從小就很聽話的14歲Breck Bednar有一天在網路遊戲中認識了一個17歲的人叫Lewis Daynes。 對Breck來說，Lewis是他的偶像：很年輕就已有高薪的工作，而且還為美國政府工作。Breck就開始非常信任他偶像所講的每一句話。

認識Lewis之後，Breck的母親 Lorin，就開始察覺到Breck的行為有很大的改變，不像他以前的樣子。 

這些改變只是因為青少年的叛逆期嗎？還是跟Breck的新朋友Lewis有關呢？....
