I invite you to be a tourist and step into the minds of those people lost to the unknown.
When I was five years old, I became terrified of something in my room.
There was a disembodied voice, sighing, and I moved around the room, and the voice moved
with me.
When I was a little kid, I used to see like the medicine man have to go outside and chase
away skin walkers.
Our avoidance is seeing mental images, symbols.
Why is it that so many DMT experiencers report being pulled into alien realms?
We have hundreds and hundreds of people who have seen these UFOs.
I am desperately afraid of being seen as crazy.
The weird borderline between dream and reality, we're at the cemetery.
There's something moving through the woods that's staying right outside of our light.
From behind the fridge door comes a big back figure, and I could just see the small red
beady eyes.
We got really close to my face, and he said, stay away from things you don't understand.

of high-strangeness.
Well good evening to my fellow tinfoil hats.
I am Justin on the tinfoil hat.
Welcome to my show.
Today, we'll be discussing the fascinating case of the Lomo de Diana mummies.
Now this is a weird case, and occurred despite incorrect reporting on the part of the
sole witness in 1952.
At the emergent peak of the contactee movement, and as we'll see, this case is weird and
it just gets weirder in a very space brotherly way.
So put on your seat belts and keep your hands and feet in the saucer, because this is
going to be a wild ride.
The sole witness to this strange event, and to believe me, it is a strange event, was
a man known only by his initials C-A-V.
At the time of this occurrence, he worked for a large oil company in Peru, and he was
about 30 some years old.
On this particular day, sometime in February or March of 1952, he was driving in his
car from Pucasana to Lima.
He was actually returning from the scene of a crash of one of his trucks, which had gone
over a sand dunes and was badly damaged.
Finally, after helping to haul it out with some other trucks, he was going back home,
driving along the Pan American highway near a place called Lomo de Diana.
The sea was to left to him in the hills to the right.
Suddenly, he saw something strange near the foot of a sand hill to the right of the road.
This something strange was a saucer-like object, and V, as he was referred to in the April
questioning line, got out of his car and began running towards it.
Now this proved to be problematic as he thought that the hills and therefore the object
were a lot closer to the road than they actually were.
However, he soon found out that they were actually a good ways off.
He said that he thought it was just about 220 yards.
It actually was about 550 yards, but as he closed the distance between himself and the
disc, he saw that it was hovering stationary about six feet off the ground, and at first
appeared to be the color of the surrounding sand, but shining.
And roughly the size of a bus, however, when he got closer, he realized that the disc
was actually a very bright, reflective gray color, possibly just reflecting them with sandy
surroundings.
Although feeling extremely frightened, the witness continued walking towards the object.
He claimed that he had just heard about flying saucers and passing, and considered this
a rare occurrence.
He said that he just wanted to find out more about it.
Somehow he remembered arriving at the disc, though this portion of the encounter is rather
in his words confused in his memory.
As he came within about 20 yards of the object, he claimed that he saw them get out.
Now, what he meant exactly by them, we will get to in a second, but first we'll deal with
how they emerged from the disc.
Senior V said that he didn't know how they came out of the object, as there was no
door.
Now, after they emerged from the object, he claimed to see some sort of opening in the
disc, which had lowered from about six feet off the ground to about, quote, the height
of a chair.
He very well, this point, to mention that the chapter that contained this case in UFOs
over the Americas by Jim Coralornson, was called appropriately the flesh crawlers.
So V said that these beings, three in total, resembled mummies, each one standing a little
shorter than he was with one appearing to be slightly taller than the other two.
He claimed that each had a kind of humanoid outline, but with joined legs.
I will quote one of the best descriptions of strange entities that I have ever read.
In trying to describe the legs, V said, have you ever seen twin bananas?
You see the form of both bananas, but they are joined together.
So this terminated in one large foot.
V claimed that they had no eyes, ears, genitalia, nothing.
Just this mummy-like form with one big foot.
Their arms had this kind of conjoined look as well, with the four fingers sort of merged
together in a separate thumb like a mitten.
V said that the entirety of their bodies was covered, not in clothing, but in some covering
of tally sandy skin.
There was a sort of kind of inclination of a nose, I guess you could say, and this was
the only protuberance in skin.
One opening, however, in this weird wrapped texture was this oblong space of some transparent
jelly-like substance with a bubble in the center right where the eyes would have been.
Now throughout the encounter, he said that they made a series of odd noises between each
other, which was different from the speech that they communicated to him, and communicate
they did.
We will get to that in a second.
Now he said that these noises seemed like microphone noises, and that he couldn't
tell which one they came from, only that by the pauses in this conversation, it seemed
as though they were kind of questioning and answering each other or conversing with
each other.
He also said that they could, quote, transfer liquids from one to another simply by placing
their shoulders together.
The witness says that they moved gracefully as dancers, gliding along the ground towards
him.
He also continued towards them both parties kind of meeting in the middle.
The V spoke first, asking the simple question, who are you?
Now then the being spoke, and V said that it was as though they spoke perfect English,
with absolutely no accent, and as though the voice came through their bodies.
They asked, where are we?
When he responded that they were in South America, they began speaking in perfect, or as he
said it, learned Spanish.
Now, when V asked how they knew his language, they responded that they learned many things
from the air, and this is where they encountered her, Veer is very, very close towards the
brotherly brotherhood of space brothers.
One of the first things that they brought up was strikingly close to take me to your leader,
they asked to see these chiefs.
Thinking that they meant the president, he tried to explain that situation to them, and
said that he was afraid that they would harm him.
They said much like any angel, we mean no harm, and began expounding the dangers of, guess
what, atomic energy.
He asked who their God was, and they replied mockingly, God, what God?
Eventually saying, we are like gods.
They also told him that they extracted their energy from the sun, they produced water
from the humidity and surrounding air, and that they produced asexually, and had overcome
all fighting and jealousy, and pretty much lived in a perfect utopia, free of striking
pain.
He asked them how they could travel such long distances without coming to harm, they asked
him to touch them.
He immediately embraced one, and described the texture of this, again utopian being, free
of all strife and jealousy as, biscuit-y.
After another hurang about atomic energy, the beings invited him into their craft.
He said that it was completely empty on the inside, just devoid of any detail, almost
like a balloon.
He said that there was absolutely no structural detail, no instruments or furniture, except
for a ledge that encircled the entire interior of the craft, which when he touched it, he
said felt like the padded arm of an armchair.
Now, V had been in the army, he came from a Navy family, so he was very well acquainted
with the interiors, helicopters, planes, tanks, even submarines.
And he said that this was vastly different from any of those.
The interior of the craft appeared transparent, and he could see his surroundings as clearly
as though he were outside.
However, it's interesting to note that he couldn't exactly remember seeing the sun
from inside of it.
Both the roof and floor followed the curvature of the disc, and presently he claimed that
he felt the disc moving.
At this stage, he realized that there was no more opening in the craft.
They flew out over the sea, cruised over the road, and told him that, due to their particular
body chemistry, they could withstand sharper maneuvers than he could.
So then they returned to the same area.
When they finally set back down, one of the entities decided to display their means of
reproduction, by lying down, dividing in the center, and forming into two smaller entities.
One of these, V actually tried to restrain by hugging it.
He imagined that he could have proof of this encounter and become rich, if only he could
capture one of these things.
However, it released this soapy substance and kind of shimmied out of his grasp.
Now this ushered the end of the encounter, the beings, now all four of them after their
little multiplication trick, re-entered the disc with the promise to return the next
day.
He then rose and flew off over the sea, leaving only a series of undulating marks in the
sand, and the witness covered in sweat and shaking and controlably, to leave the scene
and return home where he promptly went to bed.
Now, I feel like it's worth mentioning at this stage that Smyar V admitted that it was
possible that it could have been some sort of hallucination, although he had never suffered
such a spell before, and actually said that he wished he could believe that it was a
hallucination.
He wished that he could just chalk it up to that, but it still just bothered him.
I mean, think about it.
It was 15 years later, 1967, when he was talking to an acre representative about this.
And he still couldn't fully say yes, I know it was some sort of hallucination.
He still felt that there was that inkling that something had actually occurred.
And even at the time, he did go back the next day to see if the craft and strange beings
would return.
And as you probably expected, they did not.
Eventually, Smyar V underwent that old bevel with Russian hypnosis to try and figure
out exactly everything about his experience, whether it was a hallucination, a real event,
you know what?
And before we go on, I will just say this, hypnosis is a tricky, tricky business.
For people looking like Smyar V was for objective confirmation or to sort out whether an event
was real or unreal, this seems to be, in my opinion, one of the worst ways to go about
it, because there is such a propensity for the accidental implantation of false memories
and false beliefs in the hypnotic process.
On the flip side, there is a precedent for hypnosis to provide a less filtered glimpse
into the subconscious, which considering the dreamlike quality of many of these anomalous
experiences, I believe that it is at least worth mentioning here what he came up with.
And what he told them was pretty much just a recap of everything he had told investigators
well, unhypnotized, except that while hypnotized, he was insistent that it was a real event,
I think he witnessed and did not imagine.
On the flip side, the investigator for the case, Richard Greenwald, came away from the hypnotic
session, believing the event was hallucinatory, although also believing that the witness did
believe in what he was saying.
No one goes to hangs for his spreadsheets.
They go for a darn good pizza, lately though, the shop's been quiet.
So Hank decides to bring back the $1 slice.
He asks Copilot in Microsoft Excel to look at his sales and costs, and help him see if

Copilot shows Hank where the money's going, and which little extras make the $1 slice
work.
Now, Hank says, line out the door.
Hank makes the pizza, Copilot handles the spreadsheets.

The impression I get from the hypnotic transcript is simply more fear than the initial question
and answer session.
Again, being a more direct line to the subconscious, he wouldn't have had as much ability to guard
his answers and guard his emotions.
So, what we get is pretty much an unfiltered version of what he had said before, unfiltered
as in, he expressed a lot more fear, borderline terror about it.
Now this is a weird case and I'll be honest, it's one that I have been meaning to cover
here on the channel for a while.
I mean, I know that we cover a lot of bizarre and just another tinfoil hat.
But this one, it definitely fits the bill, but it has some aspects that I don't bring
up as often on this channel, such as the very space brotherly contact scenario as well
as regression hypnosis, but here we are today.
As I mentioned before, and I won't harp on the subject for too long, I won't hurrying
on it like atomic energy from the space brothers, hypnosis is tricky.
I think that the biggest use for it, it's extremely useful in determining authenticity
of the witness.
That's so much the authenticity of the event, meaning I think it's pretty much useless
in determining if an anomalous event happened objectively in the world, which in my highly
strange opinion, isn't really the full merit of an experience considering that so many
anomalous occurrences seem to exist at a crossroads between subjective experience and objective
occurrence.
So we could say that hypnosis helps determine if a witness believed they experienced what
they claimed rather than helping determine where on that spectrum of reality or objectivity,
the event occurred.
Now regarding any experience though, considering how malleable the witness's recollection
can be in hypnosis, the hypnotist has to be extremely careful not to contaminate the
statements at all with even the vaguest of leading questions or statements of belief.
Here however, we have the benefit of senior view statement prior to and during the hypnotic
regression, and it matched.
It's not something that he had to retrieve with hypnosis.
The biggest difference is just his insistence of his fear, which he hinted at in the original
statement, and Gremel and the hypnotist, Mr. Garcia, really trying to find out where
the beings came from, which the witness could not remember.
So we see here that he really didn't tend to embellish much at all in his hypnotic
regression.
It was pretty much just a restatement of facts with a little bit more emotion added in.
Now aside from the hypnosis angle of this case, it's a very, very odd case.
The main thing that attracted my attention to was the description of the beings as looking
like mummies.
Many researchers have tied the appearance of these strained wrinkled beings with another
classic of high-strangeness, the infamous pascagula abduction.
And with good reason, the pascagula entities were said to have grayish, wrinkly, elephant-like
skin, the fused, single foot, and also mittenly hands, nearly identical to these guys here.
Now the description of wrinkled or folded, fabriky skin is something that comes up from
time to time in other bizarre humanoid encounters.
There was another case out of Pennsylvania with a very similar description where the skin
of the entities almost looked like bandages or folded fabrics.
And as usual, we see a precedent in much folklore worldwide, usually pertaining to magical
beings which appear ancient.
Here too, we have a very strong iconographical tie to the dead, the description of the beings
as appearing like mummies.
Other descriptions under this icon umbrella include descriptions of entities as corpse-like,
or closer to mummies as shrouded as in the burial shroud, which can be observed from the
Malaysian pochang to the Irish banshee.
This connotation of denizens of the other world to those of the land of the dead seems
to be a very integral part of paranormal experience.
Speaking also of iconographical ties, it's interesting that we see a very similar motif
reflected in both the entities in the craft in this case.
The craft observed is this somewhat transparent or reflective, almost appearing transparent
disc with a roundish opening, also transparent, and in the center of the beings face is this
transparent oval of jelly, in the center of which was the also transparent bubble.
Now so often in these cases, both kind of aspects or angles of the encounter, the entity
and the craft, for instance, share these iconographical or almost graphic aspects.
They seem to reflect each other in some way.
In this case, it's of note that the simple combination of shapes of the larger disc with
the circle greatly resembles an eye, which of course is one of the most prevalent icons
across religious, magical, or alchemical systems, and of course, in high-strained misencounters.
A large part of this encounter correlates to the contact-y movement of the mid-century.
These benevolent utopian beings and especially their warnings about atomic energy.
It seems that in high-contact encounters, the beings' message seems to reflect societal
concerns, perhaps giving form and voice to the collective unconscious.
Before we sign off for the day, I will bring up again.
So often on this channel, we discuss cases that seem to exist at some crossroads between
the real and the dream-like, and often this becomes very paradoxical with trace evidence
or other observers lending credence or perhaps credibility to the fact that something seemingly
impossible happened, you know, on some objective level in the world, in reality, that they
can also observe.
In this case, there was no such external confirmation.
There was just one witness who, at first, believed it may have been a hallucination.
Eventually, he came to believe that it wasn't, and he never could fully accept that as
the answer.
You know, even though the original investigator did believe at the end of the day that
it was a hallucinatory, so that's why that's a big reason why I held off on doing this
case for a long time, even though it is a fantastic case of contact.
However, given the strong patterns that exist in this case to other high-strained misencounters,
I thought it was important to talk about here, too, because, again, we handle a lot of
weird stuff on this channel, and in my opinion, I think that the merit of high-strangeness
research, particularly in the paranormal, the willingness to look at all of these very,
very strange, these more fringing counters, is really kind of pushing the boundaries of
what will we accept, when will we say this is no longer of use to us, and I try to keep
a very open mind with that.
So, especially, too, in this case, given that the witness was simply so affected by the
encounter, this effect on a life, this very human effect, is simply as indelible a trace
as any other.
