In this unscripted episode of Dad Jokes and Discernment, we stepped away from our planned topic and followed what was on our hearts in the moment—landing in the book of Job.

What do you do when life falls apart? When suffering doesn’t make sense? When everything you built seems to be taken away?

We talk through Job’s story, his response to unimaginable loss, and what it really means when Scripture says he “fell down and worshiped.” We wrestle with big questions like why God allows suffering, what it means that He is sovereign, and how faith holds up under pressure.

We also look at the fear of the Lord, the reality of a fallen world, and how Job points us forward to a deeper trust in God—even when answers don’t come quickly or easily.

This isn’t polished theology. It’s a real conversation between three men trying to stay faithful in the middle of life, Scripture, and hard questions.
