We were with the stars on the carpet, after their history-making wins and in between but 24 hours after famed director ROB REINER was honored by good friend JAMIE LEE CURTIS at the awards, prosecutors announced the death penalty is off the table for son NICK REINER, who is accused of killing his father and mother MICHELE REINER. As that case continues to unfold, history was made at Peacock Theater: we were with MATTHEW RHYS after making history as the only actor to win two lead actor trophies during the same ceremony leading to his show WIDOW's BAY big sweeping wins. We were also with the couples making it a date night including a pregnant KALEY CUOCO who crashed our interview with TOM PELPHREY after his win. The night's host MARISKA HARGITAY brought the laughs and surprises pulling off a TAYLOR SWIFT cameo that producers told us was made possible with NDAs in place and a no cell-phone on set policy during filming of the moment. HARGITAY lead the charge with 13 outfit changes as the women and men both showed up on the carpet but for RHEA SEEHORN, her family was her accessory. We end with the wildest moment of the night, HACKS star MEG STALTER going full MEG by dressing up as a full on EMMY -- head-to-toe gold, wings, an orb & all.
