Ep 31: Donna Adelson's Lawyer Jumps Ship, Diddy Denied $50MM Bail, Carly Gregg Murder Video and More!

Welcome back to Courtroom Confidential with Joshua Ritter! This week, I share my insights on some of this week’s updates in the true crime world, including: 

- While 900 potential jurors waited outside for the chance to serve on the long-awaited trial of Florida matriarch Donna Adelson, inside the proceedings had descended into chaos. Before the day was over, her lead attorney Dan Rashbaum had withdrawn from the case, the judge was livid, and the defendant was in tears.  

- Hip-hop icon turned music industry mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested by federal authorities and charged with crimes tracking back decades that could place the once-powerful founder of Bad Boy Records behind bars for the rest of his life.  

- Shocking video shows Mississippi teen Carly Gregg calmly conceal a gun before shooting her mother in cold blood and then attempt to lure her step-father home to meet the same violent end. Gregg is currently on trial, with closing arguments expected to take place this week.

Additionally, I briefly cover other cases that made headlines this week, including a new prosecutor in the Karen Read retrial taking place next year, Florida woman Laurie Shaver found guilty of murdering her husband, juror misconduct claims in the case of Ashley Benefield, and new sketches released of Gilgo beach murder victim known as “Asian Doe.” Plus, I give a quick rundown of what’s on the docket for next week.
