jadariah price is better than no more on Hampton coming out. And I'm still a fan of
Omar and Hampton. So, you know, yeah, that that love is really special. But I would say that
gap is closer. And it is a good question by you, Mikey, because I will tell you that when I started
the process, I went, I think the gap between Mendoza and Ty Simpson is going to be closer than people
realize. But as I watched the film and started to dig through it, no, Mendoza is the freaking man.
Mendoza doesn't miss. Mendoza is a really good athlete. Mendoza's tough as hell.
Mendoza is just one good decision after another. Mendoza makes the hard stuff look so easy that we
actually, I think, discredit for him. That's what I kind of took away from it. We, we were, we,
we kind of poo-pooed like, oh, there he is. Get hit in the face throwing a back shoulder 25 yards
down the field on the money. I, you know, he's a dork. He looked in the camera and talks like this.
Like, no, no, he's the man. He's the man. Yes. So, and Ty Simpson is really good. But there's
some little deficiencies in mechanics throwing the football at times. He's a phenomenal athlete.
I mean, he makes some unbelievable movement around throwing the ball in weird positions and
still getting power there. Incredible that way. But he also at the end of the year was a little
off target because of some of those mechanics. And what I do worry about with Ty Simpson is he's
six one. He's he's two hundred and twelve at the combine. He was probably one 90 something during
the end of the college season. And I do worry about that size and how that translates. And I
always worry about sizes. You guys know. So, yeah, I liked him a lot. He's certainly in the first
round conversation. But I think the gap between him and Mendoza's bigger than love and Jadari on
Mikey A. It seemed like Mendoza surprised you. Was that fair? You weren't expecting that? Yeah.
No, I was not expecting that kind of stuff there. I was not. Yeah. I think that you, um, you
realize like I had things that might know, hey, good arm, you know, a really good arm, not a
wow arm. And then like three cents and slaters. I'm like, uh, sentences later. I'm like, well,
check that. It is a wow arm. I didn't realize when he steps on the gas like that. He can do that.
And, you know, so that's the amazing thing. And then there's there's a lot of plays too where,
you know, again, I think we just kind of swept it on the road where pressure he moves. He runs
a little bit. And then he sets back up with really quick feet, makes a big throw down the field.
And you just go, it's phenomenal. He's the most machine I've seen as far as quarterback.
And I wrote this. It's Joe Burrowish and his processing and his ability to stay
growing. Yeah. It's Joe Burrow. You'd go, oh, he read one. It wasn't there. Oh, he read two.
And you're like, what? He didn't even look at three. And he's already kind of throwing and
processed it. And it's open. And that's to me where he's got a little bit of that burrow,
Peyton Manning aspect of Adam. And then if you meet him in person, you're like, oh,
gosh, you are like Peyton Manning. You're prepared for everything. You know everything about
everybody. You're that guy. Right. Yes. I give him credit for that. Yes. So do I get the wrong way.
I go, you're getting mad about because he's prepared. He wasn't impressive. That's a good thing.
I'm dairy. Speaking of burrow, are you a little worried about Mendoza going into a similar situation
as burrow where he's going to go? And guess what? Good luck. There's no offensive line here to help you.
No, I guess. Yes. But I think they realize that too. And of course, you know, that's the
the Raiders. And I'm sure that was the disappointment of the Max Crosby trade just because, hey,
yeah, we're going to have two first rounders. We're going to be able to build around them.
Do stuff like that. But you know, the one thing I'll say, you get the center and Linda bomb.
You got a offensive head coach who understands how to run the ball and understands how to
protect and not to put the quarterback in vulnerable positions. And that's why you love Mendoza,
the Raiders, because Mendoza ran a ton of play action at Indiana. And he's going to do a ton of
that with Kunkubiak who runs that Shanahan scheme. And that it should fit Mike. Yeah, I think they'll
be all right. And I think they'll make, you know, a concerted effort to improve that O line in the
draft and even maybe further on here in free agency. Chris, what's going on in Minnesota is
interesting to me. And we'll get to it in just a second. But I'm wondering here to it with Lana
Kyler to Minnesota, who has the better chance of, I guess resuscitating their career here moving forward.
I love to it to Atlanta, by the way. I thought that was great. It's a good fit. It is a good fit. Hey,
he's in a dome. Kevin Stofansky. You know, he just had a Dylan Gabriel, who's, you know,
not too dissimilar lefty, shorter quarterback, right? But yeah, I like it there. And I certainly
see could see him winning that job. Michael Panics has not done enough. And I don't think he's done
enough behind the scenes to make the organization feel warm and comfy about where he at. But I think
either of situation, the young quarterback needed a veteran there to kind of push him along and
challenge him. So, but I'm more excited about Kyler Murray, because I'm just more at first off,
Kyler Murray. We know, I think as a higher ceiling than to it. I mean, there's no limitations to
the throws Kyler Murray can make. And he can still run at a special level too. But then you
couple that with whoa, it's Kevin O'Connell. Whoa, it's Justin Jefferson and Jordan Madison and
TJ Hawkinson. And whoa, you know, one of the things we worry about with with Kyler is, you know,
he's got to be protected. Well, Minnesota can really protect the passer. That's one of the things
they're good at. They got two really good tackles on both sides of the ball there. So I think that's
where I look at that one to be the most intriguing. And I think it's like, you know, rare that you
have a legit quarterback battle. And I think that's one where we have a rare like it's going to go
in even. And we're going to see who wins it. The Vikings according to Diana Rossini today have
decided to bring back Carson once. What's going on with JJ McCarthy, man? Well, they're just
protecting themselves. I think it's pretty, you know, it's it's pretty like, oh, it's so JJ
McCarthy is played one year and he's got injured what three different times. And then the other
year, he couldn't even get to the year. He got hurt in the preseason. Right. So they got to
worry about that. And then you got Kyler Murray. Who's small? He's one, you know, getting smushed
into the ground. You're like, oh, he's done for a few weeks. He got smushed like he's done. It's
so what do we do? So I think you know, Carson West gives them a little protection for two guys
and have had a little injury history. And I think it's more about that. It's more about that.
They have a good football team and they looked at it and probably went, man, we messed up some
years because we didn't have adequate backups here to save us. But you don't see that Carson
Wentz chose to go back. Maybe they gave him some indication that you are the number two.
Well, he's blood in the water. He just goes, wait, I don't have a lot of opportunities here.
And this is one where, you know, I think next to these guys every day, I can show that I'm,
you know, I'm right up there with them a little bit. And yeah, maybe be a number two or he's just
sitting here going, wait, I can be with O'Connell. If I do get a chance to go in, I know it's a place
I can look good. And hey, these guys get hurt. So I could end up in the football game and you just
want to put yourself in a spot where you know you can succeed if you do get in. And I think that's
where it's good for Carson Wentz. The fresh ready thing with Kyler Murray is he could sit on the
couch play video games for 18 months, get off the couch and walk on any athletic field and he's
the best athlete on the field. And I think that's what right, but you think O'Connell might have a chance
or probably the best chance of bringing something special out of Kyler Murray. I hope so. And
then, you know, to that, that's where Kyler Murray, I think has to up his game. Yeah, he's got to up
his game. And hopefully he can learn that being around a Carson Wentz, even the J.J. McCarthy
and seeing how they approach it. But yes, O'Connell's going to have a standard and it's always a
little bit of a shock. People think, Oh, I was with a good office coordinator and I did this and
I did that. I know football. And then you get it with an O'Connell, you know, a Shanahan and McVeigh
and Andy Reed, a Josh McDaniel is like, Holy shit, I don't know anything. I mean, they're
teaching me stuff that I never really realized the nuance of that. They're holding me to a
standard that I've been with some other good office coaches. The standards not been like this.
Right. So there's going to be a shock, you know, a shock there. Like what Caleb Williams went
through last year. What? Every play I got to be perfect and remember all these rules. I just
just drop back and go, I'm going to make it happen. Holy crap. Right. So that's where I think,
you know, the Kevin O'Connell experience kind of hits you right in the face. Holy shit,
I have a coach is holding me accountable. I can't just run out of the pocket and play back your
football when I want. He's going, no, there's people open to stay in the pocket. Right. There's
an adjustment to that. And in the quarterback coaches and the quarterback whisperers really have that.

so how do the coaches like in terms of this is interesting to me because
gala Williams dimension of course with Ben Johnson O'Connell now with Kyler Mary how do they gain
those guys trust is it simply by telling them to do things and then they go out on the field and
they do said things and those things work and that's it trust established 100 and they first they
first start down that road with showing them visual evidence of the plays working before right so
you got to be a salesman they go in and they sell the play to the quarterback in the offense first
to go hey look look look at this play look at him you just do this and read this guy right here
hey look this is this is Joe Montana and Jerry Rice in 1989 look at Jerry oh look
and you know the players per come and that's awesome and then he shows another play ten years later
and goes okay here's sterling sharp gala touchdown same play and then it's okay so it gets you
excited to do it and then you go out in the field a few times you're like damn every time he calls
that play and I just read that key that he talks about yeah shit it's it's a good play and everybody
it's i'm awesome because yes right and and that's where you get on to me you know I you hear me say
sometimes like it's a silver platter completion by shenanigan like you know I'm gonna get on
wide open if you can just throw it over here he's it's a replay yes yeah that's how it happens
and that's why you always hear those guys leave those places and go oh my gosh they're genius
they're genius they're genius yes I love that shit yeah that's so good right they tell you
months in advance hey don't worry it's gonna be open you get out on the field and holy shit it's
oh yeah right he's just like you know he told me and he told me to like watch this guy and if he
leans that way it means it's this coverage and if he leans that way it's that quote it's like
he's right every time I missed that experience with shenanigan and Tampa Bay really yeah Tampa Bay
when he was quality control we got into a game and he was starting to get more and more confident
with giving me little clues on the sideline and things like that and speaking his mind and he kind
of showed me something about the nickel back one time and he goes listen if he plays like this again
I've been watching them all game it's quarters if he plays like this it's Tampa 2 and I remember I
got out there and I was like man I'm not sure what coverage it is and I looked over the nickel
and I went damn Kyle said if he plays like this it's quarters and man shit if he wasn't right like
every freaking time and you know that's the kind of stuff he can do because he's putting the work
in the time and he's watching the film in a way that you are not telling you how to do something
exactly right so you think and so it feels like your coaches invested in you right exactly yeah
he understands the rules to a team to be able to teach it exactly God I love that the jets have
never had that go ahead was he or any other coach ever wrong where you're like oh I'm going to
do this and then all of a sudden they did it and you go and you look at him like you you fucking told
me yeah I did I did I could you know Gordon had the ability to be good like that too but out here
out here's a good one we got into my second year I was the starter and then I got hurt my shoulder
and then Brian greasy came in and took over and then late in the year they put me back in it was
healthy we're playing Arizona Cardinals Emmett Smith's last game is an NFL football player okay
and we they had a three four defense they were kind of a pain in the butt on defense and they blitzed
a lot and brought different coverages so all week Gruden gave us these clues he's like listen when
this guy steps on the line of scrimmage it's this blitz okay and this coverage and they only
step one guy on the line of scrimmage and do it and then you know it's coming from over here and
and like you know you watch yours a film and you go I mean the whole season of film and you go yeah it's
it's a hundred percent proof right he's right every time they do this is this blitz blah blah so we
had all these checks in the game kind of in the game plan coupled with other plays we get the like
the second or third play of the game we got a pass play but we got you know check check check if
that guy walks to the line of scrimmage well you know blue forty five move for about the guy walks
to the line of scrimmage and I'm like oh it Gruden's right here we go we got him well yeah as he's
doing that I look across I go well shit the other guys walking on the line of scrimmage you told me
about this one what do we do you told me to check of that guy and you know I had to orchestrate the
protection according to where the guy in the line of scrimmage was and I'm going there on both sides
what do you want me to and I remember I was like blue and he five and I remember like kind of look
at over I'm like we're screwed I don't know what you want me to do here yes I did so it took us like a
quarter to kind of like readjust the game plan because we realized they self-scattered
themselves and change their damn rules over and it was annoying holy shit we have no idea what we're
watching that's what I was trying to get at I don't know if we're protected I don't know
what's going on here that's so funny quickly before we get you out of here I know you got to run
I love the deal for both teams it's a rare trade where I thought both teams did well
jalen waddle to the Broncos Broncos inside a championship window quarterback on the rookie contract
they are going for it right now as they should by the way and the dolphins are rebuilding get a
first and a third route pick for waddle great trade great trade great trade for both you said it
right the Denver Broncos have no needs they have nothing that was their only need on the football team
their defense is set they got all star defense they got a good ol line they got two running
backs they like in RJ Harvey and JK Dobbins the tight ends good they got second and third receivers
we talked about a lot during the year they're missing an offensive playmaker and then you coupled
that with Sean Payton his offense we know he knows how to get slot guys open whether it was
Brandon cooks back today or Michael Thomas who was a bigger guy but they still got him open over
the middle of the field all the time yeah that's where jalen waddles and be able to take pressure
off the offense it was a dire need for them so that's a big one and then you know they don't
know what they're going to get at the end of the first round if somebody liked that receiver
position is going to be available and he ain't going to be waddle right and he ain't going to be
waddle and he's not going to be seasoned veteran to where you go wait we're a super ball team but I
don't know how much we can put on this guy's plate is a rookie so this is where you do that and then
like you said Miami yeah they're looking to the future the only thing I think with Miami is just
damn can we leave some players from a league willis so he can look good yes that that was where
it kind of surprised me that way but but you know good for Miami to trim the fat and start to
hopefully building young nucleus around Malik willis in the future I mean HN is still there for now
I mean yeah I think he will be because like yes you're going to have to do something crazy to get
him Jeff Hathley's a defensive coach Bobby Slowick is Shanahan Kubiak he wants to run the ball
Mike McDaniel just had a chance Kubiak was with Mike McDaniel before so he knows he fits that
offense and he's making minimal money so it's not like one where you're like oh that'll change our
whole salary cap situation I think he's making like five million dollars this year yeah you'd have
to blow them out of the water to trade trade get him off their books I think just quickly here Chris
for the dolphin fans who don't know about the two guys because it seems like they have a plan
and they're executing that plan they don't know the two guys the dolphins hired his head coach
and general manager from the Green Bay Packers you like these guys these guys are good they know what
they're doing yes totally Hathley is a football football guy and I mean he's impressive it's football
all the time he's a defensive version of some of the offensive geniuses we talked about plus he's
got the ability I think to relate to players and command and room and all that I don't know
Sullivan all that well so I can't speak to the personal aspect of it all I can speak to is
green Bay's been good at football for 20 forever they're always relevant they know how to scout
they have a plan they know how to build a team and that's why you love Sullivan coming there from
Green Bay all right PFT with Mike Floria every day on peacock the on button podcast as well football
night in America something I football one football rolls around again we fucking miss it so much
God I mean we want to get through the Super Bowl we did and then a week later I missed football
this is bullshit I'm with you I'm with you I'm I'm hoping to enjoy some basketball this weekend and
get going from there all right then we'll talk to you again Sims I want to do this I want to have
you on and talk about non football things okay okay all right can we do that can we yeah okay I'll
continue to talk about football I know I want to talk about we can mix it together I want to talk
about I want to talk about the fact that he can't find time to go to the dentist that's what I want
to talk about I'm missing a tooth I'm missing a freaking tooth tell Mikey hey how long you've been
missing that too since August I gotta go yeah I gotta go we're linked with football season you
the best buddy we'll talk to you see you guys we get it
