赫赫有名的「羅倫茲變換」就是他的苦心傑作。
他除了指導季曼，發現了季曼效應的物理含義，首次得到電子的荷質比之外，他的電動力學中還衍生出很多後來量子物理的重要發展！
他還是索爾維會議不可缺的要角，因為他精通德語、英語、法語，只有他能縱橫全場替眾人翻譯。
後來量子場論的再重整化想法的種子，也是從他的電磁質量的理論而來，
可以說微羅倫茲吾其左衽乎，真是位超前部署的物理大師。
