2001年新湖國小發生了一場令人不捨的命案。吳曉蕙老師是高階警官吳振吉的女兒，但卻沒有逃過兇手的毒手，就在學校地下停車場，被發現衣服凌亂，臉上被塗滿泥土，已經死亡多時。當時現場凌亂，吳曉蕙老師車上發現了幾枚小指紋，但資料庫中沒有紀錄，讓此案發當時警方毫無破案頭緒。
八年後，兇嫌再度犯案，經由警方人員比對冷案，終於找出原來當時比對不出的指紋，就是當年才15歲就犯案的黃啟峰。
