Episode 2423 - The Power of....you!

0:00Good evening, hope you had an awesome day. Now first of all, if you're in Toronto, hope you're doing well. That was quite an intense storm. Literally hail the size of golf balls, wins that literally uprooted trees and so much different damage and pieces. I hope everyone is okay. And if there is anything that happens, it's just on sticks and stones and houses and cars. All of which, please God, it can be fixed. However, a friend of mine sent me a message in the middle of that saying, wow, you know what? This is a display of just how powerful God can change things in an instant, which is true. You forget about the power of literally just a wind, rain, and a little bit of ice and unbelievable damage that could happen in a second. Not God forbid saying God's flexing is muscle to go and show that, but we have to remember that the power, the awesomeness of the weather is just a small reflection of the awesomeness and power that's behind the one who creates it. However, I responded to the good friend of mine. I said, you know what? The truth is, that might be true, but we know what else is true, the power of the individual

1:04to respond. So, I jumped on the WhatsApp of our school group, which has a whole bunch of people and I said, hey, anybody need help? We're a mishpah, we're a family. All of a sudden, somebody sent me a message and said, yeah, I've got some flooding in my basement. Do you know anyone who has a fan? So I posted it back on our WhatsApp chat and sure enough, someone did and then another and then somebody said they've got a broken glass window and I posted on our group or WhatsApp chat from the show, anybody know anything about windows? Sure enough, somebody did. Then there was something to do with the roof, something to do with the chainsaw. It just kept going and what was amazing was the power of people to step into help others. For different basements flooded, it needed fans. Windows that were broken, roofs that were pulled off in an electrical panel that needed to be assessed and tree in the back of a house that required someone with a chainsaw. All of those things not requiring to wait for professionals, but just crowdsourcing in our school WhatsApp community. Because at the end of the day, while there is tremendous power that God has, He also wants

2:08to see and remind us that you and I have tremendous agency and power to be there and help each other as well. So whenever there's something that's going on, rather than just focusing on what's going on, always think to yourself, what can I do to help in this situation?
